Fantastic location. Lovely building and immediately opposite the cathedral. It was great being right in the center and popping in and out during the day to drop off / pick up stuff. We had a lovely room and spacious bathroom

I would have liked a few more coat hangers - 4 for 2 of us for 2 days was a bit annoying. I booked the car park and had confirmation and when we arrived the receptionist didn’t know anything about it. Was a bit frustrating as we were then stuck in a narrow street. But we sorted out eventually. I did think it was a bit poor though as I was standing in the street Tallinn via the intercom in the rain and she was being a bit obtuse. Obviously I wouldn’t have had the address of the car park if I hadn’t already reserved the parking. The same lady then kept us waiting 30 mins until She was ready to let us check in.

The location of the hotel, next to Salamanca's main points of interest is absolutely fabulous. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, the room comfortable, and having a parking space in the building really is a bonus. The only drawbacks were: - breakfast room located in basement without windows, but there are many nearby street cafés where we could do breakfast – it would be nice to have an espresso machine in the bedroom – we would have appreciated to be explained the parking location and that way to access it In the reservation confirmation We will certainly stay there when we come back to Salamanca and have recommended it to our friends

The location couldn’t be better, at the highest point of the old town makes it such a walkable location. The buffet breakfast was probably one of the best we have ever had. Sometimes it is difficult to justify the pricing of hotel breakfasts if all you get is a dried up selection of food but Sercotel nailed it. A great selection of hot and cold food, numerous juices, fresh fruit and coffee/ tea. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Beds were comfy and the hotel decoration is very nice too.

We stayed a few days before Christmas and it was a bit noisy as people left the restaurant at the end of service but it didn’t go on for too long.

The location, appart from beautiful --right behind the cathedral--, was right in the middle of the city and because one sees the cathedral from many points in the city it was very easy to always find the hotel. Extremely convenient. I have several severe food allergies and intolerances and *Susana*, the person in charge of breakfast, took all the trouble so I would not get cross-contramination from the bouffet, and prepared everything herself taking all precautions, and thanks to her effort, everything went perfect. I want to extend my special thanks to her. The hotel has its own parking, extremely convenient in that old quarters area. All personal was helpful and nice.

The only thing that was less good was the water pressure in the shower, it was very low.

We drove to the location and immediately the fact that we could park right underneath the hotel was a big plus. The location of the hotel was ideal. It was right next to the old cathedral and right in the middle of the historic center, near restaurants, etc. It was great being able to walk back to the hotel easily during the day. The room was incredibly spacious. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the cathedral which made it very special. The bathroom was also spacious and beautiful. All in all it was one of our best stays while visiting Spain.

This is a thing in Spain, I think, because I encountered it in other hotels - no electrical plugs in the bathroom. So to use my hair straightener, I had to go in the hallway which had the nearest plug near a mirror. Not a big deal at all! Just a mention.

The location of this hotel was extremely good for access to the city centre and the main attractions of a very beautiful city. We asked for a ground floor disabled room which we were given, and we were impressed with the cleanliness and quality of the room and it's peacefulness. It was lovely to hear the occasional chime of the cathedral nearby. The hotel is dog friendly and the welcome pack for the dog was a nice touch, together with dog bowls and a dog bed. The underground parking was a bonus with lift access to the hotel rooms and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The toilet in the bathroom was very low for a person with mobility issues, considering it was for disabled use, and even though it had a frame around it, it was still difficult to manoeuvre on and off it. The room was quite hot at times and the air conditioning unit was not set for summer time. The room would have benefited from tea and coffee making facilities and a kettle.

Location is great, especially with a car. Feels like you are staying in a UNESCO World Heritage site. We had a second floor room with a small balcony that looked out onto the cathedral bell tower. Large spacious room, large bathroom. Quite classy. After some confusion about whether our room was ready (it was) and we were made to wait 20mins until our specified arrival time (so be careful with this - some hotels might use your estimated arrival time as a fixed thing which it isn't) another member of staff stepped in and all was sorted. That member of staff recommended 3 good restaurants and we ate at one of them, Cervantes in the Plaza Mayor. Great staff, atmosphere and food. Such a good visit we are considering popping back in on our way back home.

Loved the location, excellent for solo travelling, a quick walk into the main square. Great breakfast albeit a bit unusual not having everything laid out but ordering what you’d like, really lovely member of staff in the breakfast room Fabulous building next to the cathedral All staff were really friendly

In my room there were no tea/coffee facilities but if I upgraded to the next level apparently I could have them, that seems a bit mean along with the fact that there was no complimentary water, it will cost you €1.50 from your rooms mini bar. Parking is expensive but secure, I have found parking at all hotels in Spain very expensive.

Great location, easy access to sights and restaurants. We enjoyed the balcony for a glass of wine at night. The breakfast was served in the basement but was full of great options and variety.

Poor instructions about parking. Challenging to find the parking garage- it was very tight to get around corners. The address of the parking garage is different from the hotel. I walked to the hotel first to get the exact location. Call ahead to avoid that issue.

Sercotel Puerta de la Catedral is in a perfect location, across from the Cathedral and the bell tower (which we visited one morning before the crowds arrived) It is a lovely hotel with lovely staff. Our room overlooked the cathedral and another window looked out towards the river and beyond. Our companions’ room had a terrace where we could sit and admire the cathedral as well. Our room was large and airy - our friends had a smaller room (but they had the terrace!) and beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were good and everything was spotless. Breakfast was good with most things you might expect (although we’ve probably had better) and our friends found it very difficult to make a cup of tea - we know that’s not a popular beverage in Spain though.

The bar is quite small but we were able to order some glasses of wine to take to the terrace. I will reiterate about the breakfast tea but these are not big problems!
