A perfect little hotel right in the middle of Alicante - you are literally 10 minute walk from everything - Beach, Mercado, Plaza Luceros, RENFE station, Mushroom Street (Calle San Francisco). The staff are really friendly and the well laid out room was cleaned to a high standard. The beds were OK and we slept well. Bathroom was nice with an excellent shower. The air con unit was a blessing too! There are no breakfast facilities and, being a 1 star, there is no tea/coffee in room but there are loads of cafes in a square literally outside the hotel for a proper spanish desayuno under the trees!!! But please bear in mind that this is a 1 star hotel so facilities you may expect are not included but for the price you pay in the centre of Alicante, this is actually great value. It is all very basic and reminded us of EasyHotel. We will definitely come back here next time.

There was nothing we didn't like as the hotel met our expectations for the price we paid. The room is really comfy and clean but is small, as is the balcony. The walls/doors are also quite thin so you hear everything if others are moving around the hotel. There is also only one lift which is quite basic with a manually operated door which is a little noisy when other guests slam it shut. Our suggestion is use lift for going up but use stairs for going down!

An excellent location of the hotel enables getting everywhere on foot. Around the hotel you can find a lot of cafeterias, restaurants and shops. I really like the comfortable bed, balcony and air conditioning. As some people write that the bathroom is small - it is, but it is enough and btw in Alicante you would need to stay in a hotel located in a modern, new building to have a "normal" size bathroom (and a "normal" size elevator). An added value for San Remo is - reception 24h and cleaning service every day.

Well, I was very satisfied with the hotel, also comparing to the price. The only thing that was missing for me is that some people of the personnel didn't speak English well, but in the end it wasn't a huge obstacle to understand each other.

It's my 2nd time at this hotel, 1st time as a couple and 2nd time as a family,: The front staff are very welcoming, and ready to help.The hotel has a lift and the rooms are air conditioned,, it has a big wardrobe, a safe and very clean, the room attendants will always ask if you need something in your room and they will clean it as of the first day when you checked in. The hotel is very close to the restaurants, pubs and open spaces. The beach is a 10 minute walk away. A supermarket and a laundry is a 3 minutes walk away. Highly recommend and I already book another holiday next year in the same hotel.

I like everything about this hotel,, the facilities , the staff and its location.

I liked my stay in San Remo. The hotel met my expectations. It's great because of the location, my room was very small but very clean too. There were clean towels and shower fluid. The hotel reception is open 24/7, speaks English and is very helpful if you need anything. The ladies especially were very friendly and smiling both at night and during the day. The hotel was very quiet so I could sleep well.

The only thing that bothered me was the lack of an iron in the entire hotel (I had to ask friends from another hotel to iron my shirts). Also there is no hairdryer in the room, you have to go to the reception every time, but it was not as annoying as the lack of an iron in the entire hotel. I can't see more rooms for improvements.

The San Remo Hotel was in a great, safe location with bars and restaurants on the doorstep. It's around 10 minutes' walk from the Mercado tram stop. The old town is minutes away, as is the promenade. A very clean and functional hotel. Small reception area and a lift to the floors. The stairs are narrow, and you may struggle with luggage. The staff were really friendly and helped me book an airport taxi. The room was compact and well equipped. It has a desktop area, chair and flat screen TV. The WiFi was very good. The bathroom was quite small but had everything. Overall, it was a great value hotel, and I'd certainly rebook.

It didn't have a kettle, which for a Brit is a must 😅

Great location, walking distance to basically everything. Pleasant staff at the reception. It is possible to leave luggage after checkout which I appreciated. Clean rooms with easy and practical design.

Even with closed windows and on a higher floor it was quite noisy as you can hear voices, cars, etc from the street.

Perfect hostel to stay in Alicante. Very nice staff and very helpful. The hotel is in an ideal location - almost in the center, but away from the noisy streets. The main promenade is a 5-minute walk away. There are plenty of pubs and cafes nearby. The rooms are very clean, well-equipped, with a view of the city from the balcony

Nothing, it was really perfect

good location 10min walk to front 15min walk to beach if you turn left from hotel to main road and then right not as we were told by the receptionist who told us to go straight to the front then turn left took 30min. some building work is going on at the sea front but can't be heard from your room. however on our third night we were kept awake till 0300 by loud music not sure were it was coming from a pub or bar near by .ses

see above plus air con wasn't the best took a long time to cool room and there was a smell after you flushed the toilet didn't last for long but smelled like rotten eggs .eating out was very poor as well the food was poor and service slow in Alicante

Nice location, nice clean and bright rooms, nice amount of natural light, a balcony which was wonderful, and friendly staff, good wifi - it was all good really, and still is.

I have no criticism of this hotel at all, but Spain, please - someone needs to tell you what a tea bag is! Us Brits have panic attacks if we can't find a tea bag, and the notion of not having tea bags and kettles in a hotel room is a little bit like not having oxygen at the hospital for us. What do you want us to do? Do a chicken dance and jump off the balcony? I had a delerium psychosis over not having a cup of tea for so long, and I nearly called the British embassy for emergency assistance. Beam me up Tetley. Also recycling seems non existent in Spain but this is about Spain, not the San Remo hotel, which was great.

The location of the hotel is amazing, we also got the room with a balcony which we really enjoyed. Rooms were cleaned and cleaners did their job every day really well.

The staff in the reception could be more communicative as they just said a few words like hello and goodbye during all our stay. However, answered all our questions we had. One more thing that in the room was no hairdryer.
