Location is fantastic. Within walking distance of all museums and attractions. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A lovely breakfast The building is 400 years old so there are some quirks, but it is a great experience and I am very happy I stayed there. It is only a small hotel and perhaps does not have the polish of larger ones but in many ways it exceeds them in the facilities available and the friendliness of the staff.

It is not a hotel for people with limited movement as there are stairs that are quite narrow. But this did not effect me and I was very comfortable there.

This property is right in the centre of the old town and not far from the Central Station, accessible by train from the airport. The hotel is gorgeous, our room was just beautiful, spacious, beautiful interiors, comfortable and warm in December with a walk in shower. The breakfast (downstairs in the cutest room) was lovely and different types of coffee were offered as well as the flask provided. The staff were so welcoming and very helpful. A memorable stay - and if we’re lucky to return one day (we have a huge bucket list) I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Simply stunning.

Nothing whatsoever

The location was excellent. Loved being in the old part of Stockholm. Breakfast was great (with ginger and lemon shots) in a quaint little cafe below our room. We looked forward each morning to talking with the darling sweet girl who served us. She was also very helpful and knowledgeable on any questions we had.

The room was dark with not much lighting. Bathroom was extremely small. Noice up to midnight. Stairs are somewhat of a challenge. These are the sacrifices you deal with renting within a historic hotel.

This is a beautiful historic hotel in the perfect location in Old Town Stockholm. Our room was large with its own bathroom and an extra sink and coffee pot in the room itself. There was also a safe, that we used, and a TV, that we never turned on. The bed was comfortable and we were never bothered by noise. The staircase is narrow and winding, but manageable. Since we are seniors, we requested and got a room on the first floor up. Breakfast was very good with meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, pastries, bread, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. They even had oat milk and gluten-free granola and flat bread for me. I also liked that pastries and coffee were available 24/7 in the breakfast room. The helpful and polite staff were on site 7-1. The location was perfect. We were only steps from restaurants and shops and the sites in the Old Town, like the Royal Palace, Stockholm Cathedral and the Nobel Prize Museum. The Central Station, where we caught the Arlanda Express to the airport, was a 16-minute walk. We loved taking the hop on hop off boat over to the Vasa Museum, the Nordic History Museum and Skansen. This hotel was the perfect home base to walk around Stockholm.

Everything was great! Pro tip: Don't get any cash from an ATM. Sweden is a cash-free country and you won't be able to spend it. We didn't know this, so we ended up exchanging our 1000 Swedish kroner for euros in Helsinki. We lost about 40% of the value in the exchange, but they would have been useless to us in the US.

Great location in Gamla Stan (the old town) and between 2 of the main streets for restaurants and shops. Hotel in old building (1607) with lots of character. Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.

The facilities need some replacement/refurbishment e.g. pillows & bedding, sink drains need clearing, towelrail electrics, cracked stairs etc. Due to the age of the property, the ensuite shower is very small with a nylon curtain around and really needs a redesign. Steep spiral staircase up to rooms making it unsuitable for anyone with poor mobility or bad knees/legs.

If you have been to a million dull hotels, pick this one. It’s like living in a museum, it has character, and I simply love the pragmatism and trust in how they manage access. Bed & bathroom adds fine comfort to the old but well-kept rooms, I slept like a child. The sound insulation between floors is 1600s style, so you might hear neighbours walking above you, but in a hotel this tiny people are considerate. Location perfect, but not if you have difficulties moving or bring lots of heavy luggage. When I come back I’ll stay here and laugh at Sheraton across the bridge, an over-priced mausoleum.

Nothing. Stay exactly like this, be original.

Very charming hotel in exceptionally good location. Within walking distance you can reach many points of interest like royal castle, heart of Gamla Stan, Riddarholmen, shopping areas, for all the rest you have an underground stop within 200 m. Very friendly staff - my friend has a gluten allergy, so for the next morning the nice lady from breakfast supplied her with gluten free bread and Muesli. The room was cozy and the beds very comfy. Bathroom: the shower being only secured with a curtain, I was afraid all would be completely wet after showering, but it worked out fine. All in all: no complaints.

As many before have written: the stairs are challenging, but hey, the house is from the 17th century, so what do you expect? Of course you hear some noise when you are in the middle of the Old Town, I slept well all the same. Only point of complaint: the bathroom door was somewhat difficult to close.

Right in the heart of Gamla Stan the old town. Walkable to many locations and the metro and ferry. The host was amazing. Very helpful and friendly. Nice for a chat. Very tasty and varied breakfast. The breakfast room can be used by guest throughout the day and there are drinks, fruit and pastries available. Waking up to the smell of bread and cake baking downstairs just wonderful. Just one thing to consider if you have mobility issues like me to ask for a room on the first floor. As this is an old building there is no lift and a winding staircase with old steps. I managed, but should have thought about this before. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable.

Nothing wrong at all.

Location is great: in the heart of Gamla Stan, metro stop is very near however you can easily walk everywhere as well. Room quite small, but super cosy, scandi style, minimalistic. Staff was lovely, very friendly and accomodating. Bonus was to be awoken every morning by the smell of freshly baked croissants! :)

Not exactly a minus, but breakfast could use a slight more variety as it's exactly the same every morning. Nonetheless, it was in fact traditional swedish breakfast as far as i'm aware and everything was delicious so we weren't disappointed or something.

The location was perfect! Just a few blocks away from the Royal Palace in Gamla Stan. The hotel was so quaint, and the history was amazing. The staff were so kind and helpful—they made us feel right at home, and even packed breakfast for us when we had to check out early!

The only minor inconveniences were that our room was a little chilly at night, and a full or queen size bed would have been preferable to two twins pushed together, but we were made aware of these things beforehand, so no surprise.
