A very comfortable, converted - and relocated - Spanish aristocratic palace. Not our first stay. Beautiful views and surroundings, comfortable rooms. We slept very well! The staff are friendly and accommodating. A delicious and copious breakfast! I also noticed that although the hotel was quite busy, the atmosphere didn't feel like it was. Staff had time for us and everything was relaxed.

There was nothing I didn't like. I would say some things I'd improve: the bathrooms need a refresh, the big old-fashioned sinks are positioned for larger people, and average or petite women might find them difficult. The shower controls were difficult to master. All very minor points

They are trying to cater for all your needs. Rooms smell nice and balconies are private.

Things that are not necessary. Like new towel everyday. Could be more economic and leave towels on floor if you require a clean one. Don’t need dog bed. Would always use my own for my dog. Could be a few spare if needed. Would prefer outside pool and sitting area with this. Too much area given over to eating and dinning. And would be nice to have a lounge bar area with possibly of this outside but within the atmosphere of the property. Not a separate lounge.

We liked the Hotel very much. We had driven across Spain so were later arriving than we had hoped. We had difficulty finding the Hotel as we had not received their final email giving us more information and directions. We stopped several times to enquire where the Hotel was exactly and finally spoke to someone who actually knew of the Hotel and location.

Our problem was finding the Hotel as we had not received further information or telephone number for the Hotel and had trouble with our car satnav information. Now we have all the information we will be able to find it easily!

The location is great,and the made out business trip is very convenient. Rooms are large and have all amenities you would expect from this category. The garden and facilities outside of the buildings for the guests are also very nice and very well planned. The parking is good and close to the main building. The restaurant offers very tasty and variable menu items. During the day you always find some finger food and sandwiches which is a great addition.

In my opinion the selection at the breakfast could be more wider and variable for the five nights we have been there It was a bit repetitive.

It's a great hotel. The location is perfect, close to city and airport, but it's also easy to reach other sights around Bilbao. The beds are comfy and the room big, as was the bathroom. We had some noise from the neighbours but the staff dealt with this in the best way. They were very friendly and also helped out with other questions. Breakfast was fine; a few more healthy options would have been nice.

The restaurant in the hotel is quite bad. Overpriced and bad quality, and the man serving us was rude and disinterested. Note that this is doesn't apply to the breakfast, which is served in the same place!

A proper and efficiently run hotel with friendly staff. Large, well appointed room with terrace - the room was spotlessly clean. Slightly limited dinner menu (we were staying 6 nights!) but the quality was exceptionally good, especially the tenderloin steak. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Dog friendly, provision of dog bowl, bed and plenty of spoiling from the staff. Located to give easy access to and explore the coast, Bilbao and Santander.

Lovely hotel and very pet friendly. Food was great in the bistro and dogs were allowed in the bistro. Lovely surroundings and nice to walk around. Staff very helpful and friendly and rooms comfortable and big.

Price for dog’s experience approx €27 each per night so for our two small dogs that made an additional €54 - but on the up side they were allowed in the bistro bar.

Room and bathroom were great size . Room 209 had a great verandah with a fabulous view. Bar & restaurant were very good. Food menu is small but excellent standard and reasonably priced. Enjoyed the pool on a hot day.Staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. Great stay.

Although it's a large country house there is absolutely no space to walk outside of the building. The outside area consists of carparks & golf course. Very limited availability of outside terrace seating.

Breakfast is great and till 10.30. Realy good carrot cake but also fresh fruit (and orange juice!) and good tea. Bread is the best bread we ever ate in Europe. People who are helping at breakfast are very friendly and helpful. People who clean the room are not only quick but also clean very well! Nice swimming pool where you can sit outside in the shade or inside near the swimming pool. I only swam twice but I had the swimming pool all to myself. We were allowed to put our roof box in the storage space for suitcases. Nice ambiance in the hotel and very spacious room with sweet terrace. Nice to have a small refrigerator. Good airco.

Perhaps the small pots you have to fill yourself might be slightly bigger. But I drink a lot of tea. On the other hand the brand of tea is really good.
