Room size was good (we had executive and standard double rooms). Bed was a bit soft for me but I slept well. Service staff were excellent. Food was good with flexibility on special requirements. We only used the hotel as a base for visiting family so it served our purpose well. Nice looking restaurant/bar but we did not use as we had other plans. Live music on some nights.

Apparently there is a boot sale each Saturday which is very well attended. We were not affected as it got cancelled due to poor weather. However, we have heard it can cause severe disruption to access and parking at the hotel. We have not spoken with the hotel about this so they may have measures in place to minimise the impact. This is just a heads up for future guests not to be surprised.

Comfy beds, spacious room, private decked area as stayed in suite no 10. Separate room with chair bed and separate bathroom with shower and bath. Tea & coffee facilities. Staff all lovely and breakfast was delicious great selection. Staff really friendly and polite, nothing was too much. Daughter badly hurt herself and the team where quick to help with first aid kit, advice and nearest hospital locations. Daughter also left mobile phone behind staff very honest kept safe and contacted myself to arrange a collection. 100% would recommend again and no complaints here. Great work twin oaks you guys are great.

Lighting confusing switches upside down and some lights not working. Multiple switches would advise labelling. But it did not affect our stay or our comfort.

Easy to find and great location for our needs.Room decor was modern and the bed was massive and comfortable. Bar area was nice to relax in. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Evening meal was very nice.

Sound proofing could be better, hotel was not full but quite a bit of noise from neighbouring guests. Breakfast quality was definitely not up to the evening meal standard. For £12.95 I would expect something as good or better than the usual competition. Universal remote did not operate all functions on tv. All minor issues, I will return to this hotel if in the area.

The staff were amazing. It's a family run business and nothing was too much trouble. The food was beautiful, plenty of fresh vegetables and home cooked pie and gravy. I asked for chips instead of potatoes and again this was no problem. The bar/bistro area was lovely, perfect for catching up with friends who live locally. Bar prices are reasonable and the staff were very attentive. Bed was very comfortable, room was nice and airy, and the bathroom was perfect for our needs.

I blistered a finger picking up a breakfast plate, so a stack of napkins near the buffet would be helpful. We asked for an accessible room and were told that room 13 was at the end of a corridor with two steps to the room. My husband would normally use a wheelchair for that sort of distance due to his mobility needs, however, the corridor had steps and fire doors approximately every 5m, so he had to walk. We spoke to the staff on checkout and she agreed that next time we could use the fire escape as that would mean a shorter distance and less steps. These points are not to be seen as criticism, far from it, but more suggestions to make our next stay a little easier. We will absolutely be back and with a few tweaks could make our next stay 10/10

Excellent location just a couple of minutes from the motorway and other routes but very tranquil in our suite at the back overlooking fields. The hotel is cleverly designed and we had our own sitting room which was especially cosy for watching television on the wet evening we arrived. Very comfortable bed and everything looked well maintained and clean. If the rooms feel cold check the heater is on and set the thermostat to 25 then reduce the temperature when it's warm enough.

The bistro was cold as the door to the outside was open frequently for access to the smoking area. With a few exceptions, notably the lady who checked us in and was very helpful, the younger staff in particular appeared to be untrained in hospitality. This was very noticeable at mealtimes when we felt ignored until we asked for something. There is a buzzer system on the tables which indicates a shortage of staff! A hotel is only as good as its staff and this one appeared to be struggling to cope at the expense of the guests. Such a pity as we loved the stay otherwise.

The staff could not have been nicer. The catered for my dog who is very large and changed my room so he would be more comfortable. I expected to pay extra but they only charged me £15. Food was ok - regular pub grub. Would definitely stay there again if I was going up north.

Nothing everything was great maybe the bathroom floor could have been a little cleaner but rest of bathroom was great. Carpets could do with a wash as quite a few stains.

I have stayed here several times owing to family in the area. It is very handy, just off J29 of the M1, but very quiet and peaceful. I always request a ground floor room for my mother and this is always noted and received. The rooms are fairly small, but clean and functional, certainly for me all I need. We have eaten in the main restaurant jn the past and had fantastic food, my mother still talks about the steak. On this occasion as we were travelling to celebrate a birthday we did not have our evening meal at the hotel, but would definitely eat there again. All of the staff are friendly, helpful and personable.

The breakfast on this visit was definitely below previous experience and expectation. This is the first time we have served ourselves to a hot buffet. Previously we have been served food plated in the kitchen. I didn't think it looked particularly appetising. The sausages in particular had very thick skin and were dense and chewy, put me in mind of the kind of sausages served up abroad. The eggs were freshly fried and the bacon was ok, but overall for the price I found this offering disappointing. I'd be inclined to skip it next time and find alternatives. This does not detract however from the fantastic main restaurant which serves fresh cooked food to your table for lunch or dinner. I would still return to Twin Oaks

Great location easy to find off the M1 and within easy access to reach the local attractions of the area - All the staff were super helpful and always very cheery the restaurant served a good selection of traditional meals and breakfast was well worth the price and a great start to the day. Would certainly visit again as ideal for a few nights at a good VFM price.

When arriving at the property we were a bit taken back as it looks like a motel from outside, feeling a bit dubious we entered and how wrong were we. Amazing hotel, rooms were spotless and staff were all amazing and friendly. If you stay here you must try the food, omg it is delicious 😃 Would 100% recommend a stay here.

Staff are all amazing, very clean & modern interior. Dinner is amazing all home cooked.

Easy to find and as I am disabled it was great to be able to park right outside the door. Staff friendly and accommodating

Food served at both dinner and breakfast not the best and, only a small issue, but had to ask for clean cups and toilet paper to be refilled in the room on our second night and complimentary refreshments could have been better.
