A nice peaceful location out of the way of the busy night life but still within walking distance of the beach and amenities.

We discovered on arrival that the air con in the whole hotel wasnt working. This had been a requirement on booking. Fortunately, we are still in the early stages of the season heat wise. There was ongoing labouring work in near by houses which was noisey and 2 dogs constantly barking in a near by tenancy. It is understandable that this is outwith the control of the accommodation proprietor, however it did impact on the potentially peaceful ambiance.

Great location. Near shops and the beach. Views of the sea from balcony. Lovely staff. Friendly. Check in and out was fast and easy. Clean. The room was cleaned 2 times during my stay. It was to a good standard. Pool was closed but looked good.

For a solo female traveller, I didn’t feel safe at night walking to my block as there were no lights going up the stairs and in the hall way so I used my torch, family members who I was visiting walked me back to my room every night due to lack of lighting. I understand that the hotel wasn’t full but lighting would be safer, especially if arriving with luggage and bags

Excellent location close to the beach but in a quiet residential area. Close enough to shops and restaurants without being right in the center of the busy areas. Views from the balcony and windows are beautiful, and it's a quiet place to stay, so very relaxing. The pool area is nice and clean, and there was always room for us to have two poolside recliners with an umbrella. In the apartment there is enough kitchen equipment to cook all your own meals. Overall it's a nice basic apartment with everything you need to enjoy a week or two weeks' stay, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

While we were there we ate in the cafe once, but half the menu isn't actually available, and what we did order wasn't really worth the price. It was the same quality you can buy yourself at the corner shop (tortilla and hummous, etc). It may have actually come from a shop instead of being made at the hotel, but not sure. The property also allows smoking, and it did bother us if we had the windows open or were sat on the balcony or by the pool. These things might not bother some, but for us it decreased the experience just a bit.

The 1 bed apartment was clean and tidy. The shower was powerful. Kitchenette was quite well equipped with a microwave, toaster, crockery, a small pack with tiny washing up liquid, sponge and cloth. Reception staff were very nice. Reception has limited hours in winter (9-4), but our key cards were left in a coded security box, as we arrived later. Plenty of free spaces to park our hire car nearby - on the street and on a plot of land. The price was good in the off season. There is an outdoor pool, but I believe it's closed in the off season.

A bit of bathroom maintenance is needed...loose ceiling panel and mouldy door panel at ground level. My husband had issues accessing the wifi on his mobile at times (luckily he had lots of his own phone data). I had not so many issues with it. Seemed to have more limited coverage in the bedroom.

the only reason for the 9 and not a 10, is that the bathroom is pretty old. The sink smells, and the water temperature is not stable and change randomly. I wish they fix the temperature thing before someone get burned...

Apartment with a pool view was great,,plenty of utensils and crockery for a self catering stay.a toaster,coffee maker,fridge,microwave and we asked for a kettle,which was supplied with no charge…the living room has a sofa bed which serves has a settee,a 50 ins tele on the wall,with English channels,table with 4 chairs..the bedroom had a king size bed,iron,ironboard ,and safe in the wardrobe which also had draws inset,it also had a smaller wall mounted tele…the balcony overlooked the pool and we were on the ground floor..the Flipflop is situated on the quieter side of the Santa ponsa bay,but it’s only about 20 min walk to the other side..there are plenty of restaurants and cheapish bars within 5 min walk,and most of the restaurants do takeaways..the Flipflop group have recently taken over this complex,and seem to improving it every day,such as supplying breakfasts and snacks,and they have opened a bar,,,the staff from the manager to the cleaners etc.are all very pleasant and courteous,with nothing too much for them,,we had a great 11 night stay,and would recommend the Flipflop surfing playa.

I booked a flat with pool view. At the end we also had a beautiful view on the sea. We had the top floor so the place was quiet. The two persons at the reception were amazingly friendly. Great location: The flat was located 5min walking to the main beach, and restaurants. 10min-15min walking from the bus stop from Palma airport/city. Apartment was like on pictures.

No kettle. No salt, pepper included. But we went downstairs at the bar and they gave us some. The option to eat at the bar are basic sandwiches from the supermarket but very expensive. 6 euros vs 2-3 euros at the small food shop 5min walking.

We can highly recommend the Flipflop Surfing Playa hotel. Our apartment (422) was amazing, spacious and in a very good condition. It offered a big kitchen, big TV, good internet connection (we even streamed one movie), a super comfortable bed and stunning sea and mountain views both from the living room and balcony. The place itself was quiet and is located in a part of Santa Ponca which is "sufficiently far away" from the "party zone" but on the other hand not as far away as one cannot return by feet after a few drinks ;-). Of course the quality of our stay depended very much on the views which the apartment offered, including one or two spectacular sunsets :-) The service at the reception was brilliant and the apartment frequently cleaned.

Basically there was nothing that we did not like, but yes, a "cafetera manual" to prepare an espresso would have been a highly welcomed extension (we asked for it but the hotel was unable to provide).

This place is great value for money. The bed was VERY comfortable! The pool was lovely and the apartment was very big and had what we needed.

Location wise It was a bit far from things, which might have been a good thing in the end, because it was quieter but we did not see the beach and had to walk 8 minutes there. The difficult thing is that this property (and I have this problem with others as well) advertised that they have air conditioning but they do NOT have air conditioning (in May). All the rooms are set to the same system and we were only able to turn on the heat, not cool air. I asked for a fan, which they thankfully provided, and slept with the windows open, which felt felt a bit dangerous since we were on ground level and also could hear all the planes going all night.

We loved the view from the room. We were lucky to have a balcony and a terrace to sun bathe, enjoy breakfast outside and watch sunsets. The room was spacious and well equipped with a large shower. Wifi worked well. The location was amazing, there were several beaches within walking distance and an amazing viewpoint not too far away. Santa Ponca is a quant and lovely little town. You can find everything there.

I would have preferred more towels as some got dirty already on the first day due to the shower water running out onto the floor. Perhaps a bottle of water as a welcome courtesy would be great. We tried to communicate via WhatsApp but they did not respond to our messages.
