I asked for a room up on the 4th floor and on the north side of the building so that I was far away from the noise of the night clubs and the street and it was perfect! I had a sea view! Staff at reception (especially Susan - forgive me if I got the name wrong) were always nice to me and I felt comfortable to ask them if I needed anything. I used this hotel whilst being between places to live and they were so patient with me extending my stay day by day. They deal with a lot here, as it's a budget hotel, and I congratulate them on the job they do. Thanks for helping me as I found somewhere to live!

For me, it was perfect, but some might find the toilet a bit of a tight fit to sit on! I was in rooms 424 and 426.

Stayed here many times, the lady on reception is always so very pleasant and always asks what our plans are and wishes us a good stay, location is perfect for a wander into town and for the bars we enjoy going to. We asked for a room at the front because we tend to be overlooking the late bars and struggle to sleep and we were given a good size room at the front side of the hotel without any hesitation. We will always choose to stay here.

Mirrors in room sometimes are not placed where they should be and have to move furniture to be able to get ready, some windows do not open and others don't always stay open and slide shut.

Good value for money, had a little refurb wall paper looked fresh and modern nice big spacious room with a nice view of the big clock, clean and comfortable, staff Wer really lovely to upgrade us to two big family rooms next door to each other as was staying with kids and family, she put us in a nice quiet part of the hotel, breakfast an a coffee in the morning

The red lights on one of the floors on corridor of hotel, very eerie and scary looking 🥴.. reminds me out of the film the shining 😂..my baby son got scared need to update them to nice bright modern ones ☺️

We loved the location as it is central to all needs . I read other reviews on this site and to be fair it is dated but clean and comfy . Yes there's loud music which only troubled us on the last night , we closed the windows and was fine . Warm rooms but fans were in the room so everything you needed was at hand . We loved our stay and would definitely go back again .

Think could do with a bit more family orientated entertainment, saying that entrainment was good .Wendy and Spencer were great .

Bed fairly comfortable. A four poster Nice view from the window. Staff very nice and helpful. Lounge area nice but very quiet.

Not organised for breakfast due to low numbers in hotel. I had cereal and toast with marmalade. My husband was made some scrambled egg on toast. Tea and juice. Bath with shower over not able to use. Room had very old curtains not easy to close ...that had a lot of dust at the top and along the skirting boards. Also, lampshades had lots of dust. I have asthma and felt this room was not as fresh as should have been . It needs a good hoovering to get rid of dust and cobwebs over the curtains and the bathroom door. Obviously in need of renovating the whole building and this has big costs . I am sure if we come again in a few years it will be more updated. We did an upgrade room and breakfast..... so felt it should have been better.

Scarisbrick is a lovely hotel, well decorated, spacious and with friendly staff. We stopped on the 4th floor in a family room, had everything we need. Breakfast was nice and had a wide variety. I was very impressed and would stay again. No real issues at all

The pillow was hard, but that's just my personal preference. Wish we could have opened windows properly (top floor, and being 32 degrees it got really hot, but appreciate the fans provided) Tv had no signal....but didn't need it.

Excellent location, clise to the seafront abd shops pet friendly, comfortable, clean room, and friendly helpful staff. Discounts given on evening meal and breakfast on check-in. The buffet style evening meal was very good and the all you can eat buffet breakfast was extremely good. Parking was available at no extra charge. There was some noise from local bars, but it was Saturday night. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend earplugs. We will certainly stay here again on our next visit.

Loved everythin except it was to hot in the room it was that hot we opened the windows and they wouldn't stay open at all as they were keep dropping down shutting . It was a great atmosphere day and night until we couldn't sleep because of the music from the bars. The staff are brilliant and always have a smile on there faces ect and always a great welcome and there to help you to .

The room was to hot and it was no air at all . Couldn't sleep at all because of the music going on from bars until stupid o'clock in the morning so didn't have much sleep Friday and Saturday night. And no cash at all could only pay on card, even the bars so wasn't many in them they only had a few customers in them between the two bars it must 10 or 15 customers if that. And that will be because of the payment as you got to pay on card . and most probably a lot people found some where else to go to have a drink. The bars in hotel wasn't as busy as they normally are and that will be because of card payment only. Mist probably alot of people will have the issues about card payments especially when you get money out of bank to spend .

Here goes. This place was clean, welcoming and pleasant with a decent comfy room where I got a hot shower and a good night's sleep. An old Southport institution, there are efforts slowly grinding forward to return it to its former glory. The staff were all very nice and helpful indeed. There is a nice lounge with a view of Southport's Lord Street and a hunting-lodge themed bar I found pleasant and welcoming, I admit the themed Irish bar looked a little tacky snd out of place but I didn't hang out there. I had a decent meal which was equivalent in quality to one of the better Wetherspoons or Toby Carvery type places. I will be pleased to come back here - just see my comments below, which mostly are NOT criticism. Again the staff were top notch and so helpful and one made it possible for my wife and I to have a drink on our anniversary which was so welcome and thoughtful

OK this place does have a slight hint of Fawlty Towers about it, but much of it is undeserved or misunderstood. An ambitious renovation plan had already started. Some things (like the electronic door key cards, which often fail) haven't been addressed so I think some staff have kind of accepted it with a sort of exasperation and resignation. I asked for extra pillows, I received them, I asked help, received it, I loved my free upgraded room on our second night The particular liked the lady manager. Long blonde hair. Slim very attractive Very good manager. Very good personality and mostly able to direct, She was wonderful AS IS ALL YOUR STAFF.
