What a stunning location, just far enough away from the hub Bub of central Cape Town. The staff were super friendly and couldn't do enough. Breakfast was delicious, the muesli was particularly good. The pool is tiny, just enough to cool off after a long day in the sun. We walked a lot but it is up hill on the way back, Ubers are super cheap and arrived really quickly. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return. It's an amazing view of Table Mountain from your deck chair.
Nothing, we loved it all

Simply loved it – the house, the staff, the room, the view, the breakfast, everything was exceptional! It is located in a safe residential area close to good restaurants and a corner store. But if you'd like a casual glass of great South African wine in the evening, they got you covered. I went to Cape Town for a conference but because of this wonderful guest house and the most friendly staff made my stay feel like a mini vacation. I really didn't want to leave and will definitely come back.

We loved our stay at Rosedene Guest House. The staff were all so helpful and pleasant - Lungi, at the front desk during the day, was just the best (and has the sweetest smile) and Deidre was very easy to work with. They kindly added a single bed into our room when my husband got a stomach virus - it was quite comfortable and the room (ours was on the back side of the building) was large enough to accommodate it easily. The staff was so kind and checked on my husband frequently the day that the rest of us were away on a tour. They treated us like family. The guest house is close enough to restaurants that you can walk to them - but far enough from the very busy part of Kloof Street that we didn't have to deal with traffic and noise. It was a very quiet neighborhood. The view of Table Mountain was lovely, and the beautiful patio - open during the day and closed in with sliding glass walls in the chilly evenings - made a great spot for a glass of wine, playing cards, and for having the pizza that we brought in one evening. The staff was so very accommodating, whatever we decided to do.

Rosedene is in a fantastic location and a very vibrant suburb full of great restaurants and coffee shops. The welcome from Deidre was lovely, and she made us feel very welcome and was extremely helpful. The guesthouse is beautiful, and the breakfast is wow! Plentiful, varied, and delicious. The complimentary drink at 6 pm is a nice touch. Stunning views of the mountain. We felt very safe in this neighbourhood, and it's close to everything but away from the hustle and bustle.

It's a quiet location next to the vibrant and full of restaurants on Kloof Street. Go to the Kloof Street House restaurant & bar located in a Victorian-style house. Make a booking earlier (trust me, you'll need it). The Table Mountain's cable car is a 7-minute ride from the guest house. It's 10 min ride to the V&A Waterfront. The guest house features a small open pool and spacious sitting areas for all guests. It's nicely decorated with local art. The Deluxe studio is very spacious and has all you need for a good stay.
Drivers struggle to find the location and then cancel rides. The small and subtle sign on the crossroad is easily overlooked. If possible, please add a bigger sign directing to the guest house.

Our stay at Rosedene Guest House was extraordinary. Located near Kloofstreet, this charming accommodation offers breathtaking views of Table Mountain and Lions Head. The swimming pool provided a refreshing oasis within of Cape Town. The personalized breakfast experience was a standout feature as we were being asked how we preferred our eggs and what we would like to eat with it. The old-world elegance of the house extended to its common rooms, boasting cozy seating and a self-service bar. The interior is incredibly stylish and also displays beautiful art from local artists. Deirdre, the hostess, was an absolute gem. Her warmth and genuine care were evident in every interaction. Her recommendations for local activities and dining were spot-on. Her dedication to ensuring our comfort truly made us feel at home. Thanks very much to Deirdre and her team for creating such an unforgettable experience.

The property is beautiful. The furnishings throughout the property and in the comfortable lounge are lovely. The bedroom looking out at table Mountain was a nice size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was fine. The breakfast choices were varied and very tasty.
It would be nice to have a few more bathroom amenities. The lighting in the bedroom was kind of dim.

Since we stayed here, we call this place our home away from home in Cape Town. Every single detail at this place is amazing: 1. The location is second to none… Rosedene is perfectly located on a sandwich between the glorious Table Mountain and the beautiful Lion’s Head. From all the windows and patios you will see the absolutely magnificent views of both mountains, which is super handy as you wake up in the morning, check the window and see if the mountain is clear or not to go and explore it. 2. The house is beautiful as well as the room (we got #7). We had plenty of space, great AC, great bathroom and then the endless views of Table Mountain! The mattress, pillows and linen were spot on. Everything was clean 3. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and the kitchen and service staff were lovely and helpful! 3. The best part? The amazing people that works here. Izle welcomed us and gave us the greatest tips to enjoy our 6 days in Cape Town (even recommended us to get in touch with a professional Mountain Guide called Santie for AMAZING hiking trips around the mountains… we highly recommend you do as well!). Deirdre took over at the reception for the rest of our stay and she treated us with so much kindness and sweetness. The Captain and his wife, all so kind and welcoming. Finally, we know Cape Town and surrounding bays/areas have great restaurantes, but, if one day after exploring the mountains, you feel tired and in need of great food, there are amazing cafes and restaurants near by. One is Bacini’s (finger licking Italian food!), and then for a healthy/refreshing lunch you have Nourish’d. You also have a mini-mart close by in case you need to buy snacks for your trekking/exploring. Rosedene is an amazing place to stay while in Cape Town, so close to everything, so convenient and so comfortable. They even have their own parking lot. Thank you all for making us feel at home!

The location of Rosedene was amazing. It’s on upper Kloof street so it’s away from the noise of the surrounding restaurants and bars but close enough to walk to them! We felt very safe in this location. Our room was in the second floor with a view of the city of Cape Town out the front window and table mountain from the side. We could watch the sunrise over table mountain from our bed! Also, the free breakfast was incredible! A mix of meats and cheeses, and fresh fruit. As well as, a hot breakfast. My husband and I got the omelettes everyday because they were incredible.
