It's in the heart of Madrid, right next to Gran Via Metro station. The room I had was small with a single but comfortable bed. The toilet was shared, but I had a shower in the room. I was very pleased to see a microwave and a small fridge in the room. There's also a fan and microwave. The host is very welcoming. They are also happy to keep your bags if you're departing Madrid after check-out.

Right in centre Madrid, great place for exploring the city. Neighbourhood felt safe. Room was totally fine - clean and comfortable.

It was slightly odd having a shower in the room but no toilet - but to be fair, this is what I signed up for. Shared toilet was just steps down the hall so it was no big deal. I have just never stayed anywhere with this configuration.

I loved Los Alpes! The location is perfect, right at Fuencarral and literally 1 minute walking from metro station Gran Vía, which is directly connected to Sol if you need to take the trains for Atocha, for example. The are is great, with all facilities you might need, and at walking distance basically for anywhere in Madrid. The staff and great and very lovely, the room and bathroom were always clean, and I positively surprised by the room. It's not huge, but has a great size for one person. Microwave and refrigerator were fantastic, along with the TV, the shower and sink, which gives you more privacy. The bed was comfortable also. I would definitely recommend Los Alpes and also stay there more times!

Just a note for people with mobility issues and huge suitcases: there is an elevator in the building, but you will still need to take small stairs to reach the hostal itself.

Great location, center, all attractions within walking distance. The most important convenience is the close stop of the express bus from and to the airport, the buses are excellent, a few people, on schedule, no need metro with 2-3 transfers. Room is very clean, housekeeping is impeccable. And there are excellent tapas bars nearby, in some they even give tapas for free with a drink! )

The strange behavior of the cleaning woman. I went to the toilet, she calls me from the other end of the corridor and comes up to me. She speaks Spanish, I answer that I don't understand, she continues to speak, pointing to the bath. Of course, I continue to not understand, she waves her hand at me and leaves. Is this normal cleaning woman behavior? I have only one version of what she wanted: not use the bathroom, because. I understood one Spanish word - room, that the shower is in the room. But there is no version, why not to use it, maybe I need a bath in the toilet at this moment, and not in the room. Write an ad then or give instructions during check in, but really the cleaning woman supposed to stop people going to the toilet and give a briefing in spanish?

Great location. Lots of amenities and little touches - candies and a satchel of instant coffee. Good wifi and a small table to work at. Nice and quiet. Would stay here again. Could come and go with little interaction with anyone.

Heating system made noise during the night (even though I don't think it was operating). Night lighting in room was a little too bright. Fourth floor was a minor inconvenience.

For the price and location, the room was more than enough! You even have a shower and a sink the room. It's near all the main objekts, so you can walk easily around.

There was no kitchen nor any kind of dishes, just one tea cup. So better to eat outside or pack some forks or spoons with you. But there was an electric kettle and little fridge, and even a microwawe.

Excellent value for money choice, especially for a solo traveller, combining: - great location, in the heart of the city - comfort, with a very good mattress and all facilities that one might need (e.g. refrigerator, TV, AC, etc.) - cleanliness, since the room is being cleaned up on a daily basis

The room was very cozy, small, but had everything we needed. They had instant coffee, green tea, and small muffins in the kitchen. A small desk with a chair, large mirror, a wardrobe, a bathroom with shower, sink, and shelves. Well lit even though it was an interior room.

Very central location, easy to find, close to the metro station, with friendly staff and good value for money.

The towels could be cleaner. There was some noise during the night, probably because of the location of the hostal. Also, there was some problem with the a/c but we didn't need it, so we didn't ask for it to be fixed.

The location is excellent. Very central. The place was super clean. Fresh smell in the bed shit. Staff is super friendly. I love that we could connect Netflix on the Tv and that there was a mini fridge/ kettle and microwave in the room.

There was no option for a cot and even though there is a lift, still there are stairs to access the rooms which could be a problem for people with reduced mobility.
