I was really impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, as well as the clean, modern aesthetic of my room and the common areas, and the high-quality breakfast on offer. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from two different metro stations and about a half-hour walk from several key sites like St. Paul's Cathedral, the Monument to the Great Fire of London, and the Tower of London, which was extremely convenient for a traveller like me who was visiting the city alone without a car. And, despite being very central, I never had any issues with noise or light pollution.

As much as I appreciated the overall comfort and splendour of my room, there were times when it did feel slightly cramped. As a solo traveller, I don't need much room in general, and if you're planning on spending most of your time outside the hotel then it's not an issue in any case; but for those people who, like me, might need to devote some time in the mornings or evenings to work-related tasks or other responsibilities, it would've been nice if there had been more counter space and/or a bigger desk that could accommodate a laptop and paperwork.

It's great to find a triple room where the third person can also sleep on a real bed, not on a foldable sofa bed. Also the location is great, staff very friendly and helpful, the hotel is new and fresh, rooms very quiet, breakfast very nice and there were lots of small nice touches.

So much spam before and after the booking! I've gotten at least a dozen e-mails and even an SMS from the hotel wanting me to check in online, check out online, insert my data online, rate them online, then reminders to do all of this urgently, because the time is running out etc... Less pestering the clients, please, and maybe for this price don't ask the clients to do all the work for you. Coffee at breakfast was also rather horrible and the machine had problems 4 mornings in a row. The triple room had only one chair, so this wasn't really ideal. Also being able to open a window in the room would be lovely. But these are minor details, the overall stay was lovely.

Room size was large. Bathroom looked brand new. Location was great - 5 min walk from old street.

The only thing that was disappointing was at check in. As it was valentines, guests in front of us were given a complimentary glass of Prosecco. However, when it got to us, one of the staff members said to another to open another bottle to give us a glass but she did not bother. Instead she ignored the woman and went and stood at the check in desk despite there being no one behind us. We just left and went to our room instead as there it was awkward between them.

The amenities at the hotel were great. The pillows/bed were very comfortable. The room was more spacious than I thought and our view was very lovely. It was in a central location and easy access to the main street. They let us check in early and even though they had a machine to check in, the staff was very helpful and provided support. Overall, we liked our stay there.

The room was not necessarily super clean when we checked in, there was a lot of dust under the beds. We found an opened candy and a sock under our bed. There was construction outside of the hotel when we stayed there. Unfortunately, they worked very early in the morning and even though it was outside we could still hear them. Important to note that the construction happening outside was not from the hotel, but from the building next door.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel! When we first arrived, the night shift receptionist – possibly of Pakistani or Indian background (unfortunately I didn’t catch his name) – was extremely helpful and welcoming. He went above and beyond to assist us and even offered us a room upgrade. He was always available whenever we needed anything. The hotel itself is amazing in every way – from its location to the quality of service, they offer luggage storage services which saves us a lot of hassle.Honestly, if I had known it would be this great, I would’ve booked my entire stay in London here. Highly recommended!

The location is excellent, with good access to public transport and abundant options for dining in the vicinity. The bed was very comfortable and the housekeeping was excellent.

The hotel is clearly part of a trend of increasingly automated hotels-- check-in and check-out are online (although there are staff who are there to assist). And that's fine, but the technology can be made to work a bit more smoothly: in the online check-in process, we signed up for and paid for extra-late checkout (3pm) on the last day, but I still got an email on the last day inviting us to check out by 11. We ignored it, of course, but then when we returned from a late lunch to pack our things and check out, we were locked out of our room and had to get the assistance of the staff to get back in-- the "computer" apparently expected us to already be gone.

Weekend break for 2 couples. Hotel was perfect for our trip. Practically brand new, so everything was clean and fresh. It's lovely and welcoming, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful, even down to the chef who was friendly and chatty. On that subject, the breakfast was fab! A buffet with a great selection of hot and cold food, fruit, pastries, cheese, meats, anything you could want. Special mention for Jordan, who looked after us especially well after a small mix-up on our check-in. Lovely, very professional guy. We will definitely stay again with no hesitation!

We were given an upgraded room which was a lovely surprise. The room was spacious and had amazing views over Shoreditch and beyond. If we were booking this hotel again, I would want that room again !! It was just super. The breakfast was brilliant and filled us up for the day. We were 10 mins walk from Boxpark in the middle of Shoreditch, which was really good. Overall really happy with our stay here.

We loved the room we had but we did notice that there was a ticking sound all night long coming from the aircon even though we didn't have it on. It didn't bother us too mjuch as we are heavy sleepers but I could see it posing a problem for anyone who was a light sleeper.

Our deluxe double room was excellent. I suspect we might have been upgraded from the 'cosy deluxe double' as it was more spacious than I expected and had a fantastic view out from the 9th floor. Very comfortable and had everything we needed.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Staff seemed half asleep and disinterested. There was a good variety of options but the quality of the cooked breakfast was not great - tepid scrambled eggs and tasteless hash browns. Also hardly any of the cooked options were gluten free. I would definitely stay here again but would skip breakfast next time.
