1. I had a very comfortable stay, in a well maintained and pleasing environment of restrained, traditional luxury (nothing flashy, but nothing missing), modernised to a standard which should be expected of such a prestigious establishment in such a special location. 2. I was treated with attention, courtesy and efficiency. A well-judged balance between “high touch” engagement and discreet distance (the latter professionally and gracefully observed by the team, evidently highly trained to observe, interpret and manage guest requirements in real time). 3. The hotel, in its physical and human dimensions, projects a sense of belonging, a family feeling, even to an occasional visitor (like me).

There was nothing I didn’t like. Two notes on what could be even better: - A grand swimming pool for a grand hotel. (I’m sure this has been considered, and that there have always been very good reasons why the current arrangements - which are a fine example of their type - are as they are). - ⁠While the service in the bar area was generally of a very high standard, I had a sense at times that the team, or perhaps just this or that individual member of it, was overstretched, leading to the occasional lapse in efficiency/ attention.

Grand Hôtel Stockholm is an architectural masterpiece, offering a prime location in the heart of the city with stunning waterfront views. The historic charm of the building, combined with modern touches, makes for a visually impressive stay. The hotel's spa is a true highlight, providing a luxurious retreat, and the dining experiences at Matbaren and the Seafood Gastro were exceptional, with high-quality ingredients and impeccable flavors. Its central location also made it easy to explore Stockholm’s main attractions, adding to the overall convenience.

The spa, while excellent, was located far from my room, requiring me to navigate through a crowded conference area, which diminished the sense of exclusivity. The service felt stiff and snooty at times, lacking warmth and personal attention. The elevators were slow and outdated, and despite the hotel's grandeur, the rooms felt small and quite basic for a property of this caliber. Additionally, the extra entry fee for spa access was extremely high, making it feel less like an included luxury and more like an upsell. Lastly, while the hotel claims to be cash-free, they still accepted cash in certain areas, leading to inconsistencies.

Beautiful room, location, and incredible view from the room.

I didn't like the fact that I requested to make a room romantic for an anniversary. The hotel responded that they would of course fix that free of charge. Upon arrival, there was nothing except a card and a small plate of fruit, which I appreciate, but I don't think that this made the room romantic. I would have rather had you respond that this wouldn't be possible or that I needed to pay extra because, in the end, the room wasn't prepared the way we wanted.

Seems that hotel staff has military training. Excellent service!

Excellent location right in the middle of Stockholm. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the whole place had a clean and elegant appearance. The rooms are big and nicely furnished; the beds are huge but the blankets/pillows could have been more comfortable (to each their own). The breakfast buffet had something for everybody, the quality of food and service was excellent.

We didn't know that using the spa costs extra. This is unusual and could have been communicated better in advance.

The pool is only for 16+ which was quite sad for my 11 year-old daughter I don’t understand why single children with their parents can’t use the spa.. I understand with groups of children. Especially considering the price of the hotel I found this quite a disappointment.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Great location! Staff are polite and respectful. Amazing breakfast!!! With a lot of choice! From the negative side only one thing - u must pay extra to go to SPA, which is completely weird to me, as the price of the hotel already isn’t cheap. I would rather go to my hotel gym when i m back home… i have an amazing SPA over there… so that’s weird!

We absolutely loved this hotel and would highly recommend it! It was fabulous. The breakfast was super with a lovely view. The best thing however was the buggy service which took us to our destination. The staff were so kind and extremely helpful.

Historical outside and inside but the room we stayed renovated with a modern architectural style that does not lose the feeling of the hotels soul coming with its age. Classy restaurants inside with unique view of the city and well prepared tasty menu. Hospitality that gives you the feeling everything is planned to make you feel at home and also you are on a vacation.

Great service, all the staff members we met were exceptionally service minded and helpful. We have been offered an upgrade to a room with the view for the same price. The view is amazing from the balcony to the palace and the parliament. An unexpected kind surprise when the room and bathroom were prepared to bedtime while we were out in the evening and came back late night.
