This is the second time I've stayed here. The location is excellent and the rooms are a good size. The beds are really comfy too. It has a mini fridge/mini bar which was not ridiculously priced plus we could use the mini fridge to store a few things overnight. The breakfast is great with plenty of options. The bar in the lobby is very handy too for drinks and snacks if you are too tired to go out although it would be a shame to miss out on exploring the city at night if you are able to. You can walk to most places (the Alhondiga is less than a 5 minute walk and the Guggenheim is 15 mins at most). You can walk to the old town as well or jump on a tram or take a short taxi ride there. There is a handy taxi rank just outside the hotel and we were able to get a taxi to the airport very quickly the next morning.

No negatives from me

The location was totally fine — Bilbao is compact enough to explore on foot, so we never had any issues getting around from the hotel. The room was really spacious, as was the bathroom, and one thing that stood out was how incredibly quiet everything was. We didn’t hear a single sound from the corridor or from outside, which made for a very relaxing stay.

The price per night felt a bit steep considering it was March (low season) and there were no additional services or perks included. While the comfort was definitely there, the value for money wasn’t exactly what we were hoping for.

It was convenient to everything shops, restaurants and bars.

There were no negatives about the property. However Booking.com said we would have free taxi transfers to and from the airport. We got a really nice one to the hotel on arrival in Bilbao but at the end of our stay a week later we were not able to book one the night before our return to the airport for our flight home. When I tried to contact Booking.com the email they gave was incorrect. The taxi service we had used on arrival were unable to facilitate us so we had to pay over €30 to another firm. We were very annoyed.

I liked very much the stuff that was working at the hotel, they were very nice and I am grateful about it because it makes the stay better. I liked very much the gym because it’s quite small but it has all you need, the good thing is you can do a reservation. I didn’t taste the food but my parents did and it had a great looking, my parents said that it was very good the taste and the price was normal, not so expensive. And the bedrooms were very clean, thanks for the persons that cleaned so well. There are a lot of more things but that’s much of it.

I liked all, I will go again if a travel again to Bilbao. The only thing that I think that can be better is putting a watch in the gym and a webcam if anything happens to have a control.

The room was big, the bed was comfortable and there was a big window with proper shades. The bathroom was also spacious, with a toilet, bidet and a big shower. It was clean. Sockets placed comfortably by the bed. The area was quiet and well-comunicated, however bear in mind that it is a 20 minute walk to the musem or the old town.

Despite a visible "no smoking" sign, I could feel that someone evidently didn't adhere to the rules and the room has soaked up the cigarette smell. The room showed some signs of use - slightly scraped doors and ventilators, dotted walls. The bathroom door was hard to open. My biggest issue would be that I could hear everything going on in the corridor and bathroom pipes made strange random noises at night. Also cleaning crew started cleaning just after 9 am, which resulted in an awkward sleepy meeting on the first day.

The hotel holds a great and safe location, since it's a walking distance from everything! Just outside the hotel you can find taxi 24/7, Indautxu metro station is just a 2' walk, while Bilbao bus station (much recommended for daily trips to other close cities) is in less than 1km walking distance. Restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, markets are located just in the next block. It's also very close to main shopping area. Breakfast was perfect, having several good quality options to cover all possible tastes. The hotel has also a good restaurant and a bar in case you prefer to stay in. Personnel was polite and helpful. Our room was very spacious and quiet, with a huge bath. Fresh towels and sheets were changed every day, cleaning wasn't excellent but at a quite reasonable level. To sum up, putting everything under consideration, our stay was definitely a value of money and will 100% choose again Silken Hotel Indautxu next time we visit Bilbao!

Wifi was rather poor, slow and disconnected several times. Part of the furniture could be rennovated.

Loved the visuals when we walked into the reception area. Beautiful staircase. Receptionist was polite with no eye contact. No information was given to us about where all the amenities were in the hotel. Room cleaned everyday.

Service and food on the bar was extremely bad on Saturday night. Food leaving the kitchen went through 3 lots of people before it came to the table. Tables should be numbered so food goes directly to them. Saw several couples leave the bar they were waiting over an hour for their food. None of the staff seemed happy in their job. 4 star it certainly is not.

We had a wonderful stay at [Hotel Name] in Bilbao. The hotel was very clean, with well-maintained rooms and fresh linens. The staff was friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth and answering any questions we had. The location was excellent, close to major attractions, restaurants, and public transport, making it easy to explore the city. Despite being central, the hotel was quiet and comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Overall, a great choice for anyone visiting Bilbao. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was centrally located in a nice area. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar with good food and well-priced. Front staff was friendly and helpful too.

This hotel has an exercise room that apparently you need to make reservations. That alone deterred me from using it because I didn't know when I was free to go and exercise. Also, I didn't like that there is no pool or hot tub in the hotel.

Nice hotel in a good location. The staff was ok, they were willing to accommodate us earlier and helped us when we needed something. There are different reviews of the rooms, but we got a super Comfort room number 310. A spacious room with comfortable beds, enough space for clothes, with good lighting and a TV with international channels. The thick dark blackout curtains that didn't let in any light were also a positive. A big advantage is the door in the corridor between the bathroom/entrance door and the room, which absorbs all the noise from the main corridor. The bathroom was also excellent, spacious with a comfortable shower. The breakfast was very tasty and varied. From scrambled eggs to fried eggs, sausages, jamon iberico, chorizo ​​iberico, various hams and cheeses, toasts to jams and cakes and very tasty pastries. There was even fresh orange juice, currants and blueberries on offer.

There were also a couple of minor flaws, but they were not significant: the bedroom door was a little creaking, the exhaust in the bathroom was not turned on, a little noise from outside due to the nearby construction works, and mustard and ketchup could be available at breakfast (I had to ask for them every morning from the staff).
