Did not opt for the hotel breakfast but their restaurant seems nice and seems like locals patronise it too!

The superior double room is great and worth the price. However, some things we felt could be improved are: 1. Maybe an opaque door or a night light for the toilet/bathroom. The bathroom door is frosted and faces the bed directly, so when one of us has to use it, the light shines directly onto the bed which can be a disruption to the other sleeping person. 2. The bed sheet had some stains, while I believe it's not a dealbreaker and that the bed sheet was cleaned, but it would have been an even better experience if the bed sheet were free of these stains. 3. Only 1 washing machine and dryer in the laundry area. Could add 1 or 2 more. (In case it helps, it cost 5000won for each of the machine and you will need to buy the laundry detergent at 1000won for a packet)

The hotel is situated close to the metro stop. It has restaurants and 2 seven eleven stores all around it. To get here on the airport limousine get off at the Plaza hotel on bus 6701. It is a 4 min walk from there.

Clean, modern hotel with all the basic amenities. They had water purifyers on each floor to refill water bottles which was very handy. Shower and bedroom were clean and tidy. Location was also great. About a 15mins walk to Myeongdong shopping area and 10 to 30mins to different palaces. The best part was right in the same block where the hotel is, there are many different restaurants and pochas. Several convenience stores handy. Lots of BBQ and noodle places. You hardly need to leave the hotel area to eat!

I stayed here 2 times, my first room 607 was a dream, great size room and bathroom, very comfortable Close walk to City Hall Station and lots of restaurants nearby Seoul Station is 1 stop away on the subway Line1 The Incheon Airport Limousine can drop you by City Hall Plaza Hotel which is a short walk away Close to 2 7ELEVEN convenience stores Myeongdong main shopping street is also only a 20 min walk away They let you check in early for 10,000KRW per hour Staff at reception speak English and were super helpful and lovely There was a Worldpass kiosk and luggage scale in reception 2 lifts They only clean your room on request but do come in to give you new towels daily Has a getting-ready/make-up shelf and mirror Lots of lighting options and storage Lots of TV channels like MBC, SBS, Mnet etc Ring doorbell for each room

The second time I stayed here I was in room 1010 and I wasn't as keen though it was the same layout, it was on the corner of the building which meant there was a window above my bed and outside was pretty noisy Staying at lower room numbers means you'll be closer to the lifts, which can be noisy They don't give you any other amenities but shower gel, shampoo, soap and some tea and coffee sachets There wasn't a wide selection at breakfast and not many places nearby are open early morning

Location was excellent. Family rooms accommodated 3 people.

You have to request for the room to be cleaned. Our glasses were not replaced every day. The towels were replaced. Bedding does not get washed unless you ask. If you have, they are quick to reply.

Rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff were lovely. Location was a little soip and a hop to City Hall station, with plenty of food and night life around. Myeongdong station and shopping areas are close enough to make several day trips out by subway if one wished. Also just needed to say the young gentleman that helped us out with ordering a large taxi this morning, I think his name was Haewon, was a gem! Spoke English fantastically and went above and beyond to assist us.

Not all the staff could communicate in English or perhaps a little shy? Haha or maybe the Aussie accent threw them off. Not debilitating as I can speak a little Korean and they were definitely not rude.

~10 mins from Myeongdong. Has an amazing neighborhood and walking distance to Namdaemun Market.

The accommodation is in a strategically ideal location, in the center of the tourist part of the city, only about 300m from the Seoul City Hall subway station. The room was large by local standards, the beds comfortable. The buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant from 7 to 10 am was very good and varied. There are a large number of local authentic restaurants and refreshments in the area.

The only thing we didn't like were the glass doors to the bathroom and toilet. It disrupts privacy and intimacy. We were unlucky and our room had windows to the courtyard, to the facade of the neighboring building, so the room was very dark. I would put more emphasis on cleaning in general. We found dust, hair in several places in the room, and there was a lot of mess behind the beds from previous visitors. The windows could also be cleaned. As for the amenities, I missed the possibility of providing a toothbrush, razor, face cream and similar items that are freely available in similar hotels. I would also appreciate the free availability of coffee and soft drinks in the hotel lobby.

Room was a decent size for the location and staff were great very helpful and spoke great English, very clean and well maintained

When I had to leave

Very centrally located in the Myeongdong district (a good place for people visiting Seoul for the first time I would say), the Travelodge is very comfortable and clean. It was a great start and end point for my trip to South Korea, and is close to City Hall subway station. Breakfast was a bit poor with inattentive, uninterested staff and plastic places and cups, but that didn't detract from the overall experience (the front desk staff, on the other hand, were very polite and helpful when I had questions).

Breakfast, although given the opportunity to stay here again I would probably book the room without breakfast option and go to the local convenience store which has some good alternatives.
