The hotel is beautiful. Indoor and outdoor pools are wonderful. The quality of the food for breakfast is really high. The bread in particular was far better than in most hotels. The hotel also had a room with a pool/billiard table, which was a luxury. We had a family suite with two bedrooms and a terrasse, which functioned really well for two adults and two teenage boys. We had to leave at 4:30 in the morning. Even so early, it was possible to get breakfast at 4 AM and even have the staff make a change in our taxi booking. This was impressive service.

When we arrived and often, when we approached the desk in the reception with questions, we were not received with a smile. Not that they were not friendly, but I missed the smile to make me feel welcomed. If you park in the hotel garage, be careful since the entrance including some pillars is very narrow. The toll bars for in- and out-going cars stand close, and once when we were in the middle of driving in, someone else drove out. After the other car had left, the toll bar (on the other side) descended on our car and made a scratch on the side of our car. Thankfully, we were insured, but the bars are definitely too long to stand so close.

The breakfast was fabulous, staff was extremely nice and always availabla to help. The room was quite spacious, bed very confortable, only the bathroom looked outdated deserving some other amenities and offers. The pool was very good a relaxation spot no doubt.

The sauna did not have water neither to pour on the stones or to drink, what seems a bit slovenliness, the saunas's door does not seal as it should. The same happens with the Gym, there was not botles of water or fountain of water to the onde who wanted to train. They could have a plate or two and cutelery in the room, as wellas tea bags and cups. The interior garden could have clean waters and the plants and flowers should be take care better and more often so that it could be even more pleasent

Great breakfast buffet- lots of options and delicious coffee (people kept complaining about coffee machine, but have patience and it’s good coffee, quit complaining), indoor pool was wonderful as was outdoor pool and gardens. Great location with parking included. Comfy beds, big rooms, family room had 2 bathrooms! Lovely lobby, bar, and waiting area before leaving for airport. Would definitely stay again!

Got a little hot at night, a/c was okay after I opened the door before bed for about 30 min- 1 hour. Kept the door closed at night and it was fine after learning that trick. Other than this it was a lovely property. One bathroom had super narrow shower, but really good water pressure… and we had two bathrooms so really not a problem.

I had a wonderful stay at Azoris Royal Garden – Leisure & Conference Hotel. The facilities were excellent, well-maintained, and made for a very comfortable experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. The food was also great, with good variety and quality. Everything about my stay was smooth and enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-managed place to stay. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

There were a couple of things that could be improved. I was required to wear a cap for the pool, which was fine, but when I requested one at reception, I wasn’t informed that there was a charge. It was a surprise to find out at checkout that each cap cost €3—it would have been much better if this had been communicated upfront. Another small issue was with breakfast. Early in the morning, the scrambled eggs were hot and fresh, but after 8:30 AM, they tended to be a bit cold. A little more attention to keeping the food warm would make a big difference.

Had a fantastic stay with plenty of amenities! The gym, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and even a tennis court were impressive—I wish I had more time to enjoy them all. Breakfast was decent, and they also had bikes available for rent, which was a nice touch. A great spot for a relaxing and activity-filled getaway!

I was still hearing music at 11 PM, so better soundproofing would be appreciated. Also, for a 4-star hotel, I expected the staff to offer assistance with carrying luggage from the room. Still, overall, it was a nice stay with lots of potential.

The hotel is beautiful, set in a quiet location in the town of Ponta Delgada on the gorgeous and idyllic island of São Miguel. The common areas of the hotel are spacious and comfortable and the game room with a billiard table was fun for the evening after getting a drink from the bar. The room had a great view of the outdoor swimming pool. The bed was incredibly comfy and the room was spacious and had plenty of storage. The included Nespresso machine in the room was an excellent bonus. The facilities such as gym, steam room, sauna, pool and jacuzzi were great.

I found the bathroom to be a bit outdated compared to the rest of the room and hotel.

The staff is nice, the hotel is big and spacious. On the first floor there are lots of chairs, benches and tables that invite you to just sit and relax. The indoor pool is a nice size, and there is a steam room and a sauna. Dinner at the KOI restaurant is good and reasonably priced if you are dining a la carte. It is easy to walk into the center of town and the airport is only 10 minutes away. That means that you will have aircraft flying close by during the day, but I didn't hear or see any planes late at night.

The sauna is not very hot.

Azoris Royal Garden is one of the most luxurious Hotels in Ponta Delgada. It's conveniently located 10 minutes from the airport and provides a nice, comfortable suite. Most Staff were friendly, spoke English, and were accommodating. Nice rooms with closets and balconies. They offered us two rooms connecting my kid's room to ours, making things much more convenient. Hotels provide Parking spaces if you plan on renting a car for 9 Euros a night. The parking spots are tight, but there are plenty of spaces and even spots for EVs. The best feature was the Pool, a big hit with my kids. It was nicely maintained and clean, and we truly enjoyed swimming and cooling off by the pool during our stay. You can walk to the downtown and local shops and restaurants within 20 minutes. It's a great location!

While the Hotel was close to the airport, the planes crossed right over the Hotel and on busy nights, you could hear the planes throughout the night. It was loud and woke us up for the first two nights until we got used to it later. The showers could have been a bit cleaner. We stayed at 411 and 412, and there was some build-up of black Mold around the corners. We ignored it as this hotel was great and loved our stay. Don't let little things discourage you, as you would love your stay!

family room is spacious and very comfortable, breakfast are good, but almost the same stuff everyday. nice swimming pool, tennis court and small but clean gym.

dinners weren't great, in form of buffet but disappointing. better to go out and try one of dozens of restaurant in surroundings. I went for a massage which was also disappointing, relaxing massage was a torture, too much pain too few pleasure 😜 and let's be honest it's not a cheap place so my expectations were set pretty high.

The staff was fantastic. One of the restaurant employees went out of his way to refill our water bottles during our first morning at breakfast. We discovered markets and were able to buy water for the remainder of our stay. Lots of good restaurants are within walking distance, as is the waterfront. The Koi restaurant in the hotel was very good too. We stayed at in a family suite. It had lots of nice amenities: robes, slippers, a Nespresso coffee maker, and cookies delivered every evening. The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping staff was very accommodating.

The most bothersome thing was a loud sound that occasionally came through the vents. We figured out that it was probably from the elevators. We got use to it, and it wasn’t a problem after the first day.
