Our second stay at the Hyde (formerly Voco) was just as pleasant as the first. Front desk staff are warm and welcoming, and our room, while not huge was more than adequate. We like how the toilet is separate from the sink and the shower too! Definitely get a room that includes breakfast, which is top notch at Hyde! We stayed during the spring season and the gorgeous jacaranda were in bloom and dining outside for breakfast was an extra special treat. I also love the cool viibes gym and its shaded outdoor space for doing yoga.

Nothing to report here! Will always choose Hyde for future visits to Joburg!

It is impossible to set a drop-off point for an UBER near the hotel; cars arrive at a location that is over 100 meters away from the hotel on the other side of the intersection. I recommend that the hotel coordinate with UBER to allow cars to pass the barrier and reach the hotel entrance.

The Hyde Hotel is a beautiful hotel inside and outside. The hotel is vibé and has an energetic feel to it in the lobby and restaurant aria. The King VIP Room that we got on a special was a beautiful spacious room. The toilet was separate from the bathroom, which is great. The coffee bar was well stocked with great quality coffee and tea's and drinking water was given for free in room. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice big screen tv. The concierge service was excellent, and the concierge staff was very friendly and inviting when we arrived and left the hotel. The breakfast was also tasty and delicious.

The hotel is part of a shopping mall and restaurant area. Interior: Room nice, on 7th floor with great view, We liked the graphic artwork on the walls -- mostly originals/limited prints (?) Security: Although we don't necessarily like to spend time in shopping malls, this was a great choice for security reasons. Staff told us it's safe enough to walk also outside of the mall approx. 1 km radius (in daylight), but we opted for the golf cart for our 1km ride to dinner and back, which the hotel offered -- it's complimentary but don't forget to tip properly. Surroundings: Cafes and restaurants nearby are great; bar in hotel, too. Parking: Flawless (valet)

Excellent rooms, amazing breakfast choices, brilliant staff!

Great location, hotel organised shuttle from the airport for ease, comfortable bedding, nice view and excellent shower. Enjoyed cocktails at the downstairs bar which were fabulous and staff at the front desk arranged transportation to our dinner booking for us.

A very small but odd thing, when you book, they send you a questionnaire asking if it's a special occasion (it was), if you need a shuttle (we did but had to contact again separately) and favourite cocktail etc. and you expect there to be a reason or response to some of these questions but there isn't. lol.

Pros: - Staff - incredibly friendly and accommodative - Room - Spacious and incredibly clean - Room amenities - thoughtfully considered (from a make up towel, steamer to good quality coffee capsules) - Restaurant - brunch at Proud Mary was delicious. there was a nice buzz at the restaurant and in the lobby - Above and beyond - special touches given (champagne and chocolate strawberries) as we celebrated a special occasion. Offered a golf cart transfer to a nearby restaurant we were heading to - Location: Incredibly well located

This hotel has a great location with easy access to the Rosebank Mall and surrounding restaurants and shops, making it a safe bet for walking around. They also provided us with a golf shuttle in the evening to take us to another location in the immediate area safely with a staff member, which we thought was exceptional service. Restaurant and bar area have a great vibe and energy with a good menu and great food. It's fun and trendy and stylish. The hotel also has a brilliant gym area ( a nice surprise as it big and well laid out) and a deck for outside fitness/ yoga with a lovely view. The service provided by all the staff throughout the hotel is superb - efficient and friendly - the staff really made our stay exceptional and we were actually rather sad to say good-bye.

There are not a lot of plug points near a mirror - so its a little awkward for using a hair dryer/ hair tongs (at least in our room). They do provide a small portable mirror but it would be easier if there was a mirror accessible to a plug point. But overall our room and experience was amazing. The facilities overall and staff are exceptional so this is a minor detail - the hotel would be a go-to option definitely for us for future visits.

Hyde Johannesburg Rosebank is in a perfect location—within walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants, and everything you need. The hotel has a hip, young vibe, and the restaurant/bar downstairs is absolutely amazing. The staff was friendly and welcoming. While it’s not the quietest spot in Rosebank, if you’re looking for something more serene, 54 is a better option. However, for my short trip, this hotel was fantastic and exactly what I needed!

The rooms are exceptionally beautiful, luxurious and spacious. Everything is well thought of...there's everything you can think of and more! They even have a portable steaming iron in the room - Very thoughtful. The services were 5 star and very quick to act on your request. They park the car for you and give you a WhatsApp number to text whenever you need the cat and they'll bring it for you at the entrance. You have Proud Mary restaurant for your meals and drinks...even breakfast is served at the restaurant with plenty of delicious options to choose from! Their room mini bar is packed with all the spirits (vodkas, gins and whiskys)
