Very good central location. Very good stuff. Nice personalized welcome letter. Well organized hostel. The security cameras covering the kitchen and all the corridors made me feel safe as if something bad happens they can check the recordings.

Some of the doors in the showers did not shut completely such that a little gap was left open. And also the one I used the most had to be a little bit forced to be locked. The ventilation in the toilets can be improved for better air quality in the toilets. Also, very inconvenient are the locks on the lockers. Only a certain size of padlock can be used. If the padlock is too big or too small it cannot be used on those particular locks. I did not like in particular the long flight of stairs leading down to the hostel as it is situated below street level. It is rather steep and I was always concerned that I might slip going down and seriously injure myself.

The localization of the hostel is just incredible, close to the metro, you can walk to the central station and very safe! The neighborhood is very calm and you do have some bar and restaurant options. The hostel was also very clean and check in/check out, even if you don'y have any human interaction, works very well.

The bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was very bad, it was clearly worn out and I didn't have a good night's sleep. I also felt the hostel didn't have a soul, it's just a place to go and sleep, no activity to integrate guests (example, we had the Champions League final going on and there was no action inside the hostel or anyone at reception to ask where to watch the game).

The room was clean, comfortable and perfect for a pair that like to get up and go. The facilities were spacious and clean. Showers were warm, a hairdryer is provided within the shower room and plenty of sink space. Location was perfect, 10 minute walk to Central, Central metro as well as the train station for airport access (from central you can pretty much go anywhere around Stockholm easily). Shops and cafe’s dotted around close by and I would definitely stay here again. All you need for a short weekend stay if you very much like to get up early, head out and keep it as a base!!

It was my second time staying here and it was as good as the last time! The room, WC/bathroom ja shower room were all very clean. My single room was bigger than I expected from the pictures! Check in was very easy - just find your room key in an envelope and for check out drop the key into a letterbox. I like that the shower rooms were private and also I had two single toilets right behind my door (room 9). The hostel has free bed sheets. Good location for using metro and a short (10-15 min) walk to the hostel.

A steep staircase to get to the reception - if you have huge suitcases its not the best nor safest option. Take towels and slippers with you (hostel does not provide them for free). I wish there was an actual outlet next to the bed for fast charging adapter, because the charger port on the bed lamp was quite slow.

friendly, helpful staff, large well-stocked and clean kitchen (kettle, microwave, oven, 2 fridges, plenty of pots and pans). bathrooms appear to be cleaned fairly regularly. spacious lockers in rooms. this is my second time staying at this hostel and i'd really recommend it! very affordable as well. the bunk beds would creak a fair bit but i found them very comfortable. if i'm ever in stockholm again, i would definitely stay here. brilliant location! public transport-wise you are a couple mins walk from rådhuset metro station, there's a bus stop outside the hostel, and you are 15 minutes' walk from t-centralen for access to the commuter rail (if you don't go via rådhuset for whatever reason). 7-eleven next door, coop round the corner, ICA kvantum and apotek/pharmacy across the street, with another discount supermarket a 10 minute walk down fleminggatan. not to mention a vast amount of restaurants if you're eating out

the showers could have been cleaned a little more frequently - there was often a lot of hair build up in the drains :( but i may have just been unlucky in when i chose to shower

Overall a decent experience. The hostel is located a few minutes from the central station which made it easy to arrive late at night. The self check in was also pretty easy. Rooms are comfy abd quiet.

The rooms are on a lower floor so there's not a lot of light during the day. The worst part was their key system. You get a tag that opens your door, but if you wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom outside the room and you accidentally forget your tag and your phone you're basically stuck outside. Horrible horrible idea.

Very simple and clean room. Good wifi. Big and comfortable kitchen. Nice people. Good value for price. Not very far to go to Oldtown by walk.

For me it is no problem, but if you are claustrofobic, pay attention that whole hostel is in the basement. I don't know about other rooms but there is no window in my room. Showers need repair. I almost did not see staff but at check-in time receptionist did not explain where is kitchen and bathrooms. It should not be "find by yourself". But girl was polite. Walls are very thin and you can hear everything what outside your room. It is January now and heater was not so hot as supposed to be even on the max heating. It was cold in room.

I honestly can’t say too much about the place, as I’ve checked in there super late (around 11pm), and left around 8am, so I was there basically only to sleep and rest. The dormitory room was rather small, but had everything you needed—large lockers, sockets, comfortable bed, a reading lamp, a small basket next to your bed for your belongings. Really nice! The location is super good, around 10min walk from the central station. You can check in whenever you want, as the envelope with your name on it will wait for you upon your arrival. I call it convenient.

I had a brief overnight stay at City Hostel in Stockholm, and I truly wished I could have stayed longer. The location is perfect—central and easily accessible, making it ideal for exploring the city. The facilities are excellent, clean, and very well-maintained. Everything about the hostel made my short stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely choose to stay here again and highly recommend City Hostel to anyone visiting Stockholm.

Everything about City Hostel was great.. I just wish the bathrooms had a bidet!

We stayed at this hostel for 3 nights with my sister, and we absolutely loved everything from the very beginning. The friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and made us feel welcome. The cleanliness and organization of the hostel were impeccable. The main important things is the location, in the center , so you can reach everything easily. Metro in 6 min. We also really enjoyed the board games, which brought all the guests together into one friendly and lively company. It felt like a home away from home.
