Room was a bit small and outdated but ok. The staff was most friendly and the location is truly great

We read great things about breakfast but maybe due to high expectations it was disappointing to us. Slow table placement. Weird routing of buffet, no good coffee. View is nice though…

The location was excellent and easy to get to from the shinkansen. Room was as booked, 3 separate beds for my group. It was very clean and cleaning is everyday. Check in machine struggled to scan my passport but the staff were very patient and helped me work out the issues.

The building is showing its age in some aspects: single glazing, dated bathroom. The room was small and was difficult to organise out luggage and avoid tripping over it, for the price we paid it's not entirely a bad thing, just something to consider if you are staying over for longer than a couple of nights and in a bigger group. A/c is very strong, I believe the temperature was not showing correctly as it was very very cold during the night.

This was by far our favourite hotel in our entire stay in Japan. We travelled across the country and have stayed in many hotels in different cities, but this by far exceeded all expectations. The hotel is immaculate, feels like a 5* hotel, it's hard to believe we only paid £50 a night for it. The staff were very helpful too and always on hand to help. Our room was on the 20th floor, the highest up we'd ever stayed in a hotel. But the view from our room was incredible. We were able to see all of Hiroshima city and out towards the islands of Miyajima. At night time particularly, it was a real sight I'll never forget. The hotel also offers a lounge/bar facility at the top, which also boasts amazing 360 views (as the glass spans the whole floor), as well as hourly benefits such as a happy hour, complimentary wine and biscuits at another time, etc. It's a great space to relax and take in the views before going out, or going to bed. You are only a 10 min walk from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome, which are must visits if you are in Hiroshima. Once you have paid your respects and learnt the history of those events, you're also surrounded by modern bars and a bustling atmosphere. There's lots of great food spots including the famous Okonomimura within walking distance too, we had such a brilliant time exploring some hidden food and drink spots and meeting some very lively locals in nearby bars!

There's not a single thing to fault. 10/10 recommend staying here and would love to stay again!

I used self check-in machine but the staff still came to help. Love the guest lounge on the 25/F, they provide free tea, alcoholic drinks & snacks and you can enjoy the pretty city view there. I have a nice view in my room as well. Location is perfect! Walkable distance to the attractions. Bus stops and tram stops are close to the hotel. Also close to department store, Donki, and 7-11 is right opposite to the hotel.

Conditioner provided is not very good. My hair wasn't very smooth after using that. Room is small, but I am ok with that because I don't have many luggages.

The location was perfect. The rooftop lounge is also a really good bonus. Supermarket was around the corner.

The washing machines and dryers took forever and the elevators weren’t as efficient as they could have been and often you had to wait a long time because everybody either went to the 1st or the 25th floor. It took me over 3.5 hours in total to do the laundry and use the dryer. If you wanted to use the ice machine and it wasn’t on your floor you often had to wait again for the elevator for a while before you were back to your room with the ice. I had not experienced this long wait for an elevator in an hotel before. The room was also very small, but that was our own fault as we didn’t realise it was only 15sm2.

Hotel was conveniently located in the central area of Hiroshima. I caught the loop bus to get there which seemed to be the quickest way from the station. If you have a lot of luggage you would be better off using a taxi. Hotel looked well presented, check-in was efficient and my room was a good size with a nice view of the city. There was an amenity bar in the lobby where you could get supplies you may have forgotten. There was a lounge on the top floor that was open during the day for complimentary coffee, snacks etc. Breakfast was really good with a nice mix of Japanese and Western options including some Hiroshima local specialties. The staff were friendly and efficient and helped me arrange luggage delivery to my next hotel. A short walk away from the hotel is the bus stop, streetcar, and the hotel is within walking distance of tourist sites and the shopping district. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to a visitor to the city.

There was some noise from the adjacent rooms and corridor - sound-proofing wasn't amazing. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow but generally worked mostly OK.

1. An extremely comfortable and hospitable hotel with efficient frontdesk, housekeeping and restaurant staff. 2. Their 25th floor lounge cum restaurant cum breakfast room came out as a star attraction for me. This spacious, bubbling with guests, yet quiet place offers grand view of the city skyline (right till the harbour) - through its sofas and chairs in front of large glass windows. 3. With complimentary tea, coffee, cookies here anytime over the day; and wine, dry snacks in evening happy hours, I could plan my sight-seeing over two days. 4. Well planned and served breakfast - good combination of Continental/ American and Japanese items in the buffet menu. Noticed reasonable range of selections but no wastefulness. 5. Proximity (just 12 minutes easy paced walk) to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park & Museum, raison d'etre for most tourist to the city, makes this hotel an excellent choice. 6. A service lane opposite the hotel and bus stop on main road closeby are helpful too.

Great hotel in the heart of Hiroshima. Amazing price for what you get, service was excellent. Young woman on the front desk was very polite and spoke good English. Location is perfect, short ten minute walk from the main tourist attractions and nightlife. Room itself was large, bed was comfortable and you are in a quiet location for a good night's sleep. Very clean, and room service was exceptional. Would definitely recommend when staying in Hiroshima, especially for the price.

Bathroom is a bit dated, but for the price you are paying it really is no big deal.

The first impression was of a nice, well maintained Hotel. The girl that helped us check-in was extremely friendly along with the other staff. The room was of a decent size and was well equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The best part was the lounge slash breakfast space on the top floor. We really enjoyed going up there in the evening and enjoy a beverage while looking at the night skyline. The same area featured a nicely stacked breakfast buffet in the morning with good tasting food and a broad selection of items. I will lookup the Mitsui Garden Hotel again if I have a chance to go back to lovely Hiroshima.

Checkin went very smoothly, I accidentally booked for only 1 person but it was all resolved! I had to pay an additional ~7K JPY for two nights + breakfast. It was also raining, and the hotel offered free umbrella rental which was great. The rooms were nice and tidy with GREAT views. There were free coffee and tea + snacks during the day, and there were also a lot of options for the breakfast buffet. That said, you really can't beat the location. It was within walking distance to everywhere you need to go within Hiroshima. If you are planning to go to Miyajima Island though, it is quite the trip to go to the JR ferry terminal (~1hr) so keep that in mind.

The bathroom is a bit outdated and relatively small, but everything works fine and clean.
