The hotel has a good location very quiet but still next to the city centre where you can see historical sights,shops,the marina and restaurants.The beach is like one hour by foot but there is a public transport,unfortunately no time table anywhere so it's a bit challenging to travel with...the hotel is very clean,most of the building was refurbished inside,outside looks outdated.The room was spacious and very clean,breakfast is basic but delicious and the wellness area is really good and clean.It's a good value as accomodation so we do recommend this hotel.

Service is efficient but some staff members from reception and especially in the canteen are very unfriendly,no "good morning", no "thank you", no "sorry" nothing...but we have seen that the people are like this in the town as well (restaurants and shops) they are very serious,looks unwelcoming and unfriendly.On land the people where open and friendly.

We stayed in many PDL hotels over the years and this surely is one of the best. To spite a street side room there was only moderate noise. A very comfortable bathroom although just one sink. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast has everything you would expect with the addition of local Azores produce. Throughout all common areas typical hotel muzak is heard There is a small wellness area with the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath included (the latter a first for me, now I know how broccoli feels in my steamer). There is also a beauty and massage salon operated independently but that is only open during daytime hours when we were out exploring the island. The bar has a good choice of drinks and very affordable meals. Recommended! .

The staff (front desk & bar/restaurant) were exceptional. They answered questions and explained how the parking worked and we were able to park right across the street, which was free due to the weekend, so we didn't need their parking garage. The evening in the bar/restaurant area was very nice as the bartender was exceptional and caring for the bar and bar food service guests. Kudos to him! Our room was nice with a very nice bathroom (shower/tub combo) and with a small but very comfortable balcony was a nice plus for the evening! As we had an early flight, the staff informed us that we could visit the breakfast area a little early and we were able to have coffee and several items that were ready. Thank you!

The pool and hot tub facilities were clean and well presented; however, the hot tub was only slightly heated above the pool temperature.

Hotel Ponta Delgada offers comfortable rooms with balcony and views of the water. The staff is very friendly and helpful. AC worked great, the bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. Hair Dryer was not attached to the wall so I could take it out to the bedroom to plug it and free up the bathroom for my spouse to get ready. You can park in the garage for 10€/day. Bar has light menu options and there is a restaurant next door.

No tourist information or even a map available from front desk. No bottled water for sale or otherwise in the room. Later, I saw people buy liters from the bar.

Room and bathroom size were great, absolutely huge bed, location, exceptional friendliness of staff, cleanliness, balcony, quiet AC that worked very well. There were many things we didn't use, though, that no other places we have stayed in Portugal had, so that's great if you are looking for them so we can't include in our review (pool, sauna, bar, etc.).

Breakfast. They covered all the bases and possibly it's because it was our first introduction to Azorean food but it just didn't have the options we'd had in Lisbon. Really missed having a variety of fresh fruit including pineapple, berries, melon, or bananas. Parking costing more money than was indicated on the services description in room and having to pay for parking at all. Having to pay extra charge if you wanted to use in-room safe.

Slightly better lighting in bathrooms will definitely improve the room experience. Having spend a week at the hotel you would want the breakfast changed slightly from one day to the next. Street parking available but could be a challenge at times.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean and beautifully decorated room with balcony - with kettle and coffee/tea available. Charging outlets next to each side of bed and good lighting. The bathroom was clean and had basic toiletries on request at reception. Continental breakfast with variety of bread, ham, cheese, and hot scrambled eggs and bacon, yogurt, and fruits. Pool and jacuzzi were great, open from 9a-9pm (wanted to use the sauna, but remained close and had no instructions) One of the nights, I ordered room service (additional €5) for dinner from their restaurant, O Baco, and it was great! Location:10 mins from airport, paid €10 (with luggage) by taxi. It's about 10mins walk to the city gates, and 5 mins to Forte São a Brás along the water.

The hotel is 10 mins away from the airport, and my room/balcony faces it so you can see and hear the planes take off and land around 6-7am and before midnight (10-11pm ish). The noise didn't bother me as it was interesting to see, but others might, so requesting a room on the other side of the hotel might be better.

Great location. Good sized rooms. The swimming pool and hot tub are a pleasant surprise, they were usually empty when I used it but they’re clean and provide some r&r after a day of exploring. Staff were polite.

The breakfast was mediocre; it did the job but was very basic. The beds are extremely firm and the pillows provide no neck support - but I did request a different pillow which house keeping staff did manage to source and it was a little better.

The breakfast was delicious, the staff was friendly, the room was clean and as shown in the photos. There is an indoor pool but we did not use it. There were tea making utensils in the room. The hotel is a few minutes drive from the airport. You can also easily walk into the city in a few minutes. Our room on the sixth floor even had a sea view.

Due to the proximity to the airport, you can of course hear the planes taking off and landing - but that didn't bother us.

Calm area close to everything, balcony was great when there was sun and its easy to get a car to rent when you want to explore. Hotel is large and really nice.

Only thing id complain on is that they had some kind of water prevention blanket underneath the sheets but other wise comfy beds and rooms in general.
