Modern hotel in a perfect location to explore the city. Staff are fantastic and very helpful. Rooms are beautiful and compact. Great attention to detail. Rooms have tea coffee facilities with a bottle of water, fridge, safe and hair dryer. Big television. Beds are very comfortable and the staff who clean the rooms each day leaving you pj’s folded neatly on your pillow, which I thought was such a lovely thing.

The bathrooms have glass walls, and even though parts are foggy, if you share with someone, you will see and hear everything they do in the bathroom. You would have more comfort booking a room per person rather than sharing. But that’s not the staffs fault.

The location was the best part! Around the corner from the Old Town, beside the tram & bus lines. The hotel provided cold water at reception. The receptionists were very friendly. The bar & toilets were very clean. Our room had a view over the bridge. The shower was very good. The air-conditioning was excellent. I enjoyed a coffee in my room every day using the coffee machine. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant one night.

I thought there could have been more toiletries in the bathroom. Some tissues, a shower cap, a toilet brush. The body wash was not good for washing hair. The bar staff seemed a bit under stress, the guy looking after the restaurant in particular. We asked to eat there on our last day & he seemed, at first, reluctant to seat us & it was only 9.35pm. We had to wait 15 minutes & then he prepared a table for us. While we were waiting, a party of 3 arrived & he seated them in 5 minutes. I heard the barman ask him if a party of 7 could come to the restaurant & he said 'No' to the guy. I couldn't understand why he'd be turning away customers as the restaurant is open until 11pm. There are plenty of cafés around to find breakfast as it's quite expensive in the hotel.

Location was absolutely perfect. Staff on reception could not have been more helpful or welcoming (taking time to recommend local restaurants and areas of interest). Comfortable room with coffee machine and fridge and complimentary water on arrival. Room cleaned to high standard daily.

The lightly frosted glass walls of the bathroom gave little privacy or soundproofing. When booking, I requested the twin bed option rather than a double as I was sharing with a friend but was advised that could only be confirmed at check-in, depending on availability. The windows in the room needed cleaning. The rooftop bar was closed for maintenance.

Design, modernity, bathroom, and location was amazing!

When we booked 6 months prior, we couldn't understand why hotels in Bilbao were so expensive . We were slugged 600 euros per night x 2 when the football final was on. Booking .com did not declare this. Unethical in my view. We would have rearranged this part of our trip to avoid the costs and the accompanying hooliganism. Also, front desk staff were blah. We are easily pleased, but they had a definite problem with customer contact. Uninterested. Not good enough for this level of branding.

Excellent location; very friendly and helpful stuff; a clean, spacious and beautiful room; very soft and big towels; excellent and affordable breakfast; discount for a nearby parking garage. The room had a big bed, table, sitting bench and an armchair, enough storage room and a beautiful bathroom. We had even a fridge that we can use and a toothbrush in the bathroom.

Everything was amazing, highly recommended! Two small things: maybe it would have been nice if the gym was open later than 22:00 & it there was a toilet brush in the bathroom.

Really central location in Bilbao, quite and clean room, modern ambiance.

I was really disappointed as the morning we were leaving we went downstairs at the hotel's restaurant/cafe and asked to have a quick coffee in order to head up and check out our room. The staff informed us that as it was breakfast time they could NOT serve us any coffee and that we should go outside and pick a cup from a cafe in the neighborhood. Dear NYX management, if a hotel visitor asks for a cup of coffee (not at any time, in the morning!) and for some reason you cannot accommodate that need, you just pour them a cup from the American coffee you serve at breakfast complimentary. Hotels are meant to be hospitable :-)

“NYX Hotel Bilbao is an excellent choice for a stay in the city. Its location in the old town is perfect, with plenty of pintxos bars, cafes, and even a churrería just across the street. The shopping area is just an easy 10-minute walk away, and public transport (bus and tram) is conveniently right in front of the hotel. The hotel is modern with a good layout, features like a coffee maker and drinkable water are a nice touch. However, the glass bathroom lacks privacy, which might not suit everyone. Special thanks to the friendly and helpful reception staff, especially Semir and another gentleman. Overall, a very good stay in Bilbao!”

Bathroom lacks privacy

The location was great. Near to casco antiguo, la ria, la gran via, metro station and tranvia. The staff was awesome. Kind. Friendly. Open to help. The best from start to finish. The food and drinks were great and delicious.

The room was very unconfortable for a family with 2 young boys. The shower and WC were open and visible despite the film on top of the glass. The beds were a bit hard. No phone for room service. The room was unconfortable for 4 people.

Location was nice. Easy walk in 10min to the bus that takes you to the airport and easy to see the city and its main attractions . Close to shopping and everything you want to eat right next to you.

It was too expensive for the value I would say, simple room without having any amenities apart from a toothbrush and shampoo/shower gel 2 in 1 (even though maybe you could ask for things you have forgotten from the receptionist or slippers-we didn’t ask ) but it looked rather poor. 1 bottle of water provided-normally there are 2 for 2 people (not a big deal but it fits with the whole perception of the room)
