It’s a 2 star hotel, so before booking you don’t need to have high expectations. It’s located in the city centre, 10 mins walking from the beach where the port is and 13 minutes walk from the main beach. Walking around those “calles” is a pleasure. Right outside the hotel you have “mercado central” where you can buy anything you want regarding food. The room was small but comfortable and with a balcony. I want to thank all the people working there. The hotel staff is AMAZING. They help you so much and with a smile on their faces. Overall it’s been a good cheap hotel and I would book there again. Thank you.

What I didn’t like was the hotel facilities. I mean, I was expecting at least an air con in the room. During winter you sleep without feeling the heat but I would love to know how the people sleep in their room during summer without air con. Also, there was not even a small hair dryer, so make sure you bring your own one.

The whole place was very clean and tidy, cleaned daily and fresh white towels everyday. Perfect location as it's close to all the shops and restaurants. Lovely and helpful staff. Thank you so much for all the help.

I just love the Hotel Valencia. Built in 1973 during the height of the first wave of mass ‘Costas’ tourism, the Valencia just oozes that old school chic, currently being swept away by the race towards soulless bijou. A stay at the Hotel Valencia is a step back in time to period when a bidet was a puzzle? (You wash your feet in it, stupid!) The full-on retro experience but with the latest up to date facilities; all the toilets have benefited from a more recent makeover to meet modern standards and expectations. A welcome sensitive revamp without hollowing out the essential warmth and attraction of the place. The hotel is also managed and cared for with obvious love by the people who run it. Ok, if you’re into bling, botox and boutique hotels then the Valencia is probably not for you. But if you want a spotlessly clean place to stay, ten minutes east is the smaller usually deserted (we were there in January) Alcaravaneres city beach, two streets north is Avenue J M Lopez, the city’s Oxford Street with shops to match and fifteen minutes-walk west is the 2.5 km of Las Canteras beach; one of Europe’s finest city promenades and beaches. And directly opposite is the towns central market (Visit the astonishing fishmongers stalls). What a plum location! And all at a reasonable price. Ask for a room on the 4th floor. What you lose in room dimensions you more than gain with a huge terrace to sunbath on by day and enjoy a glass of vino tinto in the evening whilst listening to the burbling city. And in the wee small hours you can even hear the roar of the surf in the distance. Brilliant! These places are vanishing fast; I urge you to support the Valencia and keep it going!

Really kind reception and housekeeping staff!!

They been doing renovation, I had no clue about that cause I been just coming for the nights. Unfortunately when my fiance get out from hospital we stayed there during the day and there was really noisy and dusty. And actually after a surgery he shouldn’t stay with dust.

the window didn’t close fully, the main pictures of the venue are a bit misleading (pictures with floral wallpaper etc), overall it’s a bit outdated but in a good shape

Location is great, quiet and peaceful, great terrace, comfortable beds and great showers!

If the door shuts behind you with the key inside…you can’t enter, this might be a thing to address.

Spacious. Clean. 10 minutes from anywhere, beach, bus station, theatres...

Very little. Perhaps if they had a fridge and a kettle . Hard to beat as it is. Plenty of cafes all around everywhere.

The hotel is located in a very good location near the city and only a few meters from the beach, the staff was very friendly and in a very good mood. The hotel room was good, we didn't miss anything because we more or less just slept there 🙂 I recommend this hotel if you want to save money
