The location - very close to both the beach and to the shops and restaurants - is brilliant. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff pleasant. The shower and wash-basin controls were very good to use.

(1) The red and green lights inside/outside the room were unfamiliar and not explained to us - causing a little embarassment with the domestic staff one day when they said we had prevented them from cleaning the room. Needs explaining in the information supplied, or verbally. (2) The room description as having a "balcony" was very misleading - no room to actually sit outside on it and difficult to manage the door. (3) Only 1 chair to sit on

Occidental Las Canteras surpassed our expectations, the pictures on the website don’t show the beauty of the property, its design. The hotel was very clean and well kept, all the toiletries needed for our staying. Our room , a junior suite had a balcony and a window to the Atlantic, we had beautiful views at all times. The breakfast was awesome and a good way of beginning the day. I went to Las Palmas looking for my grandmother’s house, I couldn’t find it but I found in this hotel a family instead. Since the very first moment that we arrived we were greeted with the Canaria’s hospitality. Every body went the extra mile to help us have a great time on the island. We are very grateful to the girls in the reception, Eneida, Ana, and Paula and extremely grateful to Fran who would always listened to my requests and helped us a great deal. Kiara and Rosalia in the kitchen and our maid, whose name I don’t remember. We are planning to come back in March We are happy with our staying

That we couldn’t stay longer

Great location for a reasonable price. Breakfast would’ve been a 10/10 if the “warm” food would’ve been warm. Roof top bar was spot on! Booked a room that apparently had only one window facing the covered inner court yard which meant no daylight, and not possible to wash your hands in the toilet, had to do that in the “bedroom” and I find that a bit odd.. There was a “gym” big enough for maximum 2 people, maybe consider remove the thread mills and replace it with something else since most people do their cardio training along the beach iand the gym is located in the basement where there’s literally no ventilation. Overall a nice design, breakfast staff lovely and therefore all and all a 7/10 review.

Warm food not warm and no daylight in the room.

3 minute walk to the beach, 15 minute walk to the cruise terminal, 3 minutes to the Spar supermarket. The location is perfect and the staff is super nice. The room is big and the bed is comfortable. The view from the 7th floor rooftop terrace is great.

The gym is small but well stocked with weights if you like those types of workouts. The lever on my faucet was loose and came of the first time I turned on the water. It was easy enough to stick back on, and I told the front desk when I left. I am sure it will be taken care of.

No grab rails at the head of each side of the bed to facilitate transfer from wheelchair into bed. Windows in our room didn;t close perfectly so a lot of noise from the street. I accept it was in Carnival time. We were glad of having earplugs.

Good location close to beach and promenade but also only 10 minutes walk from bus station. Staff very efficient and helpful. Breakfast buffet very good.

Having the washbasin outside of the bathroom was a little frustrating and hotel information could have been provided in the room. It is on the corner of busy sidestreets with late night bars / takeaways so a little noise at night. Minor issues to be fair.

Breakfasts were wonderful, rhe staff very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and everything we needed was there. One receptionist went to the trouble of printing out bus times for us, which was very kind.

We would have liked to have a drink on the rooftop terrace but it was not open during the day. because the umbrellas were not up we could not sit there for long in the sun and that would have been pleasant.

Very good location, the hotel is new so infrastructure and accomodations are nice. They even have a small gym if you want to work out a bit. Staff are friendly, breakfast is good, wifi works well from the rooms.

I have asked since day one not to clean my room since I don't like people going in. They have a digital system where guests say if they want it to be cleaned or not and I said no everytime. Nonetheless, cleanning ladies went in three times to clean my room, even though I have also went downstairs and complained with the front desk four times with four different people. Their system does not work and they just clean everyone's room. Anyway, all staff told me they were sorry about that and I got a free breakfast as a compensation, this was the only stress of my stay.

Fantastic location. Lots of great restaurants nearby and 10-minute walking distance to the main bus station. Lovely staff who kindly offered compensation for inconveniences caused during my stay. They were the best part of my stay. :) Gracias!!

AC is off, and it can get quite hot in the room if you don’t keep the balcony door open, but they are working on it. Everything else was great!

The hotel is really close to the beach and the main promenade. It can be seen that it has been newly renovated. A pleasant bar on the roof with a nice view. Towels are available for guests to swim in the sea. The people at the reception are very helpful and friendly. A liter of drinking water awaited us every day. Very tasty breakfast buffet.

The only drawback is the remains of dirt behind the bathroom door and the air conditioner not working.
