Maria at the front desk was so wonderful. Friendly, cheerful, informative, she really made our day! Good size room, comfy beds, great AC, and large bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was exceptional. Eggs, bacon, mushrooms, fresh yoghurt, fresh fruit, cheeses and different kinds of fresh bread. We loved the coffee and the wait staff were lovely. Central location and cool lobby. Highly recommend this property.

Very nice room, comfortable beds, great location, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful breakfast, super Japanese restaurant.

For older people, the bathtub could have used some helpful handholds as the tub was slippery and deep.

The rooms were large, clean and quiet!! The location of this hotel was great!! We had multiple excursions booked during our stay, and the hotel was not more than a 10 minute walk from any starting point. The breakfast was always ready, fresh and delicious!!

Parking was not great. There was one spot directly in front of the hotel, a few underground. Otherwise, you had to go to a public lot. There was no charge for any of the options. I am also sure this is not an issue specific to this hotel as parking appeared to be limited every where. Our recommendation would be to skip a rental car and hire drivers.

A lovely boutique hotel in a great location in Ponta Delgada. If you can swing it get a superior room—they are in the historical wing and are significantly nicer than those in the modern wing. High ceilings, bathroom was new, all very clean. It was nice to see the historical bones of the building, gave character. Breakfast was good, a mix of hot food (eggs, mushrooms, bacon) and yogurt with fruit, breads and cheeses. I just wish there was more variety day-to-day. The staff were all nice, but wanted to give a special shout out to Joanna at the front desk. She was beyond helpful, especially when we needed to change rooms. She was able to think creatively and was so gracious is assisting us with the change. In addition she gave the best list of restaurants in the area. We are foodies, and she knows food! Be sure to go to Nonnas next door —great pizza!

This is minor but the OJ was bad the last day. One of our daughters felt a little ill.

Exceptional staff. Got given a room with 2 steps between bathroom and bedroom with no handrail. Asked to be moved to a level room and this was done as soon as one was ready. Also found the shower in the bath to be slippy so a non slip matt was produced for the bath. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were exceptional. Room was great,comfy bed good wifi etc They also arranged a day touring the island for me which was very good and reasonably priced with a pick up and drop off to the hotel.

Shower in bath did not have a thermostat so could go from freezing to boiling without warning. Room had a fridge but no kettle which would have been nice. Had I asked I'm sure one would have appeared but I had my travel kettle with me.

We loved the hotel, the spacious, nicely decorated room and the side street that makes it very comfortable for sleep. I am sensitive to noise and there was none. The staff was very helpful and professional. The breakfast is buffet and has a very nice selection. I loved the coffee machine for cappuccino. We had a patio with a view! In Portugal it is necessary to state that there are two people in a double room if you are two because of the cost of a breakfast. A point we did not understand because the staff I think thought we understood that the “extra” charge was for breakfast but they did not explain it clearly from their point it is obvious. Finally a manager understood our concern and explained it. It all worked out beautifully. I recommend this hotel!

I loved the spacious rooms and the location - we were in the heart of the town, only a few mins walk from all the restaurants and bars. The entrance hall was very stylish and we appreciated the choice of breakfast items.

Unfortunately the free parking on site was almost inaccessible, and we quickly understood that we couldn't use this with our compact SUV. The car lift would have been a faff to use and too tight. There is free parking only a short walk away though, so use this. The hotel reception was so helpful with telling us where this was. Thank you for helping us with this! It took the stress out of parking in the narrow streets nearby.

This is a charming, small, and cozy hotel. The way the building was remodeled and decorated makes guests feel like they are in a distinctive and refined space. Although the breakfast doesn't have much variety, the quality and freshness of all the products are certainly noteworthy. Overall, the entire staff was very attentive and friendly. Another positive aspect to highlight is that the housekeeping service genuinely respects the "do not disturb" signs on the doors. For a 4-star hotel, the room was truly spacious and very pleasantly arranged. The location in the historic center of Ponta Delgada is undoubtedly a highlight.

As for the less positive points, it is noteworthy that the breakfast room is the same one used for the sushi restaurant, decorated with Japanese and Oriental motifs, which makes the breakfast atmosphere a bit strange. Another downside is that the hotel's parking requires a staff member to manually open the gate and operate the lift platform, which is a time-consuming process and can cause traffic congestion in the city, making guests uncomfortable. This is important because there is very little parking in the center of Ponta Delgada and many tourists use rental cars.

I love quality, quaint, boutique, hotels, and this one was exceptional. From the moment you unload your luggage on the narrow streets and walk into the lobby, I knew I would like this place. It looks as though the hallways and bedrooms may have been recently remodeled because everything is in pristine condition. The room is large and ours overlooked the courtyard pool, a nice touch bed. Linens for crisp towels are thick, breakfast in their dining room was very good with healthy options. The staff were all very helpful, especially the front desk.

There was nothing to not like about this property

This is a renovation and addition to an ancient building that retains some beautiful, original stonework. It appears to have been rehabbed in the mid 00’s in the contemporary fashion. Beds were perfect- firm with nice linens. Bath had a big tub and bidet with endless hot water. Great location and couple blocks from the main plaza, lots of eateries but fairly quiet given the location. easy street parking or in their garage. Breakfast was big with lots of unpackaged (fresh) pastry products, juices, fruit, eggs, bacon, cheeses, yogurt etc. it has a beautiful indoor pool.

Because of the renovation age it does not have some of the features like bedside outlets that you would get in a new renovation. Carpets were a bit worn and soiled.
