The front of the property had a lovely county garden feel with lots of shrubs which smelt beautiful on arrival we were met by Cathy & Tim they made us feel so special on arrival. The attention to detail throughout the whole property was amazing, everywhere was spotless our room number 3 was so fresh and clean everything you needed was in the perfect place for us to enjoy the tea & coffee and biscuits were fantastic , this room had been well planned with lovely touches added. All furniture was top quality the bed was lovely and comfortable, the bathroom was immaculate , everywhere was fresh and clean everything we could ask for was there, we chose to have breakfast and this was freshly made in a lovely setting with soft music playing what a lovely way to start the day. what an amazing place we have found in Windermere. My wife and I drove back home to Wales and spoke about how lovely our stay was for most of way. we will definitely return to you lovely B&B. Thank you both for making our stay special xx
Having to leave, we should have booked longer

Great location just a very short walk to shopping area of Windermere and bus stops for public transport to the lake and other areas. Very clean and our room was light, airy and with plenty of room. Tim and Kathy the owners made sure we knew where everything was and that we could go to them if there was anything we needed.
While the beds were extremely comfortable to lie on, they were quite narrow. We had a twin set up and neither of us are large, but my husband was worried about falling out of bed and I actually did! We stayed at the beginning of August for 2 nights and while not particularly sunny, the temperatures were quite humid. The radiator in the bathroom was on and as it wasn’t a big room, it was very warm in there. We thought it might have been to help stop any condensation from the shower causing a problem, however there was an adequate window.

Tim and Cathy were the warmest hosts. Their home was cozy and clean, and our room was stocked with everything we could need. Even though we got late checking-in (we arrived at 11:30PM), Tim was very accommodating and stayed up late to welcome us! I was sure to keep him updated about our ETA, and it was super easy to get in touch with him. Tim and Cathy were so kind (and funny) and always chatted with us, giving us suggestions about what to see/where to go/what to eat. I am a big fan of the hosts, and cannot recommend Haisthorpe House enough. If you are going to Windamere, you have to stay here- the comfortable home, cheerful hosts, and perfect location will make your trip extra special.

Of all the lovely B&B’s I have stayed at, this is my favourite. The owners are delightful- welcoming, knowledgeable about the area, great communication and want to make sure that you are comfortable. The room was really clean and comfortable and had thoughtful added details to make sure that your stay is great… even down to the phone charging ports beside the bed. The location is central to everything. The train is a short walk away, as are buses to other tourist locations. Numerous restaurants are also a short walk away.
Nothing. My stay was 10 out of 10.

I stayed for two nights on solo travel and i really recommend this place if anyone is staying at Windermere. The room was very clean and nice, you have everything you need for the stay. The hosts were very nice and they helped me with my luggage before and after check in/out. The location is perfect, 5 minute walk from the main road and bus stop that takes you to other towns. I highly recommend this place.

The owners were super friendly and helpful. The place was also super clean and tidy. Nice and quiet at night time. Really close to the shops. Our room was super cosy and the bed was really comfy. Slept really well. Definitely come back here when we next visit Windermere.
Stairs were a smidge steep but very very very minor issue

Tom and Cathy were phenomenal hosts and very knowleadgeable about the area. The B&B is located within 10 minutes walking from both the station and the town center, and the room was lovely and immaculate. The breakfast was great as well and more than reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back!
Everything was honestly great.

Fantastic location, very clean, hosts were absolutely fantastic. Rarely say this but absolutely nothing to fault, a great friendly service from a couple who genuinely care about your stay and maintaining a high standard of service. We stayed in the small double which should be called the cosy double as it was absolutely fantastic. An EXTREMELY comfortable and cosy attic room which is slightly smaller than other rooms in the house but provided more than enough space for two people. We loved how comfortable and homely this room was with a modern bathroom. The bedroom decor provided a real warm/pleasant feel and lovely little window view. We were also astonished as the bed sheets were the softest sheets we had ever had out of any hotel/b&b. I feel this guest house is very underpriced and cant speak highly enough of my stay here.
Absolutely nothing 10/10 service . Will 100% be back without question and would recommending it to anyone.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming! They guided us where to go and what attractions to see in the very limited time that we had. The room was clean and very well maintained. We loved the interior as it felt very cosy and comforting. The bathroom was also really nice and clean.
It would have been nice to have breakfast available on the spot in the morning, as we weren't always able to pre-plan our breakfast the night before. The hosts required us to inform them if we were going to have breakfast the following day before 8pm. However, all in all, this wasn't a major issue/concern.

I booked Haisthorpe for my partner's 50th , we had room 3 the Superior King room on the 1st floor. It was very spacious and the bathroom was immaculate. We were shown where extra teas and coffees were available if needed and how the facilities in the room worked. The bed was super comfy. We even had an afternoon nap it was so relaxing. We love the location and it's only a short walk to Windermere amenities and bus services to get around the lakes. There is ample free parking around Holly Road. We managed a spot directly outside. A warm welcoming guest house which we will definitely re visit.
Nothing it was absolutely perfect .
