Location is fantastic, right on the main street of the historic district of Gamla Stan, yet surprisingly quiet in the evenings, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. It's also incredibly convenient for exploring other islands, all of which are within walking distance. The nautical theme throughout the hotel is super cute and fun, adding a unique touch to the ambiance. Staff was exceptionally nice, always ready to help with a smile. The rooms were spotless and if you want you can ask staff to clean your room during your stay. Overall, a wonderful stay.

We booked two Standard Single Rooms, however one room was significantly smaller than the other which was surprising since the cost was the same. The breakfast was very basic, would be nice to have the option of eggs in the morning too (however, it was good that there were vegan options for those interested). Not a fan of the two square pillows on the single bed, this made it a bit awkward to sleep.

I stayed in a standard single room in February. - The room is perfect for one person. It’s small, but laid out well. If I were sharing a room with another person, I’d want one of the bigger rooms here. - The bathrooms were great with heater floors. Good water pressure, always had hot water. - The naval theme of the hotel is fun and interesting, even if you’re not a big fan of ships. - Fantastic location on a street full of shops. You’re walking distance to all the big tourist things. - Despite the location, it was very quiet and peaceful inside. - Great breakfast that consisted of hard boiled egg, bread, turkey, cheese, veggies, yogurt, juices.

The room always felt a bit cold to me, but I always feel cold. Depending on how you like your room temperature, this may be a positive for you.

For someone who loves naval history, this charming hotel is so much fun - completely dedicated to maritime antiques, paintings, etc. You feel like you are on an old ship! The rooms are quite small (I stayed in a single and it was tiny!) but still comfortable, complete with a desk, TV, and bathroom. The breakfasts are good, though somewhat basic. I found the staff to be very kind and helpful. And the location can't be beat - shops and restaurants are right outside of your door, and then museums are within walking distance.

Just know that the rooms - at least single rooms - are quite small.

While there were no standout features, this hotel is a solid choice for travelers seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in Stockholm. Could not have had a better location- right in the main street in Gamla Stan. Loved the decor and the artifacts throughout the hotel. The library is a wonderful quiet place to relax and watch the people on the street below. Especially loved the environmentally conscious breakfast containers. The rooms were small, but cozy and well equipped with lighting, fans, a closet and TV. Breakfast was simple, with little variety from day to day, but allowed us to grab something quick to eat before exploring the beautiful city. A charming gem along the main pedestrian street!

We were so looking forward to the outdoor rooftop terrace but were told upon arrival it was under renovation. Ironically, we heard no evidence of construction in progress during our stay.

Great location in Gamla Stan, VERY close to the local Gamla Stan T-bana station. It was quiet and very easy to access, and the theme and layout was great. The theme of the hotel was nice too, and it felt very comfortable overall.

I wish there would have been a more affordable option for washing clothes. Instead I found a Tvättomat near the Odenplan T-bana station (like 15 mins to reach via 17/18/19 tåg, including walking time) which was 200kr (or €20).

Excellent location in the very center of the old town. Best value in the area. Very clean, very good breakfast (including hard boiled eggs!), the furnishings and the linens in my room were new and of high-quality and the bathroom floor had radiant heat! This super boutique hotel has awesome appeal and character, and has a common library room with a full glass wall overlooking one of the most appealing old town streets…plus, there is a rooftop deck which is mine boggling…Awesome!

Located in a very convenient place, a center of the old town. A walking distance to many sightseeing spots. The building and its facility is somethig unique, with some special atmosphere, interesting to stay. Room windows are openable, you can get fresh air. TV in the room supports a internet connection, you can enjoy Yutube or something.

I stayed at a single room, it was a bit too small. Breakfast was more less standard, which can have been a bit better.

First, I would like to mention that my review below is for Victory Hotel, part of collectors hotels along with Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, and not for our initial reservation for Hotel Nelson, as there were renivations going on during our stay. We were proposed to switch hotels and we definetely were happy about this. Attention to details - for example the temporary tatoos (free of charge), the ornamented corridors (like maritime museum). Also the rich breakfast - especially the salmon and herring, which is not typical for other parts of Europe. Special sweets for St. Valentine. Marvelous coffee. Everyone could prepare tea and coffee free of charge on each floor - useful for colder days. Also - the staff prepared a breakfast to go (fresh sandwiches and coffee) at 5.30 a.m., as we have to catch a flight. - Lication - of couse. 5 min walk from all the sites in Gamla Stan. No need to use public transport. Convinient to come back for small rest if needed.

A small incovinience was the check-in at 15.00, as we arrive earlier (12.00h), and unfortunately the room was not ready. I highlight that this was as announced on the site of the hotel and in the reservation - just no luck for the day of our arrival. The staff was very kind. We gave our luggage for safekeeping (free of charge).

The staff were super friendly and helpful! They let me check in half an hour earlier as the room was ready, they kept the luggage after the check out with no extra charge. The breakfast was simple but had everything in order to be completed(eggs, toast, yogurt, milk and cereal etc). The location was just great!! And it was very clean and comfortable. The single room was a bit small but it was okay! Also I loved the heating floors in the bathroom.
