The room was superb. The pool area was substantial with plenty of optional shade. Good choice of food for breakfast, starting with set continental breakfast followed by cooked options of your choice. All well presented and cooked.

The room we had (Suite 1) was superb, large, well furnished and comfortable. The bathroom, recently refurbished was nicely presented but a few very minor niggles eg. no door hooks, no towel ring near the basin, the basin was obstructing one of the windows and the other window and it’s external shutter wouldn’t shut - this occasionally proved to be a problem regarding privacy. There was also no shaver point, although I didn’t see many of these on our travels around South Africa.

Liked the room with our own separate entrance and close to secure parking. Room was ground floor which was easy with cases etc. The room was huge with a very comfortable bed and a sitting area. One thing to note they only provide Netflix in the rooms no other TV options. Pool area looked lovely but the weather wasn't good enough to use it.

If we stayed in Franschoek again we might chose somewhere a little closer to the Main Street. This wasn’t far out but the walk is uphill on the way back and there weren’t pavements all the way. If you plan to only use a car then this is in a fab location.

Staff are superb, can’t do enough for you. Rooms are extremely comfortable and well equipped . In good location, easy walking distance into the village centre

Although we had a fantastic stay (third visit) the only improvement we could suggest are bigger towels in the bathroom.

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area. Our lovely ground floor bedroom was separate from the main hotel and in the garden with a private furnished outdoor space for relaxing and watching the local birds and Squirrels. Breakfast is a set Continental style with a choice of hot food to follow and was served in the restaurant which has lovely views of the garden and pool.

Breakfast was amazing, great variety. The pool was so nice to relax in, as well as the rooms. It was a very nice, homely and secluded experience. Great location to get to the wineries, but good that you could escape the busy town centre while still being close. The staff were all so amazing and welcoming, could recommend higher.

The location was perfect, a short, safe walk into town made all the amenities available. The room was exceptional and the facilities of the accommodation including the pool were perfect. The staff were brilliant.

The location was amazing! Fantastic breakfast! Loved the pool area. The room was lovely, and they used Rain products was an added bonus - just a nice touch which I really appreciated to make something as small as taking a shower even nicer.

We loved the whole experience of our time in Franschhoek. Residence Vive la Vie was the icing on the cake. The staff were obliging, friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and the accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Absolutely wonderful stay in this beautiful property! Room was spacious with amazing lounge, bathroom and terrace area. Warm welcome by the staff, lovely breakfast with extensive menu. Great location, walking distance to wine tram, village and short uphill walk to two beautiful vineyards. We will definitely book again on our next visit :) thank you

Lovely suite ,we had the king suite. Plenty space and very comfortable,tastfully decorated. Good location away from busy main rd, fabulous breakfast and staff. We will return.

Parking a bit tricky re the angle,and very limited. Our unit had parking,but when we returned to the BB the parking bay was occupied, by a non resident visitor ( only 2 parkings in total available). We then had to move our car when they left later,not really convenient. I would prefer a seperate heater preferably an oil one in the room and not use the aircon as a heater blowing hot air, which drys out the air terribly.
