We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! We were a group of six and booked three rooms. The location was excellent—central and convenient for everything we wanted to do. The staff overall was friendly and welcoming, but what truly made our experience exceptional was Laura at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, she went the extra mile—something that’s rare to find in hotels these days. When we had a small issue with one of the rooms, we offered to pay for an upgrade, but instead, she kindly upgraded us at no additional cost. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made us feel genuinely cared for. Throughout our stay, Laura continued to be incredibly helpful. She gave us fantastic daily recommendations for restaurants and places to visit, and was always available to assist us with anything we needed, no matter how small. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out. Thanks to her and the overall great service, we had an amazing experience. We’d gladly stay here again and highly recommend it! The hotel is located 5 bus stops from the center, but it is very close to Ondarreta beach, probably the best of all San Sebastian beaches with a fantastic seafront where to walk and beautiful gardens/fashion buildings on the back. From the hotel you can easily reach Peines del Viento and the Funicolar to Mount Igueldo from the top of which you have a breath taking view of all San Sebastian and its bay, including la Ilsa de santa Clara. You do not need to go to center to have lunch cause around the hotel there are several resteraunts, a fruit/vegetable shop and a great supermarket. Romm 406 is large, luminous and allows a good view including the sea between some trees and building..In addition the bathroom has a bidet, a rare facility outside of Italy. All the staff has been very kind and fiendly and provided us with all the information and help we needed. A special mention to the ladies of the reception and Nunzio, the guy who organized the breakfast room. In conclusion we loved our staying at Codina and loved our staying in San Sebastian.. Thanks. Pierluigi&Donatella

I would put a real shower in the bathroom and review the soundproofing of the windows. Nothing critical anyway.

We had upgraded to a superior double room which was large and well equipped. The views were fantastic with a wraparound balcony which if sunnier would have been a lovely place to sit or lie out. Parking was extra but easy and breakfast was good. I think other rooms might not have been as spacious. Some supermarkets and restaurants nearby but quite a walk into the old town so make use of the d’izi bikes docked nearby.

Although a walk of 1.5 miles to old town the location meant we were close to the funicular and the first of the three beaches. This suited us with a nice walk, run or cycle along the promenade into the rest of the town.

Booking last minute for the bank holiday weekend it was difficult to find places which were less expensive, perhaps with Sercotel Codina being in Antiguo it was less attractive to the tourists but for us the location was perfect and the price was very reasonable. The Antiguo beach was nicer than the other two beaches in San Sebastián in our opinion and it’s only either a 30 minute walk along the promenade or a €1.85 10 minute bus to San Sebastián, with the busses running into the early hours. The hotel was clean and well presented, beds quite comfortable and rooms air conditioned. We didn’t try the breakfast since there are lots of cafes in the area, overall we would strongly recommend it

The staff at the hotel was very helpful at Reception, all of them were very friendly and assisted us with parking, arranging taxi pick up, very patience at check in a lovely Argentinian lady as we were a family group with different rooms. The staff at the restaurant also very attentive and friendly, we got organized a table for all of us. The cleanliness of the rooms, corridors and general were spot on. Breakfast was good and had variety. Wifi worked, well, AC as well. The location of the hotel is unbeatable. Walking distance from Ondarreta beach, we loved it, also walking distance from Monte Igueldo. Plenty of restaurants nearby, amazing trattoria for families with kids, and bus stop outside to get to the old town. We had a fantastic stay at this hotel, totally recommend it!

We only found the scramble eggs at breakfast were dry and lumpy, that could improve. The double superior room were my sister stayed with her partner had scruffy blinds and should be replace, her room wasn't as well maintained as the other rooms we had. Also, not great that is located right next to the emergency exit, and has an emergency light on. That was the only thing.

We have stayed at this hotel many many times now over many years when we have come to San Sebastian Jazz festival. The hotel is really fine, the rooms very comfortable and good size, nice bathroom, air-con, etc. Also very a short walk to one beach and also the locality has some fine restaurants and bars, etc., plus it is very easy to walk to the old town in 15-20min or catch the bus (5mins). Great place to stay

The was no brush for cleaning the toilet..... perhaps people stole these in the past.....a bit odd

Was checked in by a great and super helpful reseptionist. She was very nice throughout our stay. We had a great spacious room with a view of the bay. Bedroom had available duvets. Aircondition worked well. Parking available. Breakfast was good. Short walk to beach and funicular. 30 minutts walk to old town.

Would be nice with available towels for beach. Expensive hotel- payed the double compared to the other hotels we stayed at on our trip, same standard. But guess that is San Sebastián:)

Estibelize was the best front desk host we've ever had at a property. Forget the guided tours, just ask Estibelize!...and she speaks excellent English and even taught us a bit of Basque. The location was excellent, with easy walking access to funicular, the beach, and a 15 minute beautiful walk down the famous promenade to Old Town. With very convenient bus stops right out the front door of the hotel, take the time to get an anonymous MUGI catd and the bus to costs less than $0.50/ride/person to anywhere in San Sebastian...including 7 minutes to Old Town! For Pintxos, just walk around the corner from the hotel and there are 2 local taverns with excellent food, reasonably priced for Pintxos and meals...plus famous Basque cheesecake show and Italian Troterria right across the street!

The room was small, but comfortable. Given the great location, this was fine.

Our room (703) was very good, with an exceptional sea view from the balcony. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly

Breakfast was poor. Fruit covered in small flies, Bacon virtually uncooked, and scrambled eggs dry. Seems that everything was prepared for the 6.30am start to breakfast, but by 8 or 8.30am it was not appetising. The girl supervising breakfast was very aggressive and would benefit from some training to deal with customers. The garage is tiny! not easy to park or to exit, and if there are more than three or four cars it must be nearly impossible

Solid, clean and modern hotel with good facilities. It is a bit farther away from Old Town, but has a beach close to it and the neighborhood around it is much more local and has its own character that many might miss if they stay closer to the city center. Service there was solid, I was helped and everything was smooth if I needed something. Usually only one person working the front desk so you might need to wait a bit to get some attention. I rented a beach towel for an afternoon and it was nice. Room was solid with a working AC and comfy bed.

Cafeteria/bar area has a very sterile look to it, almost like a hospital waiting room. I avoided it entirely.
