Hotel Deutscher Hof is located right on the edge of Trier city centre. Therefore, Deutscher Hof Hotel is a perfect starting point for your city exploration, especially for pedestrians (Trier is a super-friendly place with perfect space balance for all - pedestrians, cyclists and drivers). All the monuments, restaurants and cafes are in a short walking distance. The main train station is 20-minute-of-sharp-walk far from the hotel. The public transport bus stations are both about one-minute away. Despite the fact it's just next to the one of the main city centre inner roads, the building with rooms is located in an inner courtayrd where there were no signs of traffic noise. The gas station with a limited offer of supermarket goods is just opposite the hotel. I was in a positive shock how professional, helpful and super-nice hotel staff was (special thanks goes to a young lady with glasses who was responsible for an evening shift on January 29, 2025). The room was clean, the cleaning service great. The Single Room Comfort option contained the electric kettle with an instant coffee and some teas, the hairdryer, the small vault and the modest ironing facilities, which I found very helpful. The laundry service might be also provided on demand (no personal experience under my belt). My satisfaction was at such level that I decided to buy one more night in this hotel.

The walls between the rooms are slightly thin. Despite the fact the other guests were quiet ones, I heard them talking in their room. I was able to hear some traffic in the floor hall too. The hotel is a calm place to be, but if you are a light sleeper, be aware of this fact.

Comfortable room and could keep an eye on car below. Can keep car in car park for the day after check out. Breakfast good. No restaurant but lots of places in the city, an easy walk in. Very convenient location. Room at the back very quiet. Kettle, tea, coffee, creamer etc.

We were allocated a larger room but it was only set up for one person so we had to ask for bedding and towels. The barrier did not raise when we left but reception fixed it.

The location was excellent and easily reachable by public transport. The city center is a 7-minute walk from the hotel. The single room and the bed were somewhat smaller than I expected. Also, the room was towards the back of the building, and opening the window, the view was partially blocked by the side wall. It was okay considering a stay of 2 days and the price.

Very friendly staff. Good location. Parking at the hotel for 10 Euros a night seems fair. Our family suite was very spacious and clean. It had everything we needed for our 2 nights stay. The kids said their sofa-bed was comfortable. We loved the huge bathtub with starry sky. Shower with excellent water pressure. Breakfast was quite ok.

The orange juice at breakfast had not much to do with actual juice.

In my opinion, this hotel is one of the best value for money options in Trier. 24-hour reception, open + underground parkings (as far as I remember they charged me 10 euro per night), good breakfast, very clean rooms, vending machines by reception where you can get nice local wines, beer and water, very professional and friendly staff. There is also a sauna in the main building. 8-10 minutes by car to the highway. Good and stable wifi.

Perfect location, only minutes away from the town centre with its sights, restaurants, pubs, and shops. The hotel is very clean with friendly staff and modern, pleasant facilities. Outdoor parking or a spacious, bright garage are both available against an extra fee. You can buy soft drinks, beer or local wine at the reception desk. An extensive breakfast buffet allows for a perfect start into the day.

The following is a suggestion rather than a negative point: There is a local newspaper available free of charge in the breakfast room. That's a great service, which could be even better if you added a paper in English/French for your international guests.

Hotel is comfortable. We really appreciated two proper, comfortable chairs in the room - in many hotels you only get one. Breakfast is great; the coffee in the flasks is better than that from the machine and don't miss the hotels own muesli and the honey from their own bees Staff were very friendly and helpful in answering our queries about using the local buses and potentially using a different train station.

The night where a bunch of football fans were "loudly commenting" on the match in the car park until after midnight. The night manager managed to persuade them to quieten down (thank you very much). The loss of the restaurant - we really enjoyed our meals there on previous visits; the microwaveable meals in the breakfast room are not so attractive.

I really liked that upon arrival at the hotel, the reception informed about the events in the city! It was a wine event! We had a very wonderful evening at the wine event! I never knew so much information about wine! Many thanks to the gentleman who worked at the reception for such detailed information!

It is a pity that there were two blankets instead of one :)! But maybe your standards are different :)! But the bed itself is very comfortable and the sleeping pillows were both small and large. It's amazing!

A superb, warm welcome to the hotel after a very short but torrential walk from the station. Lovely soft beds and immaculately clean facilities. Fantastic range of snacks and drinks for purchase including options to microwave locally cooked meals. There’s also an incentive for guests who would like to reduce their room cleaning for environmental reasons. Breakfast buffet provided a real range of options in a lovely setting.

Unfortunately, having opted to conserve energy by not using the air conditioning and opening the window, there was the sound of some kind of generator or fan outside the window. However, this hotel is smack bang in the middle of the most convenient location for the city centre. Some noise is to be expected!

Veey good beds and spacious room (we had the larger option). 24hr desk service and 5 min walk into the centre and the museums.

Nothing, maybe the lack of electric car charger.( should be an option to select as a booking filter!) But there is a charger across from the hotel.
