Check-in was really smooth and simple. I got in without much effort, though do note that you'll have to carry your suitcase up the stairs yourself! The bed and pillows were really comfortable, location was amazing (just a short walk from Atocha station), shower was great (I love when hot water comes out quickly and this one hit the mark).

I already knew this from the photos and the other reviews but just note that this is a SMALL room and you'd probably have issues fully opening a suitcase that is larger than a medium size. Also I wish there was hair conditioner in the shower - but I made do! I also wish it was a little more affordable per night, but I suppose it is relatively decent given the location and comfort.

Firstly, we really appreciate the help and the professional attitude of their staff. Congrats! We made the right choice about this hostal. (We were worried because it's not a hotel, we didn't know what hostal means) The room and bathroom were clean and well kept. We had a room with a window, a large bed, very comfortable. The location is excellent, in a good area for finding breakfast cafes, restaurants, easy to reach museums (Reina, Prado) on foot, close to the park, close to the railstation (for airport shuttle). We could always walk to reach our next objective. Access to the building and the room was done with a code. The also have a reception available until 5pm.

It's a hostal, so the rooms are smaller than at most hotels we've been. We had no problem with this, because we only carry backpacks. However, if we had carried large luggage, we wouldn't have place to store them. The walls of the room are a bit thinner I think, but we had quiet nights during our stay. So everything was just right.

The location was great. I could do everything from walking distance, and if I felt tired it was close by uber or any other means of transportation. The staff was really helpful and the support (when we needed about the password for the main door) was quick and gave us a feeling of safety (that they would be ready anytime if needed).

There was just a small thing about the bathroom (that I think it's an easy fix an I'm not sure it it's something cultural/if that's something I didn't know how to use). There is a curtain to close the bathroom box where the is a shower to take a bath (which is not so common where I live, or at least I'm not used to). That did not bothered me, but I didn't know if that was supposed to be inside or outside, so some water came down to the floor and entered the room a bit. That said, I would definetely stay at CC Atocha again.

It was quiet and clean. Bathroom is a little small but serves its purpose. It's central to some key parts of Madrid. It's close to train station but a 25 minute walk from bus station.

Lack of tourist information available due to limited reception hours. I found out on my last day that the 001 bus that takes you into the main centre is free. Would have saved me a lot of walking.

CC Atocha was a perfect location to explore the city of Madrid. The beautiful Parque del Buen Retiro was a 10 minute walk away, and there was a Metro station close by ( Estacion del Arte) for going further afield. The room itself was more than adequate - it was extremely clean and tidy ( free daily cleaning service available), with good shower, and air con. Check-out was not until midday, and we were allowed to then leave our luggage in reception until it was time to go to the airport. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. I would love to return to Madrid one day, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at CC Atocha again.

Our PERFECT HOTEL! We had a comfortable bed, a BEAUTIFUL SHOWER with instant on hot water, that had really great water pressure, beautiful plush towels and a functioning air conditioner. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

The keypad entry for the building and the hotel were loud enough to know that it accepted the entry but the room keypad was too quiet for me. I had to get someone else to enter the code because it wouldn’t always take on the first or second attempt and then it would lock you out.

The room was slightly more expensive than we would have wished for but it was clean and very comfortable, with all the facilities we needed (it was really nice to have a kettle in the room, the safe was also very useful). Very easy to check in online and to access the building / room using the keypads. The staff at reception were very friendly and accommodating (multilingual as well). Perfect location for the Atocha train station, the Prado museum and the Buen Retiro park. We would definitely consider staying there again.

The lighting system in the room was a little confusing. It would have been useful to have a separate light in the dark corner with the table and the high shelf.

It wasn’t noisy like other hostals, we got good rest. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. Easy to get in the building and room with the keypad. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Great location, walking distance to atocha station as well as metro. ( 3 stops from sol station) where we did all our shopping).

No luggage storage room, but the receptionist did help us and kept our bags near the receptionist for a few hours. There is no fridge in the room.

Great location, super convenient when traveling to or from Atocha train station. The lady on reception was lovely, and helped us both on the check in and check out days. The room we got was a more spacious one, it was clean and simple - all you need for a short stay. We loved how quiet it was and had a restful sleep.

The handing rack was above the desk so it made it a bit challenging to store things while using the desk. Having an additional drawer would be great.

We stayed at CC Atocha during the new year celebration, apparently all the accommodations during that period went sky-high. But I still find this one reasonable, also well located. It’s within half an hour walking distance from Sol, which was fantastic for an after celebration walk on the street. The property is quite small but clean and it got all we needed. It’s totally OK if your main activity is in the city instead of staying in the room or work. ;) Staff is amazing, super friendly and sweet :) Recommend if you are looking for a stay near by the train station.

A bit difficult in the process as the credit card info needs to be filled in on their platform but not directly through booking. So does their check-in system. However, if you come within the reception hours, you can definitely check in with the staff.
