The first thing that impressed me was how exceptionally clean everything was – from the room itself to the bathroom and common areas. It’s clear that cleanliness is a top priority here, and it truly made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout my stay. The location is also ideal – right in the heart of the city, within walking distance to great restaurants, shops, and public transportation. Despite being so central, the hotel was quiet and peaceful, offering the best of both worlds. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick and hassle-free.

The only minor downside was that, being an attic room, it didn’t have a standard window. Instead, there was only a skylight in the ceiling, which let in some natural light but didn’t offer a view or the ability to easily get fresh air. While this might not bother everyone, it’s something to be aware of if you prefer rooms with regular windows.

The staff was amazing! Even before we arrived, they sent a message asking for our arrival time, I told them and they made arrangements for us to be able to leave bags and so on. They were so nice and even changed us into a bigger room, and we didn't ask. Both rooms were nice. The place is clean and it smells so good everyday as they clean daily. Bathroom had the seals so you know no one has handled and is clean. Bed was too comfortable. They place has a sitting area and I love to read so it's perfect. Has a nice patio too. Check out was easy and they let us leave our bags as we had a late flight. This place is in a great location! This has been by far one of my best places I have stayed. Love the staff.

We had a wonderful 2 nights at Comercial Boutique Guest House. If we had not been leaving the island we would have easily stayed longer. Staff wise we only met Carlos, he was so helpful and charming and had an infectious laugh. The area was great, parks, churches, restaurants and walking distance to the sea. The atmosphere on the street is fun and alive. The terrace was a lovely addition. We enjoyed to sit out and have coffee. There is also a kitchen was available to use from 9 to 9.

I can't find anything to complain about

Prefect location in town. Once we moved rooms, it was very spacious and comfortable. Large room and balcony was great. One of the staff members didn't speak English, but he was very friendly and we tried our best to speak Spanish. The staff who spoke English was very friendly once he arrived. Parking was easy enough. Some of the streets are very narrow so we opted to park a few blocks away on a larger street. Paid parking during the day (but very cheap).

We paid for the family room and the staff tried to put us in a smaller room without saying anything. When we asked them about it, they said they thought we would be more comfortable in the room with 1 bed (we aren't a couple). They said it was quieter. We asked that we get the room we asked for and it was full for our first night, so they offered to move our bags the next day into the room we booked. Shower is small but worked ok for us. There is no reception so it was a bit difficult to find a staff member when you needed to ask something.

I am so glad to have discovered this guest house! Very close to the centre of Ponta Delgada, with easy access to shops and restaurants. A warm greeting, a large room, a huge and very comfortable bed, plus help getting my suitcase up and down the stairs to and from my bedroom. Plus a very understanding member of staff who offered me refuge in the guest house lounge/reading room between checkout and checkin at my next port of call. Had it been possible to stay here for the entirety of my stay in Ponta Delgada, I would have leapt at the chance. I will definitely try and book here before trying anywhere else when I next visit Ponta Delgada!

Everything about the Comercial Azores Boutique was perfect! Carlos ans Anibal went above and beyond to make our stay the best on the island. That's saying a lot considering we visited Sao Miguel for an entire month and stayed at multiple locations. The room was clean, spacious and looked exactly like the photos. If you're fortunate enough to spend time on this magical island, you'll be in good hands at the Comercial Azores Boutique. 5 STARS!!!

I didn't like the fact that we didn't find this gem a lot sooner! 😊 It's right in the city center and walkable to all the beautiful sites of Ponta Delgada!

Very close to city center & clean accommodation

- There was a free pineapple tour included with this accommodation. Since we didn't have a car, the staff helped us and booked a taxi to the pineapple plantation. Sadly enough the taxi driver dropped us at the wrong plantation.😔 So we missed the pineapple tour, paid unnecessary cost for the taxi and lost precious time walking one hour back to the accommodation. Since the taxi was booked by the staff, you would expect to be dropped off at the correct location.

The place is right in the center of the town and is very accessible. The staff is friendly and the cleaning is exceptional.

- The lack of a fridge in the room, that forced us to depend on the schedule of staff to access the common kitchen - The lack of sound insulation. We could hear people using the bathroom, people talking in the hall whenever they got to the hotel, and the neighbors from the ground floor cleaning after customers and talking/arguing (there’s a vegetarian restaurant at the street level called Saint Seitan) - and I can only imagine they’re the ones we heard screaming.

Well situated for walking throughout central Ponto Delgada to sights, restaurants, cafes, shops. The house, room and lounge areas were always immaculately kept.

The bed was on the softer side and the pillows were a hard (though I discovered on our last night my husband’s pillow was “just right” so if I’d bothered to ask Carlos I’d probably been able to exchange pillows🤷🏻‍♀️) Toiletries included bar soap and shampoo only so had to buy conditioner at the nearby market. No deal breakers here!

The property was very centrally located and was near to lots of restaurants. The staff member who was there to check us in and help us was a lovely man, who was very helpful and kind. The room was always cleaned with fresh bedding, and the room had a nice view of the town!

Everything was great, only slight issue is that the building doesn’t have a lift and we were on the third floor (about 60 steps up!) But this did not take away from our time spent at the guesthouse. Also felt that the room could’ve done with a bit more furniture and storage but it was a smaller room so not a huge issue. The bigger rooms seemed to have more storage/space! If we stayed again we would book the bigger rooms :)
