This is a lovely hotel with a lot of history located in a very pretty location. The hotel is in excellent condition and contains many interesting historical photos and artworks. The staff were excellent and friendly and the breakfast was excellent with many local ingredients. I would happily stay here again. The shared bathroom facilities for our room were very clean. We enjoyed taking the bus to and from the other villages in the valley and for dinners. The guestcard includes many things such as unlimited bus and cablecar use and the valley's museum.

Our room was on the top floor (a cheaper room) and had quite restricted headroom, but it was OK.

I really enjoyed my stay. We arrived late after the kitchen had closed but we’re still offered a delicious platter of local meats and cheeses washed down with an excellent local white wine. ‘From the highest vineyard in Europe’. Excellent relaxing sleep in a room in the attic space (top floor) followed by an excellent breakfast of excellent breads, muesli, yoghurts and other fresh produce. Well done. Oh and my dog was welcome, although zurich had to carry him up as he’s not to great on stairs anymore :)

Lovely hotel, the food at the restaurant is delicious, the rooms are very comfy and the hotel crew is very nice. Perfect place to sleep for a few days !

Wonderful family run hotel! Really enjoyed our stay and warmth with which Esther welcomed us. The food served in the restaurant by the Chef Laurent was extremely good, also good selection of local wines. Highly recommended it!

it’s expensive to dine at the hotel restaurant. I don’t mean that it isn’t worth it if money is not a big issue.

We loved the place, we were looking for quiet / relaxing and out of the crowd for the holiday season and it's exactly what we've got there. Fantastic walks straight from the hotel and amazing chef cooking nice plates for us (take half-board if you don't want having to take car each time to go to other restaurants in the other towns of the valley).

Weren't really lucky with the weather but it was lovely anyway.

Location is fabulous; staff are great; hotel rooms modern, very comfortable and clean; restaurant is great, with good and adventurous menus.
