The guest house was beautiful the quality of the room was amazing so clean and the bed was so comfortable the breakfast was heavenly Gwen and Lee are lovely caring hosts I cannot recommend it enough beautiful holiday

The house is located within walking distance of town centre, although uphill most of the way. It was attractively decorated, clean and comfortable. Proprietors Lee and Gwen were welcoming, helpful and efficient throughout our visit. We had a large three bed suite on the second floor which was very comfortable with a modern well equipped shower room.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like but the location and stairs might be a problem for anybody with more limited mobility. However, there is from memory at least one ground floor room and a bus stop just around the corner.

This is an incredible place to stay (and has dedicated parking at the front of the property) - Gwen and Lee are fantastic hosts. We had such a warm welcome on arrival (and they accommodated us arriving early), they were super helpful in suggesting places to go and general info about Whitby (it was our first time visiting). We were taken up to our room and shown the facilities (which were fab, great en suite, fridge in the room, toiletries, hair dryer all the things you need). The quality of the room, fixtures and fittings is amazing and the cleanliness was first class. Breakfast was superb, ordered the night before and ready as soon as you come down at your booking time (agreed the night before). The location is 5 mins (if that) to the seafront and 10 mins walk to Whitby centre where you find restaurants, cafes, boat trips, shops, arcades, museums and much more to suit all ages and interests.

If you like conversing with your host during your breakfast and having tables cleaned while you eat, this is the place for you. If you like peace & quiet, maybe it isn't. Very clean and comfortable room.

The price. I stayed 3 days. I realise demand kinda dictates prices, but £115/night when the same place offers 3 nights at a different time of year for £115 seems as steep as some of the local hills. If you know whitby, the hills are really steep.

The breakfast we were served everyday was perfect. We had a good selection to choose from ,everything was cooked perfectly and it was hot every day .Nothing was too much trouble even when we got the order wrong.

There was nothing that could have made our stay better apart from the lack of sunshine but Gwen & Lee can not do anything about or they probably would have. Everything was excellent from the hosts, to the room we stayed in and the perfect breakfast we were served everyday.

I liked everything about the property , owners were very friendly and helpful, couldn’t do enough for you , rooms were spotless , mirrors and plugs were in great position for two women sharing a room. Breakfast was amazing and all the little touches in the room like fresh water and milk in fridge on arrival and replaced when empty throughout our stay. Great location to explore Whitby 😊

The Crescent Lodge Guest House is THE best guest house I have ever been to. Gwen and Lee have put their heart, mind and soul into their business: our room was bright, spacious and extremely comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious made with fresh local ingredients, and there was free parking.The attention to cleanliness was also very reassuring.

No complaints from neither me nor my partner!

Having read the reviews, I was expecting a lot from the cooked breakfast and it didn't disappoint. It was delicious with only the best produce used. I would have liked to have bought some of their bacon and sausages to take home. As for the room, and bathroom, they were spotlessly clean and the bed was possibly the comfiest I have ever slept in. Plus, not always the case, there was free parking in one of the bays at the front of the property. The hosts, Gwen & Lee were most welcoming & friendly. Thank you, Crescent Lodge.

Nothing apart from the steep climb back uphill from the town centre (especially when you've got dodgy knees) but that's Whitby for you.

On our arrival we were greeted warmly by Gwen & Lee. We felt instantly welcomed, they informed us of directions to the town etc. We were then shown to our room. Wow such luxury & spotlessly clean. All our needs were catered for within. This made us feel very at home. Liked the idea of choosing breakfast daily. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend this beautiful guesthouse. Big thanks to Gwen & Lee .

Everything! Very clean, lovely hosts, every single want/need catered for, exceptional breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Felt very welcome. We had a great stay. Location is great only a short walk to the town centre. Beautiful. Thank you.
