This is a modern, friendly hostel with lots of space to sit and hang out in the lobby, and a bar with coffee, soft drinks, beer, and wine. Coffee was good! You use a keycard to access both the door to your floor and your room. My 6-bed dorm room was well-organized with enough space. The en-suite bathroom had a shower with great water pressure, although it wasn't easy to clean the floor with the tool provided. Overhead lamps on every bed, with good isolation so you didn't bother other roommates. I liked that my room had multiple mirrors, lots of coat hooks, and a bench to store shoes under and sit on while putting on shoes. About 10 minutes walk to main train station and another 10 minutes to nearest grocery store (7-11 across the street).

You put sheets on yourself, but this was challenging on top bunks. Also, it took me five minutes to find the overhead light because it was blocked within the space of another person's bunkbed. I thought there was no overhead light and used my phone to navigate the room at night 🙈 You're technically not allowed to eat your own food outside of your room, since the hostel has an attached restaurant and bar.

The location is very good. It is easily accessible without using any public transportation and you can go to the tourist spots of the city on foot. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They were thoughtful enough to ask if I had a comfortable stay . Shared toilets and bathrooms for the floor, are very clean. And to have a bathroom in your room is a plus. The rooms are big enough, and comfortable. Only when you sleep on the top bunk in the room, you can hear the ventilation noise. If it bothers you, tell the reception that you want a lower bunk bed and they will help you. I strongly recommend to stay here.

This was the first hostel I ever stayed at. I had a private room far from any noise. It was fun to be among vibrant, young people. Everyone was super friendly and approachable. I would happily stay there again. The location five minutes' walk from the central station was excellent. Breakfast was a bit sparse but fairly priced. The bed was huge and super comfortable. The mattress offered firm support but was not hard.

The bathroom in my room smelled of drains / sewer gas -- whatever it was, it was a sour smell that lingered in the air constantly for the two nights I spent there. I hope they sort this out because it was unpleasant, though if I shut the door, it did not come into the room itself. The other thing I did not like was that as soon as you check out, you no longer have access to the wifi. That felt mean and cheap. They could easily have left the access open for an hour or two, so a guest could check out and still sit in the bar with a coffee and wifi access. The 10 a.m. check out time also felt a bit mean. 11 would have made a big difference.

The location is great. It's 5 min by foot from Citycentralen so you can catch a bus or train to airport. All the shops are nearby. Takes 20 min by foot to Gamla Stan. It has a 7/11 right in front of it if you need a snack or water or something to eat. Checked in with Tindra from reception and she was really nice and welcoming.

In 4 nights I was there the bathroom in the female dormitory wasn't cleaned once which is very concerning seen that there are 6 beds with people who come and go everyday. The bathroom is implanted in middle of the room and you can hear everything happening inside. Zero privacy in there which means you can't take a shower after 8 pm because you'll disturb other guests.

Great location, close to the central station and walkable distance to all main attractions. Inalso appreciated the option of renting a bike.

Having a curtain for the beds would be nice to add more privacy and peace, especially if you’re on the upper bed. It would also be good if there would be more space to put things around the bed. Blessing and a curse is that there’s no cut off for check-in, so if you arrive later it’s no issue but then it can also happen people are arriving to your room at 1 or 2am as it happened to me.

Very well situated and close to everything. The staff were fantastic and so friendly! We were there for a birthday and the barman helped us with what the best clubs and bars to go to were and got us onto the guest lists, amazing. The lady working on the later shifts in the reception was also great and so friendly! Free table tennis was good and having a pool table too. The bar was really funky and modern. For the money, you can’t go wrong. Breakfast was great and so was the dinner. We had a family room which although pretty basic, had all the essentials we needed for 3 of us and a private bathroom.

Only a couple of things, the main bar closed for a couple of days for works to be carried out, can’t be helped but the reception area and bar was open so all good. The pool table has a mad lean on it, maybe a few beer mats under one of the feet would level it out ;)

I had an amazing stay at Generator hostel. I came from Copenhagen by Flixbus and it was a convenient 10-minute walk from the bus station to the hostel. My checkin was supposed to be at 2pm but I arrived there at 9 am and the person at the reception was kind enough to let have an early checkin and go up to the bedroom to rest a bit. The location was fantastic, allowing me to walk everywhere in the center. The bedroom bathroom was clean and tidy. It didn’t have a hairdryer but you can borrow one at the reception if you need it. Breakfast is available at the cost of 9 euros, which is a great deal for Stockholm. I love eating where I’m staying so I can explore the city without worrying about breakfast, and this was perfect. I’d say this place is great for all types of travelers—solo, families, groups of friends…

Not a dealbreaker but it could have more common showers outside of the bedrooms in case you can’t or don’t want to use the ones inside.

It was exactly like in the images so we were pleasantly surprised. The beds were confortable and the bathroom very clean. Also was surprisingly quiet. We could not hear noise from out the rooms and were lucky to share the room with 4 other guests that were very considerate when leaving and coming. All in all a great experience. The bonus is the location. This was super close to city and walking distance to most places.

The only comment here is the metal hanging lock below the beds. I would have appreciated another form for closing since this system was very very noise, no matter how careful people were trying to be. Guests came and left at ramdon times and this is the one noise that was uncomfortable when another design would have avoided this.

This place was a lifesaver as I'd arrived in Stockholm at midnight and gone to a hotel I had booked (Avanti Apartment Hotel) and immediatly left that palce as it was horrible with bugs on the bed! So I found myself having to find somewhere else to stay while travelling back into the city centre on a night bus at 1am. I walked into Generator shortly after and they had my booking and checked me in seemlessly, bunk already prepared in the room. I was in a 4 bunk room, the room was a decent size and had plenty of space for everyone. Room was clean and all bunks had decent accompanying storage space. Lively bar and common areas downstairs and a great location for exploring the city.

Everything was way better than I expected! The (4-person) room was clean and spacious, you have great storage space (bring a bigger padlock for extra safety if you want), you get your own bathroom, free Wi-Fi, breakfast was amazing (and cheaper than going elsewhere!), the staff was super helpful and always available, the roommates were great, there's lots of events in the evening if you decide to stay in, the vibes were cool and homey at the same time. Excellent prices for an amazing service! I'm honestly thinking of coming back again!

I'm a big guy, so the bunk bed was just a tiny bit short! For most people this shouldn't be a problem. The only other nit-pick I can think of, I guess, is that it takes 10 minutes of walking to the closest metro station (T-Central) and then you probably need 10 more minutes at the station itself to get to the line you want, but that's not a big issue. No proper complaints, really.
