The hotel is perfectly located, with fabulous views to Montjuic from the rooftop bar. Airport shuttle bus stops in front of the hotel, 12.50eur is the return ticket which you can buy on the bus and it takes 20min to get to the hotel from the airport. Rooms are spotlessly kept, daily change of towels, big bathroom with amazing shower. We had enough space for our luggage and clothes. The biggest tribute goes to the mattress and pillows! The best sleep ever!! Breakfast was very good, delicious with the sweetest staff! You can ask at the kitchen for fried eggs or Omelette.. Unfortunately, there's wasn't time for gym.. :) Hotel indoors was very well maintained. Our stay was wonderful, thanks to all the personnel! 🍀 We're coming back!

For us the breakfast was excellent, it was 14 euros each if you booked it when checking in but went up to 17 euros each if you didn't. If you eat a good breakfast it is worth it but not if you don't each much. It is a buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice.The room size was great and it had a clothes hand steamer ( which is a nice touch in my opinion). The hotel is in a perfect location for us with great transport to easily get around if needed. There is a pool at the top, a gym so things to do in the hotel. I would 100% use this hotel again.

The mattress was a little hard but that will always be a matter of opinion. We were on the fourth floor and you could hear a very slight rumble from the metro but only for a matter of seconds but never stopped me from sleeping or kept me awake.

Great location has a rooftop bar lounge and pool although the pool is more like a wading pool still the vew from the pool is amazing. The hotel is very clean I loved the shower really fantastic big and comfortable with big rain shower. Also the breakfast is pretty good big verity. Also great shopping in a converted bull fighting arena that also have some roof top restaurants

Really the only thing I didn’t like was we would leave early morning and come around early afternoon for a break and my room wasn’t cleaned yet. And when I talk to reception they say oh well they have till five pm the finish cleaning…….

The location of the hotel was spectacular. Very well connected but not overly touristy. It is not close to the coast, Las Ramblas, or the main sites. However, that is not a problem at all for me as I could easily grab a bus or metro. There were many fantastic museums nearby. I enjoyed that it was modern, clean, well air conditioned, and had great staff. I would stay in this hotel again, despite my only challenge (listed below).

As with most hotels in Europe, the walls are thin. My "neighbors" in the next room had a very celebratory night one night and that made it very difficult to sleep well. The rooftop bar and pool are overrated as they can get crowded very quickly as it is a rather tight space.

A modern-looking hotel, with staff who were nice in every department. The lobby lounge was comfortable, and breakfast didn't have the biggest selection, but it was ok. The pool was tiny, and there were good views from the rooftop terrace. The room was "petite", with a good bathroom and a nice bed, and the cleaning ladies did a great job. If you get it at a cheap rate, then go for it.

The closet area was virtually non-existent, just enough for a solo traveller for a week, a couple with a partner who wants to take a lot of things with them, it's just not big enough. You can also feel the metro when it goes by, and I was on the 4th floor! The elevators werent as modern as the hotel.

Location was great. Near metro , buses etc. Hotel was very clean, staff very friendly. Room and towels were tidied everyday. Hotel was quiet.

Bathroom door didn’t shut properly and no instructions on how to switch on overhead shower. The smaller shower worked perfectly. We were given the twin room as requested but we were left uncertain about the twin beds being available until we arrived… although I had emailed the hotel they could not guarantee this before we arrived. Guest should be made aware of the rumbling of metro beneath building. Not loud but on the 1st floor I was very aware of the noise.

The location of the hotel was amazing, with easy access to the bus station (d20) that can take you to Barceloneta. Also it’s close proximity to the mall at Plaza Espana. The breakfast was delicious, although the room was a bit small which is understandable for a 3-star hotel. I wish the receptionists were more communicative and expressive. Overall, it was a very good experience. I would recommend this hotel, especially if you have a concert at the Olympic Stadium as it is within walking distance. The hotel is also conveniently located near the metro station. The nearby restaurants were satisfactory with a variety of options. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel for its great location and amenities.

Very convenient place to stay. It is close to the first Aerobus stop Plaça Espanya coming from the airport to the city center and hence also close to the underground (I personally do not like the crowded subway station, since three lines L1, L3 and L8 are crossing there, so I preferred a short walking to the next L3 station Tarragona).

I travelled for work and hence I missed a little a proper desk at the hotel room, but at the end I could use the desks in the lobby, although they had quite high chairs (a bar-type desk and chair).

The room was comfortable and clean with an ample supply of hand-wash, hair and body gel and body lotion. Room was cleaned and bed made everyday and fresh towels too. Tea and coffee supply's topped up too when needed. Two fresh bottles of water were given to us aswell for the first 3-4 days. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the girls at breakfast. There was an amazing selection of foods for breakfast that covered all tastes and fresh omelette was made for you if you wanted. There was fresh water, fruit and sweets that you could help yourself too in the reception area which was much needed when returning from a long hot day discovering Barcelona. The hotel was in an ideal location with bus and metro nearby. The main Barcelona train station was about a 10min walk away. We used the train a few times and cannot fault the service. Overall the hotel was clean and tidy . The air conditioning was brilliant and we both slept well as the room didn't get too hot. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Barcelona and Iam looking forward to staying in their other hotels too. Thank you Occidental Barcelona 1929 for a lovely, friendly stay.

The only thing I would say is there isn't much storage for your clothes in the room. There was enough hanging space but would have liked some shelves or drawers for underwear, t-shirts, shorts etc. We stayed for a week and did live out of the suitcase.

The hotel is in a perfect central position, close to bus stops and metros, but not in a noisy zone. The room was small but clean and the staff was very nice (I said we were coming for my boyfriend's birthday, and they left a card and some cake for us to enjoy, super cute!). The breakfast was not too varied but it was delicious. The pool and the rooftop were amazing. It was a pleasure to stay at the Occidental Barcelona, and I fully recommend it!
