The place is very nice, clean,easy to check in and closer to all the facilities! It’s a walking distance from the sea, waterfront mall is also not far from the guesthouse and there many shops and restaurants around🥰…. I also loved the fact that it’s a self catering we were able to prepare our own meals! The host Jeanette was so friendly and welcoming, she made sure that all our needs were met, she even recommended some activities to do around Capetown!!!!I’m definitely coming back, and this time around it will be for 2 weeks, I feel 5 nights wasn’t enough😂😂

This guesthouse is like a home away from home. Great location, ocean views, beautiful sunsets, very comfortable with a lovely homely atmosphere. The owner is so welcoming, friendly and kind. I highly recommend Leeuwenzee for your stay in Cape Town.

The highlight was the staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly at every moment. There is someone at the front desk 24/7 -- it made me feel safe and taken care of. On top of that, the location is fantastic. It's walking distance to coffee shops and the promenade; and catching a taxi into town is very easy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My room was closest to the reception and I did hear some noise during the night. Nothing too bothersome however.

Wonderful guest house with such friendly staff, our room wad lovely nice and quiet on the side with a lovely balcony, we used it a lot to sit out for our cuppa in the morning!! Great kitchen area to make breakfast we didn't take advantage of the B&B breakfast but heard it was lovely, very central location shops, bars, cafes within walking distance, we liked the Fat Cactus and Mojo indoor market for music and food. The staff washed our clothes at very reasonable rates too, would highly recommend this lovely guesthouse. The bed was big and comfy and shower very good, wifi very good too.

What a friendly, welcoming place! I have absolutely only wonderful things to say about our stay at Leeuwenzee, from the moment they opened the door till our departure we were treated with friendly, helpful and professional staff. They went out of their way to make our stay a great experience. Attention to detail in all the little necessities were appreciated. A very comfortable bed and beautifully decorated room made this a fabulous experience all round. Highly recommend!

We loved everything about this property, all the staff are friendly and amazing. Jeanette and the team really provide a home from home. It has a lovely communal area which we used a lot. Our room was spacious, good shower and was kept immaculately clean for the duration of our stay. We already know we will be booking again next year. It’s also well placed to visit the south of Cape Town travelling against the traffic.

The fact we were leaving

The owner was kind enough to upgrade our room to a larger room with beautiful views since so many German guests had to cancel due to the airport strike in Germany, The staff was eager to help us to get our luggage up the steep hill and steps. The room was cozy and even had a kitchenette. There was plenty of cabinet storage space and hangers. The bed was comfortable. The guest house is located about a 10min walk down the hill to many restaurants, cafes and a great supermarket.

The sink cabinet was way too close to the toilet. The room could use more than just one outlet for people that have multiple devices like us.

Lovely staff who are always ready to assist and give information about places of interests. The guest house is very clean and fresh.

I didn't like that fact that Booking.com didnt explain to us that the charge didnt include breakfast. It was such an inconvenience for us as guests and the hosts. Worse, Booking.com even asked us about our food preferences and i wonder what that question was for!!. I think its unprofessional.

The staff are amazingly helpful and accommodating as always. I never stay anywhere else when I visit Cape Town. Fabulous location, great rooms, exceptionally well equipped. Super powerful showers, excellent quality bedding. As a vegan it's not easy to get tasty imaginative breakfasts, but I am never disappointed here.
