The room was great, comfortable and well provided. I did not manage to get around to breakfast, but dinner was always perfect. The guest services (room service, laundry etc.) are also faultless. As for the location, even for myself (having to walk with a stick and stopping frequently) it was perfect for my needs. Easy access to the Sandton Mall, shops and banks, plus the bonus of similarly easy access to Mandela Square and the various restaurant choices there. I will be back next year........

Had a good 5 night stay for work. Lindi at reception was fantastic and placed me in the quieter Towers section of the hotel which was definitely an upgrade. Great spacious room with all facilities. Large gym with plenty of equipment and nice changing rooms. Restaurant was quiet but food was ok the one time I ate there. Breakfast was mix of buffet and a la carte and well-prepared. Housekeeping picked up little preferences and made my stay comfortable. Excellent wifi coverage. Professional and friendly staff. Very centrally located with direct access to Sadnton City mall and sister property Sun.

The decaf at breakfast was instant. Should be possible to get proper decaf coffee.

We had a great experience at Sandton Sun Hotel. Service, staff, food, location... everything was great.

Careful with the name of the hotel. The hotel is listed as Sandton Sun & Towers, but there are two different buildings, one across the street from each other, one being Sandton Sun and the other, Sandton Towers... The taxi may drop you on the wrong building and you may get to cross the street with all your luggage... The hotel itself is Sandton Sun. Suggestion to the hotel: just list it as Sandton Sun.

We were swiftly collected from the airport by the hotels transport, which made for.an excellent transition when arriving on a later flight. The staff in the sun side of the hotel were excellent and super accommodating. They made our family feel welcome and as though nothing was too much effort. We had travelled for medical treatment, so not having anything else to worry about made all the difference. Thank you, we will be back again very soon. We also loved the connected rooms!

There didn't seem to be a power outlet in the bathroom for a hair dryer or the like. Perhaps this is for safety, so not a turn off, just something we aren't used to.

The breakfast was great, the staff were extremely friendly. Everything was fabulous.

The hotel is enormous so one does feel a bit like a cog in the machine but having said that, it was very good. The one weird things was that the bedtime routine was inconsistent. There is a turn down service but in our room we only got 1 pair of slippers put out, 1 chocolate etc. etc. but the room was booked for 2 people. Initially we thought that as we had booked 2 rooms, 1 for our daughter that they had confused the room numbers but she also got only 1 set so not sure what happened there. We were there for 3 nights.

Overall we had a really nice stay. The plus points were the quiet rooms with comfy beds and nice breakfast included. Some of the staff were super friendly including the concierge (lady) and the breakfast staff. We also made use of the gym and sat around the pool

Some of the staff like the receptionists were just not that friendly at all and seemed just really cold. We also found that although the hotel professes to be 5* there was a lot of little annoyances like our bathroom light flickering non stop and the hairdryer not working. There isn’t much to do in the area either unless you like luxury shops with nobody in them!

every evening meal was amazing however some of the breakfast meals were very average..last two mornings the waiter (same staff member) got both our meal orders wrong each day, was slow in providing fresh drinks and the kitchen took a long time to prepare even basic toast...however, as stated every evening meal was excellent...also, the spa was out of order which was a little disappointing but we would still return to your hotel as it was overall an excellent experience

Lastly, the overall aesthetics of the property were just perfect. The interiors were elegant yet inviting, and there were thoughtful touches everywhere, creating a sense of warmth and sophistication. In summary, this stay combined exceptional food, pristine cleanliness, a prime location near Sandton, and delightful aesthetics. I can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a seamless and enjoyable experience.

However, one issue did impact my stay: the Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, it was consistently unreliable, frequently dropping out. As someone who needed to work remotely, this posed significant challenges, and I ended up relying on tethering from my mobile phone, which incurred an additional cost. For a property of this caliber, a stable and fast internet connection should be a given, especially for business travelers.

Breakfast : Superb amount of choice of cold buffet and hot dishes. Very nicely presented - everything tasted good We ate out on the deck which is a nice setting and I liked the fire pit and heaters Supper at the San restaurant : liked the choice ,ethos and quality of the food very helpful friendly waitress Room: elegant, super comfortable bed, with everything we needed around us including a UK plug !

The only thing that we can comment on but it was situational as it was a public holiday morning and the breakfast venue was really full and busy and the staff were under pressure to accommodate everyone and see to service but they did their best under the circumstances
