I didn’t like the segregation of staff. I didn’t think it was coincidental that all the best roles and management positions were held by white staff only. I was expecting more integration in Capetown and I think it needs to start in the businesses and hotels.

The Winchester is centrally located in seapoint and a traditional place where locals celebrate special occasions. from the terrace one can see beautiful sunsets or the para gliders landing in the morning whilst having breakfast. it also has a very nice court yard where to dine including breakfast. the pool area is not huge but nice with comfortable sun beds. the spa is nice and the gym despite being small had an ok equipment.

Hotel was renovated in 2021 however the room interior (except bed, chairs and bath) seem a bit outdated and the picture etc does not show attention to details or is not fitting. Service at breakfast is slow. The road which separates the Hotel from the seapoint promenade can be noisy.

Very nice location and a beautiful hotel. The staff at the reception and security are very nice and friendly. My wife also enjoyed the spa a lot. We stayed at the hotel on Valentine's Day and the restaurant was fully booked. We did not have a reservation but the hotel staff found us a nice table anyway. The hotel also has an excellent breakfast.

One of the reasons we selected the hotel was that it had parking available. When we arrived we learned that the hotel has very few available spaces and that it was full. We had to park our car on the street during our first night. The friendly people at reception did ensure we could park our car during the second night. This is not a complaint, just make sure you call the hotel and reserve your parking spot!

The Hotel was very comfortable with a great open Atrium to wine and dine. Food was very good. Our room was very spacious and clean and quiet despite facing the Atrium. The location was great, right on the Beach road and a walk into the Waterfront is easy ( ~40min ). The Hop on Hop of bus stop is across the road and the circuit takes you into V&A Waterfront and then on to the Table Mountain cable car lower station then circuits back. So a good option to get around. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

We were dealt with promptly and with courtesy, we arrived before check in time but one room was ready so all our luggage was transferred to this room while we had lunch in the courtyard . My husband required a mobility scooter whilst we were there. The reception staff looked after the scooter for us with great good humour and we're always helpful when we retrieved it. All the staff were helpful, friendly and professional. The courtyard was beautiful with cascading bougainvillea. All in all a .overly stay

The location is on the promenade in Sea point with some awesome views as you have a delicious breakfast on the patio watching the paragliders land on the lawns in front of the hotel. The rooms are beyond comfort with all the necessary amenities and pampering required when you spend time away from home... Highly recommended!!!

I was not informed about the extra parking charge when I booked in and refused to pay this when I left after speaking with the manager... which I thought was ridiculous considering the price I paid for the accommodation. A far as I am aware worldwide hotel parking for guests forms part of the package and should in any event not be an extra.

Beautiful sea view and excellent location. Comfortable and bright room tidied twice a day. Exceedingly helpful and available staff in all areas. Phoned me to tell me I had left some items in the room soon after checkout so I could return to collect them.

Menu at Shoreditch was a bit limited. Hot breakfast menu had unusual items but possibly a bit too many spicy ones - simple more common options could also be offered (although, no doubt, available if one asked). Caution needed in the shower - no grab handles for the elderly!

I suggested my brother and sister in law, visiting from the USA, stay at the Winchester. It’s a grand dame, but not ostentatious. Very well situated, enjoyed a morning walk on the promenade. Easy access to where they wanted to visit. I have had breakfasts and teas with you, never stayed, it was a real treat, thank you

Cape Town was the busiest I have ever experienced it today! Nothing to do with hotel… it was crazy! Got that off my chest!

I had a wonderful stay at a beautifully sea view room that exceeded my expectations in every way. The apartment was spacious, stylishly decorated, and offered stunning views of the sea that made waking up each morning a pleasure. The location was perfect, with easy access to the beach and local attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The restaurant was a highlight, serving a delicious breakfast with a variety of options to suit every taste. It was the perfect blend of relaxation and luxury, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable seaside escape.

The pillows on the bed are too large and too puffy. They look amazing on the bed but we didn't find them comfortable to sleep on. On request we were given smaller standard pillows. I would make sure to book a room a couple of floors up as we found our room on the ground floor noisy during the day because of the courtyard restaurant which is lovely but very busy during the day.
