We loved our stay at Sul Villas! The property is breathtaking and the staff is welcoming and helpful with bookings and recommendations. The food was also very delicious - some of the best we had while staying on the island.

Ana Lemons and the staff were excellent hostess and hosts before our stay. Her communication throughout was professional responsive and extremely helpful. The entire wait staff in the restaurant was exceptional as well.

The rooms need a walkway from the patios to the grounds, it was hard to get access to the grounds that were a selling feature when we booked. It all worked out however you have to exit the room walk to the pool area through the spa and then onto the grounds.

We had a fantastic stay at Sul Villas and Spa. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating to us during the entirety of our time at the resort, from helping us order taxis to organizing an earlier checkout when we had just gotten in from a long flight; the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We really appreciated the privacy of our villa as well as the beautiful view. The room was also well decorated and had everything needed for our stay. The hotel restaurant was great for when you did not want to leave the resort, and Lagoa town has some good options for dinner if you are looking for something different. We highly recommend Sul Villas and Spa and would love to return. Obrigada!!

The gym was small and had minimal equipment but was overall clean and well-maintained Wished there were some more traditional Portuguese food options for breakfast

The property was lovely and the Prime Villa is the way to go. The apartment is on top of the main building with a spectacular, unobstructed view. We enjoyed the hot tub and resting on the lounge chairs. The unit was extremely clean and housekeeping came daily. The breakfast was wonderful - yes, it's the same menu every day but there are so many choices that you don't get bored. Plus, they serve fresh muffins every morning that are varied each day. The smoothies also change each day. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. A wonderful stay.

Just an FYI for visitors - it's a tight street and multi-point turn to get into/out of the premises!

The staff were excellent. We especially enjoyed Rui’s dinner service as well as his help in suggesting alternate restaurant options and sights to see on the island that were his favourites.

What was lacking was in the villa itself. The lighting was very poor around our entryway at night. So dark that I fell and hurt my ankle. The room needed some drawers to put clothes, and the bathroom needed a proper towel bar (not a ladder), drawers, and a mirror that wasn’t on the back of the door (as it fogged up after a shower and was unusable).

Everything was exceptional! Staff was friendly and attentive, villas are spacious with modern interior. There are not so many people, so this place is perfect for relaxation. You need to book breakfast for specific times, but this is not a big deal and selection of food is huge (a la carte). Would really recommend this for a friend, we stayed in another hotel and for the same price it was much worse. Also, plenty of free parking, location is great to reach every spot in the island!

I was so impressed with how the staff made you feel so welcomed as soon as you walked in the door, and continued to be kind and so helpful throughout our stay. The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent . The dinner we ate at the hotel was the best I have had since being in Portugal! The entire facility is kept exceptionally clean and the views are breathtaking. I highly recommend this hotel. 5 stars from me!!😊

Our junior villa was comfortable (great aircon, comfortable bed, equipped kitchenette, closet space, clean!) and spacious with lots of natural light and privacy overlooking the ocean. We loved relaxing in our private mini pool! We appreciated the cheesecake treats, too :) We were completely blown away by the quality of the on-site restaurant - the included breakfasts were outstanding and sooooo much food! And the dinners were so mouthwateringly delicious we never ate dinner anywhere else on the island! The hotel and restaurant staff were all exceptionally accommodating and friendly. We cannot wait to come back!

You do have to make a reservation for breakfast and sometimes on the morning of, I'd wished we'd either booked it earlier or later. But this is really minor and I understand why a reservation is needed - their breakfast is a production and well worth making your reservation time! We also thought we'd be able to see the ocean view while in our mini pool, but it's so low all we could see was the grass directly in front of our room. We were mildly bummed at first, but again, incredibly minor and could've just been our room no 1. We still very much enjoyed our mini private pool!

Excellent accommodation with even better restaurant. An excellent, varied breakfast and two best dinners we tried on the island. We ate the best cheesecake ever. Big praise for the chef. Reasonsble dinner prices even cheaper then in other restaurants on the iceland. Extremely friendly staff. The only small complaint is the narrow street that you have to take back to the facility after dinner, but that can also be avoided by having dinner in their restaurant. You will not be sorry.

Nothing, we were satisfied with everything.

After 5 days of exploration of Sao Miguel island, to spend last 2 days of our vacation at Sul Villas was a bliss. We enjoyed very much the beautiful room and terrace with a stunning view and the private heated pool (we had the chance of an upgrade, that was amazing). The main pool was very nice as well. Breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly. Highly recommended!
