Wonderful staff at Veliki Garni hotel.They are friendly and well organized.Hotel is very clean.Loved that hotel had a restaurant within the property.Amazing food and we loved that breakfast was included with our stay.

We have nothing negative to say.We had a wonderful and positive experiences during our stay there.

The location is in the city center of Novi Sad, and is about 25 minutes walk from the bus/train station. The main entrance of the hotel is at the backstreet but well designated. However, it is a long way to Petrovaradin Fortress, but you can take the bus. I walk all the time which was the easy way to say all the sights. Friendly staff, the normal check-in time was at 2:00 pm but I arrived early and they gave me my room without extra charge. The standard rooms were small, which was adequate for single occupancy. In room you have a coffee maker, minibar and free wifi. The wifi connection works pretty well without interruptions and fast for downloading photos. The bathroom is somehow too small which has toiletries and good warm showers. Breakfast was included in the room price and served in buffet style starts from 8:00 to 10:00 at their restaurant. By the way, the hotel is equipped with restaurant but hasn’t eat there. For the room price this hotel was genuinely worth it. And besides, they provide drinkable water if you have empty bottle you can refilled.

No elevator, but this was for me not a problem because I’m a light traveler with a small backpack but for people with suitcases this can be annoying.

The hotel has a great location, as its in the centre there are lots of shops and restaurants near by. The hotel also has a restaurant that provided a buffet breakfast which is included in the price. The room was clean and a good size and I enjoyed staying there.

That I was unable to stay longer but I would stay at the hotel again.

The staff were very prompt at replying to my messages before my stay. The taxi drivers they hired to drive us to and from the airport were both excellent.

Sadly there is no longer a buffet for breakfast. The options were a bit limited.

Veliki hotel is downtown, a few meters from the city center. It is decent, quiet, and the breakfast is very good, with an emphasis on local products. It is also clean and the receptionist was very helpful and polite.

They could avoid charging for espresso coffee at breakfast, it is bad for the very hospitable image of the hotel, and I guess the hotel would flourish also without the few additional dinars. The breakfast is from 8 to 10 only, and they won't bring you even coffee if you happen to be 10 minutes earlier than 8.

Location is very good - very close to the heart of the city center. Breakfast is very good for such small hotels. My room was on the last floor and I had a beautiful view outside!

Something was wrong in the shower. I was able to use it but was very careful. Cannot set highest rate because of this. Please notice that there is no lift there. You have to go up stairs by feet. It is an old building - just be sure that it is OK for your.

Staff were great, the room was a good size, comfortable, and well appointed for the price point. Having a good cafe/restaurant on hand was fantastic, and the food was very good, in quality, variety and pricing. Great to have local specialities available with good English explanations too.The restaurant/bar is used by locals as well as guests so it's a genuine local vibe. As a non Serbian speaker, it was extremely convenient that everyone was comfortable speaking English to me. The reception and waiting staff were equally.welcoming and helpful. Being in the heart of the old town was very convenient. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again it and to recommend it!

Only minor point is that the hearty breakfast buffet is available from 8 - I'm an early riser so would normally try to eat at about 7-7:30. Note also that Smoking is still possible in Serbian restaurants and though it never got excessive enough to bother me, it is something you might consider.

- Lack of outlets to charge electronics. We needed to move beds and unplug lamps in order to charge phones - Shower door could not close fully, so after a shower the floor of the bathroom was soaked from escaping water

The location was great! It was close to the city center. The room was clean and neat.

I was expecting an iron in the room and some shampoo/conditioner, but it was not provided.

The breakfast was nice, it was a kind of English breakfast. By the way, the hotel "Veliki Cafe Restaurant" is one of the sightseeing point the list of Novi Sad to visit - so, it is right in your hotel on each breakfast! In spite of the fact that it is right in the heart of the Novi Sad - the place is very quiet even in my staying that included New Year night - presumably- one of the most noisy night in the year. The location is perfect, and easy to spot out. It is just a 20 min walk (including just two turns) from the bus station. All the sightseeing also are around in 20 min walking distance. I've stayed there for three nights including New Year. Everything is impressive including New Year celebrating,- the hotel and the city - so, my advice, if it happens for you to be in Novi Sad - go to this hotel - it might be a right choice.

Showroom facilities might be a bit upgraded, but presumably it is scheduled already. My advice is that it could be a right place to stay in Novi Sad.
