The room was clean and had a fairly small bathroom. It included a closet, and a small coffee maker/fridge. We did not stay in the main building, but in the back addition. We did eat at the restaurant, which is known for its farm to table cuisine. It was absolutely delicious, but on the pricy side. Location was across from a nice cafe, which we frequented for breakfast, as no breakfast was included with our stay. No swimming pool or other "extra" amenities. Just down the road from the Alexander Graham Bell museum, and within walking distance of the waterfront/stores/other hotels in the area.
Would have loved discount at the restaurant, since we were guests and an included hot breakfast. Otherwise, no complaints with our room or the location. Found it to be quite expensive, likely as we stayed here during peak season July/August.

Front desk seemed always busy which meant waiting. However, staff were always pleasant and helpful. Accommodations were very good, comfortable bed, air conditioner which was a must as we were there during a hot spell. Although I had booked for four, I had to obtain sufficient towels, facecloths as there were only enough for two. We stayed in the motel so it meant a walk to the main building. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice if they had prepared for our stay. Overall, it was very good and I would recommend it. We ate at the Cable Room. The service and food was exemplary.

We had such a fantastic two-night stay at the Telegraph House. Shawn was extremely welcoming and helped us pick some of the best activities to do each day. He was very helpful and accommodating and you can tell he really cares about his guests. The room was newly updated and the bed was comfortable. They thought of even the small things - there were ample outlets to plug electronics into and a nightstand on each side of the bed. Plus, it’s centrally located in Baddeck right across the street from the best breakfast place in town. Loved the stay, 10/10 would stay again and recommend.

Loved the old restored house and the dining room was excellent. Close to everything you want to walk to in Baddeck. Rooms in the motel style area are fairly quiet, even with the festival going on in the street. Housekeeping everyday, they were awesome! Loved sitting on the verandah each morning to have my coffee and watch the main street activities from a distance.
The only real challenge was parking. If you come later in the day, you may not be parking close to your room but there were always spots to be found. The WIFI could be a little sketchy but overall, the streaming services in the rooms worked well and it improved out on the verandah.

We were in the motel like units at the back and enjoyed the easy access to our room. The hotel location was excellent for visiting the town and surrounding areas. The beds were comfortable and the unit was clean with all the necessary ammenities. The attached Cable room restaurant was very good for dinner. It would have been great to have had breakfast included, but there was a good restaurant accross the street. A good choice for a stay in Baddeck.
No complaints.

We we’re lucky to get a room in the back (not the main building) so we had our own deck and a beautiful view. Room was spacious; clean; and quiet. Property is right down town so we walked to everything.
I did not like the restaurant: way overpriced; very small servings; and I didn’t like my meal (scallops: 5 tiny dried up scallops on a bed of rice that had so many peppers that was all you could taste). I didn’t eat most of my meal and the waitress asked if there was something wrong … when I said I didn’t like it at all she shrugged and walked away. All that for over $40.00!

We enjoyed our stay at telegraph house, the rooms were clean, safe and lovely. The front desk clerk was knowledgeable and welcoming! The rooms had a keurig coffee machine with McDonald’s coffee. I’m not speaking hyperbolic when I say that was super exciting! when you’re travelling on the Cabot trail coffee will be scarce once you hit the road and is appreciated! It was a good spot and good value considering most hotels started over $200. The main house is beautiful!

Location is great, first impression very charming. Staff very attentive and helpful.
Booked three rooms with air conditioning. (Queen Rooms). We were unlucky enough that the AC unit (from the 70s) at first did not work at all. Manager /owner attended to the issue right away. Sadly though that the AC was too loud to hear oneself think. We opted to open the windows instead. Sadly one window kept falling down plus holes in fly screens.

We stayed in a well appointed, clean small room in the main inn. The restaurant service and food in the evening (Cable Room) was excellent, perfect!
Make sure you know what you are booking because there is no lift and no air conditioning, we knew that, but it was a bit hot while we were there, so the ceiling fan was helpful! It was a bit disappointing not to be able to have breakfast in the inn, although there was a place just over the road. There was coffee available in reception, we would have appreciated a tea too!

Very clean. Friendly staff. Great location. Great beds. Table and chairs in front of room. Fridge in room.
The air conditioner didn't work. We slept with the window open. The second night wasn't as hot. The bathroom is small. It was not easy to accommodate the luggage of 2 travelers. Not enough plug-ins. We had to take a lamp off the nightstand so my companion could plug in their cpap machine.
