We’ve stayed here before several times, as it’s in an ideal location. Very handy for San Telmo Bus Station where you can get buses all round the island, also city buses stop across the road. It’s also just a few minutes walk across the park to the historic quarter, which is the most interesting part of Las Palmas to visit. The hotel is efficiently run and very clean and comfortable. The rooms have all been refurbished very tastefully with good beds, excellent bathrooms and effective insulation from the busy street outside. Breakfast is served on the top floor and is a good combination of traditional Spanish fare plus hot dishes such as scrambled egg and bacon.

I have a couple of minor niggles: there are NO tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Why?? Although you can buy drinks in the cafe next door they have very restricted opening hours at weekends. Unbelievably the cafe ran out of tea bags while we were there! Must remember to bring my travel kettle with me next time. Also there is no furniture on the balconies so you can’t easily enjoy sitting outside, which is rather frustrating.

Wide selection of foods for breakfast including some local specialities. Great 6th floor view from breakfast room. Restaurant in same room open some evenings, but not the weekend. Room with balcony had great view overlooking park San Telmo. Good sound insulation when balcony door closed. Hotel is beside the bus station. Walking distance to all tourist attractions and plenty of restaurants. Safe area to walk around.

There is heavy traffic outside. The were the same two cheeses each day. Hotel parking is extremely limited but there is free onstreet parking on Sundays and reasonable rates otherwise. Check times which vary during the day - we got a parking ticket. Fines can be paid at the machine, €2 within 24 hours then €6.

The Hotel exceeded our expectations, a very good 3 Star in all aspects. We had a Junior suite on the 6 th floor with views over the Park. The rooms were spacious, we really appreciated the extra dressing space with Lounge seating and second TV. Reception staff were extremely polite, most helpful providing advice on how to travel by bus to various locations of interest. Breakfast was good with a choice of continental, hot cooked food, fruit etc. Well worth booking in advance saving Euro 3 per head each day. No need to hire a car from the Airport or pay for taxi. The number 60 Bus from the airport calls at Tema Park, in front of the Hotel at Euro 3.95 single fair, runnung at half hour intervals, even late at night, but check first. Tema Park and Bus Station is onlly 100 metres from the Hotel. From Tema Station you can travel most parts of the island very conveneiently. Euro10 travel card gives 20 rides within Las Palmas, great for day trips.

Honestley, this is a great budget hotel.

Fantastic room: large en-suite bathroom, very spacious, great wi-fi (free) and full of very possible facility. It's perfectly located to all of the sites, e.g., a 10-15 minute walk to the Old Town and close to plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. There's also a sizeable gym with reasonable equipment, which we used every morning. The hotel is great value for money and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

The breakfast would have been 10 out of 10! If you get there early there's a fantastic spread of options (beautiful breads, lots of different fruits, meats and fish and yoghurts. However if you arrive after 9.00am (we were in the gym for a workout each morning), there was hardly anything left (white bread, no yoghurts, no fruit) and the staff just shrugged and wouldn't offer to arrange to refresh and replenish the breakfast options. There was so many guests who arrived for breakfast after 9.00am and looked quizzically at the meagre amount of options available.

The location is excellent because the main bus station is adjacent, where buses for the whole city and island are available. It is close to Vegueta, the old town, and an easy bus ride to the city centre. The staff are friendly and helpful, we felt welcome. The young lady at reception was particularly helpful with information about the famous architect who designed the hotel, and his brother, the painter Nestor.

The breakfast is good, but could be improved by varying what is available from day to day. The bathroom basin plug did not work, so that it was impossible to have a basin of water for shaving. I reported this but it was not fixed. The lighting in the room was very fierce - the rooms need soft, bedside lamps. If we go there again we will take a couple with us! The televisions are very old, and difficult to connect to with a computer.

We wanted a long weekend away in Las Palmas, first visit, and wanted somewhere near the bus station. Sercohotel Parque was right next door, good reviews, so there we booked. First impressions very good, we were early but no problem, very friendly. We had a junior suite on second floor overlooking the park. Wonderful room, well worth the extra, so much space. Provided tea making facilities on request. Breakfast very good, nice atmosphere, well run. I've stayed in some fantastic hotels, but for the price I'd put the Parque well up my list - we'd not stay anywhere else in Las Palmas now!

Nothing we did not enjoy

Breakfast was fine with a lot of choice in most categories, but our main reason for choosing Sercotel was location, which was optimal for the season. The old town quarters are located a few 100ms away and the hub of the bus network (San Telmo) was located just outside the hotel, but mostly invisible as it is underground the park on the other side of the road on which the hotel stands. This provided easy access to other Las Palmas districts, e.g. the hotel-pub-restaurant-beach district to the north as well as the rest of the island.

A small hotel bar for a night cap would have been nice and the neighbourhood behind the hotel was not particularly interesting. I would hate to go looking for a parking spot in the vicinity of the hotel.

The location was perfect, near the old city centre, the main bus station and the ocean, all within waking distance. The staff was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The place was clean and all the amenities were functional. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was also clean, the provided shower gel and shampoo seemed of better quality comparing it to other hotels. They provided even toothbrush and toothpaste. The wifi was great, we could stream a tv show on our phone, and for entering and leaving the key card was very easy to use.

This was my first visit to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and I did not know what to expect staying in the city center. I can say that it was the best choice I cold have done as the Sercotel hotel Parque made my stay unforgettable. It was not only about the overall hotel`s quality, cleanliness and services but what I appreciated the most was the friendly, professional and kind attitude of the receptionist Elye, who was so great and helpful to me. The hotel offers a nice buffet breakfast served on the 6th floor overlooking the sea and the city center. So beautiful!! My room was great, newly renovated, very spacious. The best thing about the hotel was the gym facilities the hotel operated with. The gym size was just perfect for a quick morning workout with some free weights and couple of machines.

The location and the rooms were excellent. In addition the breakfasts were very rich- diffefent meats, salmon, bacon, eggs and various cheeses. There was always plenty of fruits- 4-5 different fruits. The staff was very kind and helpful. There is nearby bus station for many city busses and for the airpirt bus Nr. 60. The northwest beaches of LAs Palmas are 5-6 minutes drive from the hotel and by busses 1 and 12 -10 minutes. In front of the hotel is a nice park with a cafe and a big shopping street. There are many small restaurants and cafes around the hotel. I am strongly recommending the hotel and if we visit again Gran Canaria will chose it again.

The only unpleasant thing was that the conditioner was out of order 1 day but it was fixed.
