Loved the old restored house and the dining room was excellent. Close to everything you want to walk to in Baddeck. Rooms in the motel style area are fairly quiet, even with the festival going on in the street. Housekeeping everyday, they were awesome! Loved sitting on the verandah each morning to have my coffee and watch the main street activities from a distance.
The only real challenge was parking. If you come later in the day, you may not be parking close to your room but there were always spots to be found. The WIFI could be a little sketchy but overall, the streaming services in the rooms worked well and it improved out on the verandah.

We we’re lucky to get a room in the back (not the main building) so we had our own deck and a beautiful view. Room was spacious; clean; and quiet. Property is right down town so we walked to everything.
I did not like the restaurant: way overpriced; very small servings; and I didn’t like my meal (scallops: 5 tiny dried up scallops on a bed of rice that had so many peppers that was all you could taste). I didn’t eat most of my meal and the waitress asked if there was something wrong … when I said I didn’t like it at all she shrugged and walked away. All that for over $40.00!

We stayed in a well appointed, clean small room in the main inn. The restaurant service and food in the evening (Cable Room) was excellent, perfect!
Make sure you know what you are booking because there is no lift and no air conditioning, we knew that, but it was a bit hot while we were there, so the ceiling fan was helpful! It was a bit disappointing not to be able to have breakfast in the inn, although there was a place just over the road. There was coffee available in reception, we would have appreciated a tea too!

Clean room, very sweetly decorated. Lovely continental breakfast. Old-fashioned feel that we enjoyed. Great access to streaming services like Netflix. We loved the bakery across the street (the High Wheeler Cafe and Bakery) and took one of their “Cabot Trail Box Lunches” with us. We also enjoyed hiking to the water fall nearby and walking down to the waterfront.
My only complaint was that it would be closer to the water or at least have a view. We had a sort-of view from our 3rd-floor balcony, but over a hardware store.

The room on the upper floor at the back of the hotel, with stairs to the parking lot was nice. The beds were comfortable, the heating and "inovative air system" worked well. The shower was spectacular - awesome water pressure and generous hot water ... fabulous! The Cable Room Restaurant dinner was Excellent - Highly suggest you make a booking!
Didn't like the traffic of guests past our only windows on the shared deck (no privacy and a bit intrusive). Need to provide a suitable plug in location for phones at the nightstand (it's a necessity now days).

The location was ideal for walking around town, getting something to eat and even the museum. We had two of the private cabins in back and they were clean and comfortable. Nicely appointed too. We only stayed for one evening, but we ate at the restaurant in the main house and it was very good. The staff were really nice and engaging. In the morning we went across the street for a nice breakfast at the cafe. I wish we had been able to stay longer and enjoy the town.
I have no complaints.

The beds were comfortable and the location is perfect. It is located near many restaurants and shops on the main street but the town is quiet at night. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We had an excellent meal on our anniversary. The best meal we had in Nova Scotia.
The only drawback was the curtains did not block enough light. The bright lights that lit the steps to the inn shone into the room. A blackout shade or any kind of shade would be helpful.

The location is amazing - there is a great brunch place across the road with gf options! And the dinner at the property's restaurant is really the best in town possible - we didn't eat many places. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. The AC was not the best and the room was pretty warm until it was freezing, but I understand it was uncharacteristically hot when we were there. other than that. we were quite happy with the room.
the AC.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean and had a nice view of the town. Location was great! We could walk anywhere in town. We appreciated the fresh complimentary coffee in the morning and the advice/tips for driving the Cabot Trail.
The room was very small for two people. Our room was on the third floor and the stairway was steep and narrow so it was a bit more difficult than expected getting our bags to the room.

Location of motel is very central and very convenient to main restaurants, entertainment and attractions in Baddeck. The main building itself is very historic and has a good reading room to relax in.
Did not realize the two double beds rooms were all in a motel building behind the main building. While the motel setup made parking right next to room convenient for baggage transfer, motel feeling differs from main historic building inn feeling.
