Lovely quirky hotel right in the middle of the old town. The location was brilliant, and the staff was exceptional . Superior room beds were huge and very comfortable. It's a charming quirky hotel, so please understand before you book that it's very old and exactly the opposite to a modern chain hotel, but that's what's add value. Location is brilliant with loads of bars and restaurants at your doorstep. I thought it would be hot in the room without aircon, but they provided a fan in the room, which proved more than adequate.

No safe in room but they will keep your valuables in the safe in reception.

The hotel is a charming, old fashioned hotel, furnished with lots of old 'stuff'.We stayed in room 44, which is in the roof. It is a large room, with roof windows and blinds to cover them at night. The seating along the side of the room provided plenty of space to place baggage and clothes. The bathroom was clean and well equipped. The location is excellent if you want to be near the Old Town and also within walking distance of the CBD. Church bells ring regularly, but that adds to the charm, as far as we are concerned.

If you arrive after 11.00am, taxis can only drop you off at a corner nearby, since the street is closed to traffic at that time. This is not something that the hotel can control.

The front desk lady, Zara, was amazing! When we checked in, she spent a considerable amount of time recommending restaurants and places to visit in the Gamla Stan (old town) area of Stockholm. Gamla Stan is a great area to stay in; very historic and scenic. The breakfast buffet was also excellent and the staff really friendly. It was obvious that the owners of the property spent a great deal of time and effort decorating the hotel with interesting and well placed antiques throughout the property.

There is nothing to dislike about this hotel.

Such a little gem! Perfectly sited ,walking distance from the main station and lots of other public transport options very close. Right in the centre of the old town Gamlastan and very close to the Royal Palace. The staff are very helpful and friendly and being a small hotel there was a personal touch. The decor was quirky, but in a good way much of it related to Lady Hamilton, the mistress of Admiral Nelson but random other things like a group of old grandfather clocks on the third floor landing. The rooms had names as well as numbers which actual made it easier to remember particularly if like us, you are on a trip round Scandanavia with a different hote( and room number)l every day or two.

The location was excellent. Gamla Stan(Old town) is so charming. It’s situated right near the palace with excellent restaurants near by.

There’s not much about the property I didn’t like. Just be aware it’s an old hotel so no air conditioning but they provide fans in each room and windows do open. That being said, it can be a little noisy with windows open but quiets down by 11 pm. The breakfast was good. It wasn’t a big spread as some bigger hotels but the food was good with a quaint little dining area. We had Aperol spritz cocktails at the outdoor seating in front of the hotel and enjoyed watching all the people. Our room needed a little bit of attention with a spot where the paint was peeling on the crown mounding. Other than than that it was very nice.

Breakfast was excellent. For a true experience of walking around Gamla Stan, the location was excellent.

They said the room was small. It was very small; more like a cruise cabin w/ none of the storage build-ins that you would find on a ship. Probably best for one person for a short stay.

The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made our stay stress free. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options, and you can help yourself to tea or coffee at any time. The location was perfect, and it was very easy to travel to numerous sites with ease.

The only downside is if you have a front facing room, steet noise can be a little noisy at night. If you're a light sleeper, you might be disturbed throughout the night.

The Lady Hamilton Hotel is charming and the staff very welcoming and helpful, especially Erika, who arranged transportation for us. Antiques and art throughout added interest. Much like many downtown hotels, early morning city services conducted over cobblestone streets can be noisy, but the comfortable king size bed and cozy duvet provided a nice counterpoint. We enjoyed the ample tasty breakfast buffet in the lovely dining room before heading out to visit many places of interest close to or within reasonable proximity to the hotel.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome by the lovely person who greeted us. Her warm hospitality set the tone for the entire stay, and she gave us the best recommendations for dinner and things to do locally. The room itself was beautiful - spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with everything we needed for a perfect stay. The attention to detail throughout our time at the hotel was exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much - we highly recommend!

The staff were charming. There were really helpful and very kind- we didn’t feel like we didn’t have someone who couldn’t answer our questions. Everything was clean and accessible. We even had things like soap and shampoo/ shower gel in the room which isn’t always a given. The food was great because it gave us an opportunity to sample some Swedish things and Normal things we would eat. It was a wonderful location, fantastic value for where we were!

The only drawback was there were no tea/ coffee making facilities in our room so we needed to go downstairs for that to reception. It might help if there was even one on each floor! However, that might not be a fly in the ointment for everyone and it was great we could buy drinks like Coca Cola cans at reception.
