Perfect location, so close to Las Ramblas, Gothic quarter and an easy stroll for our family to the super vibrant Playa Barceloneta. Hotel was clean, nice common area and a lovely courtyard with a pool, which we didn't use because we were at the beach. We paid for breakfast for one morning and for the price was a good range (no Jamon but salami/chorizo) to get you going for the day. Coffee machine in the common area was useful for warm water to make baby formula. Room size was very good and it included a king size bed. Air conditioning may be a bit noisy for some people but we don't mind background noise and at least it works well. Had a balcony too!

The baby cot was unavailable on the first night, that's life though.

The hotel itself is lovely! Very nice building with great features, has a pool and outside area. The rooms are very basic compared to the building itself, but it has everything you need. Bathroom was a good size, has hairdryer, towels, bar of soap but shampoo is in a tub on the side of the shower. Aircon is imbedded but does the job. Room was very spacious. We also had our 6month old baby and staff were great at accommodating. They had placed a cot with fresh sheets and a duvet type blanket. Julian was also great, he gave hs a kettle for the room to make milk overnight - which honestly was a life-saver!! There aren’t any hot drinks in the room but there is a hot drinks station which is accessible 24/7, in the court area. Location was AMAZING! We were right next to La Rambla. Both Joel and Julian are also great at advising where to go, what to eat and places to see. In terms of service, everything was great. It was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would recommend this place as its walking distance to so many great places and we’ve already decided with my husband we’ll be back!

Rooms features basic compared to rest of hotel but still has everything you need.

Location was just wonderful, close to fantastic restaurants, bars, public transport and tourist attractions. Loved this place and it was just wonderful to come home to the beautiful pool and terrace area. Would definitely stay here again

Some cutlery and crockery for getting take away and a kettle with tea or coffee in the room would have really topped things off. Though the coffee machine downstairs was appreciated

Location was good, reception staff was warm and helpful

However, the staff at breakfast was extremely rude and impolite. They need serious training on how to deal with guests. No tissue box in the room, no safe deposit and no iron. These are basic things that should’ve been there in the room especially when paying so much per night.

Central hotel, close to the busy street of La Rambla. Supermarkets and restaurants nearby. most highlights of the city in a walking distance. coffe machine available 24/7 for free coffee and tea. The superior room was very big and comfortable.

The breakfast wasn t very good. I wouldn't suggest it. the cleaning of our room and the services in general were ok although I have to mention that friends of us in the same hotel had unfortunately unpleasant experience.

We visited Onix Liceo with my husband and 5-year-old daughter. The location is very good, right next to La Rambla. The room was very clean. The elevator was working well. The staff were very friendly and answered all our questions in detail. The air conditioner was working well and we did not have any problem with our daughter in the room connected to anything. Having the tea/coffee machine and cold water 24 hours in the lobby was very nice. Although we did not have the chance to swim, the swimming pool looked nice and our daughter had fun around. After check out, we could leave our luggages for some hours till our flight and there was no security problems. If we visit Barcelona, we can again stay in Onix Liceo.

We did not have breakfast in Onix Liceo because the price seemed to be a little expensive. For this reason we do not know how the context/quality is but just thought it could be a little less expensive.

I think it's a relatively new hotel. They took the shell of an old building and placed a hotel inside it. Breakfast was good (probably not 15 euro value, as claimed, but still good) and the staff was very friendly. Overall, it was a very clean and unique hotel. The terrace was a nice spot. Not much use though, since you can't really see things from there. From what I gathered, it was a place where smoking was allowed.

Our room (see pictures) shared a wall with the elevator, which caused mechanical noise during the day. The noise at night (after 11 p.m.) wasn’t too bad. But during the day, the noise was constant. I booked the terrace room hoping to avoid the street noise, but unfortunately, we ended up next to the elevator. Each floor has a room adjacent to the elevator, so there are a total of five “noisy” rooms. I asked for a different room, but the lady at front forgot and never got back to us. The blackout curtains weren’t very effective, and we were naturally woken up at 6:30 a.m. The air conditioner was positioned directly in front of the bed, which wasn’t very comfortable. And also, there is a plug in for Netflix, but it does not really work. TV has only Spanish channels.

I really loved this hotel. Being familiar with the Spain's accomodations, although it is a 3 star hotel and I wasn't expecting too much from it, it was really a great stay and it exceeded my expectancies. The room and bathroom were clean, the room had enough space to accomodate a family of 2 and a child. We got a double room with a very large bed and everyone slept fine. AC also worked ok, we had no troubles with it. It's a great location, near the Las Ramblas, markets, bus and metro stations. Walking distance from the Aquarium, Barceloneta beach, Gotic neighborhood. Although it is in the proximity of El Raval, we have never felt insecure, or had any troubles at all on Las Ramblas. You are very close to Palau Guell and a short distance from the Police station. You can only enter the hotel with your room card, which for us was a great sign of responsibilty. The staff was very friendly and helpful every time, especially when our child got stomach issues during our last night of stay. The receptionist was very nice and kind and helped us and provided new bed sheets, so our room could be clean again. And it was near the middle of the night, just imagine! We also had breakfast included, it was a great thing especially as we traveled with a "always hungry" kid. Not so many vegetarian options but for us it was not a turnoff, as we had plenty of other meals from where to choose. Good coffee, there was also a coffee machine in the lobby you could use cost free. Thank you for everything, I would defenitely come again in here.

As I stated before, no vegetables during the breakfast, but for us it was not a deal breaker, we could live without veggies and we were just fine. Maybe if you are claustrophobic, the rooms ending with an "1" (i.e. 101, 201..501) are not for you, as you only have a window (which is either closed or opened),pointing to the inland, so there is not so much natural light coming in for you. For us it was fine, as we only used the room in the evening and during the night, but if you're looking for a balcony, maybe you will have specify your preferences.

The hotel is in a very convenient, central location with excellent access to the metro and buses. Also being just off La Rambla, is in a great spot for restaurants, shops, sights etc. The room was a little dated but spacious and clean, also a large bathroom with a good shower. We didn’t choose the breakfast instead opting for the 365 bakery a few doors down which was heaven (and very reasonably priced)! Also recommend Pizza Circus if you have fussy kids - it was excellent. There is no tea/coffee making facility in the room but there is a tea/coffee station downstairs free for guests. There were some noisy pipes but overall a quiet hotel.

First of all, this is an excellent location just a short walk away from the heavily trafficked pedestrian walkway, La Rambla as well as the Plaça Reial and the Mercat de la Boqueria. In addition two metro stations are less than five minutes away, giving access to places all over the city. A very helpful staff and clean, if spartan accommodations. Bonus, a swimming pool. Also plenty of casual food and drink can be purchased nearby (and a very well stocked selections of liquor, wine and beer across the street.

A relatively spartan room with small closet space and no drawers. There was a small refrigerator and it was very clean. The bathroom was large and well laid out.
