the front office staff was very professional and helpful.

kitchen and restaurant staff really need to pull their weight around, we had to wait for an hour for someone to take our order which eventually finally got our order taken and only to get an offish chicken which was very disappointing. it would be nice to get more customer experiences staff a waitress or waiters job to make sure that the customer experience is exceptional which includes taking orders or checking in with the customer regularly, staff there would disappear in the kitchen for hours, my partner ended up not wanting to order because of the amount of time that we had to wait.

We absolutely loved our super luxury room - it was spacious, spotless and offered the most breathtaking view of the mountains. There is something truly calming about the place, the lush greenery and peaceful surroundings allow you to fully disconnect and reconnect with nature. The food was another highlight - fine dinning at its absolute BEST 👌 A big shout out to our golf cart driver, Dos - such a gentle brother with great charisma. He was professional and made getting around a pleasure. And a special thank you to Julia (Manager), who swiftly attended to a minor issue we had and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable and worthwhile.

I enjoyed my stay, but I was a bit disappointed by the limited amenities offered. Just a suggestion — it would really enhance the experience if the hotel introduced more fun activities for guests, such as hiking trails, a game room, or even themed movie nights. These additions would definitely make the stay more worthwhile and memorable.

The staff were amazing, shout out to Mmabatho and Thabang, they made our stay comfortable. The food was delicious, enjoyed every meal that we ordered. The views from the Skyroom were beautiful, and the wood fire jacuzzi made relaxing outdoors at night a great experience especially since our visit was during winter. Overall, a great experience

The room phone wasn't fully working, getting hold of reception had to be done via WhatsApp which sometimes became a tedious exercise - it's easier and more convenient to request anything through the phone rather than typing everything. However, reception is quick to respond to any request sent via WhatsApp

We liked the peaceful and relaxation environment. We were I pressed by the process of communication amongst staff members which made our stay pleasant. SPA experience was great, staff proffesional and gave us welcoming drinks. Paperwork was quick and place is clean.

Unfortunately, we didn't like the dinner setup at the restaurant as we feel it was lacking an effort for the package as compared to the root setup which was less of the package. We highly recommend that this be improved looking at the package fo it. The artwork was great but something is missing.

The scenery was really good(Cannot believe that this is a few minutes drive from Joburg). The staff were really professional. It was the first time ever I was in a venue where you could call a golf car to pick you up from your room to take you anywhere you want to go within the property. That was a good a touch. There's so much I liked. We were celebrating our anniversary and they made it special. We had a picnic indoors due to the rainy weather. The resturant was good. You would see wildebees and deers eating grass just outside your balcony. I could go on...

Nothing. I liked everything. The weather spoiled it for us.

Exceptional Stay with world class service and scenic experience 👌 We had the absolute best stay at Cradle Boutique Hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. The security guard at the gate gave us a warm welcome, and the cart driver was friendly and helpful, making sure we got around the property comfortably. The reception team was professional and welcoming, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The restaurant staff were just as amazing attentive, kind, and clearly passionate about great service. Every meal was delicious and beautifully presented. The room we stayed in was amazing spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. After our long days out, the hot water in the shower was a real treat and very much appreciated. We also enjoyed a beautiful guided game walk. Our guide was incredible, sharing deep insights about the area's rich history and wildlife. It was an unforgettable experience that made our stay even more special. From beginning to end, the service was top-notch. Every team member from the gate to the room to the restaurant and the bush walk made us feel truly cared for. Hot tubs don't get too hot though Bathing amenities are so basic - non branded bathroom bulk tubes place can be incredibly cold it is really basic with a beautiful view

Overall amazing service from all staff, they were extremely friendly and super helpful. The game drive, was refreshing and the Game Driver was exceptionally knowledgeable. Rooms views was breathing taking, rooms were clean and neat. The team ensure the Hot tub was to our satisfaction they went out of their way to ensure we were happy. The Spa team was super friendly and best message in town have not received such welcoming friendly team. Very clean and neat service spa. All Kitchen and Golf Cart drivers were super helpful and friendly. Food presentation and taste was awesome.

The team could not accommodate with early and late check-in/checkout, based on special requests. The reception team that assisted when checking out and taking final payment, costed me extra in bank charges by not informing us that speed point entries must be in SA rands and not Foreign exchange. My final payment had to be reversed and recharged. Hence i was charged 3 times bank charges.

The staff are INCREDIBLE! The food is delicious and the rooms are very comfortable. Spa treatments are also great!

The only reason the property lost a point (9/10) is because of the Kol Kol (wood-fired hot tub). We booked the Sky Room specifically so that we could use this and were never able to, as the water never got hot. The staff worked very hard trying to get it hot but 6 hours (and lots of wood later) and the water was still barely warm, which meant we couldn’t use it at all as it was cold outside. Had we known, we would have booked a different room with more of a bush view.

Rooms are amazing - large beds, clean, crisp sheets, amazing views, clean bathroom with excellent water pressure in the shower large TV screens. The staff are fantastic - very helpful, proactive, friendly and make you feel welcome. The food is delicious and the view from the restaurant is beautiful and relaxing, it makes the eating experience even better. The natural swimming pool is wonderful - no chlorine, the birds drink from the pool, the frogs are in the surrounding ponds, it is a wonderful natural experience.

While the food is delicious, we felt that the restaurant is trying too hard to be haute cuisine or fine-dining and it comes across as stingy. South African hospitality is renowned for generosity and good food, but when you order a bush grill and you are given half a mielie (corn-on-the-cob) I get concerned. With the prices we were paying surely a whole mielie can be given? The portions in general are very small and the "carrots" and other vegetables detailed as part of the meal are baby sized. The "pumpkin" is a splash of orange instead of a healthy portion of pumpkin. The breakfasts were better, but there again, with an included breakfast (R200) wee were limited to what juice we can select. Just because a juice is sold for R85 doesnt mean it costs R85.
