I had a wonderful stay at ibis Genève Gare! The location is excellent—just a short walk from the main train station, making it super convenient for travelers. It’s also close to public transport, restaurants, and key attractions in Geneva. The breakfast was good. I especially appreciated the quick and hassle-free checkout process, which saved time and made my departure smooth. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the room size was ok. Overall, a great value stay in the heart of Geneva. Highly recommended for both short and long stays!

Check-in was a bit slow, and one of our rooms was noticeably smaller than the other. The bathroom felt a bit cramped, and the beds weren't very comfortable—especially at the corners. At breakfast, while the options were good, items like sautéed vegetables and pancakes weren’t refilled quickly. Just a few things to improve for an otherwise convenient stay.

My wife and I flew into Geneva, and used the frequent train service from the airport to the central train station. The Ibis was an easy walk from the station, and was near to places we had planned to visit in Geneva. We had planned to leave our luggage with the front desk staff, but were instead allowed to check into a room early {before noon}. This was exceptionally nice for us after a transatlantic flight and changeover at the loathsome CDG airport. Our room was small, but freshly renovated in modern style that is characteristic of other Ibis hotels we have stayed in. The hotel had a small but nice common area, and the provided buffet breakfast following our night of rest was quite good. Colds drinks, including beer, were available from a refrigerator in the lobby, and coffee was available for the taking. Geneva has a walkable central area that has an upscale feel about it. The bath, with a shower, was small but nice. Our room was next to the elevator, but we did not notice noise from its operation or from outside. As indicated, the desk staff were very nice and helpful.

The room was a bit dark, but this was not a problem for us.

The design of the room is very well done. My room was located at the fifth floor what I liked very much. Overall it is rather quiet in the hotel. The hotel is very well situated, very close to the railway station as the name of the hotel already anticipates.

Breakfast is much too expensive. I found twice a long hair at a towel and one upon arrival on the edge of the shower. The housekeeping lady has to take better control of her hair.

It offered a room for 3 adults, which was what we needed. Most other properties only allowed 2 persons so we would have had to get 2 rooms. We also liked the proximity to the Central train station since we were catching an early train the following morning. The room was spacious enough for the 3 of us.

The neighbourhood didn’t seems as safe as others but it was still fine and not really an issue since we were 3 persons.

Good Hotel, close to town, public transport and shops. Breakfast was good too with lots of choices.

Not able to eat my takeout in the dining area on the ground floor. Most hotels allow you to use their facilities ( this area was not a restaurant, only used for breakfast) to avoid people eating messy takeout in the bedroom.

The gentlemen at the reception were very supportive, cooperative and polite who never hesitated to assist me. I highly appreciate their professionalism.

The cut off of the lift which pushed us to change the bigger room I booked at the sixth floor to a smaller room at the first floor

Very helpful staff. Got us a kettle and someone actually came to make it work at late at night and when it didn’t work they showed us where hot water was. Room was a bit tight but en-suite which was great and the bathroom with the toilet was reasonably spacious. They stored our luggage well during the day and it was easy to collect it. The facilities were clean and the decor was good. Location is also great. Walking distance to the main train station and a direct tram to UN offices.

Room was a bit cramped.

1. Location was very good close to the railway station. 2. Staff were able to answer any questions. 3. Staff were able to provide resources if required. 4. Room was very clean and the window shutters were excellent at keeping out the early morning sunlight

1. USB port did not work in the room. 2. No Tea making facilities in the room, which was disappointing for the money spent per night. 3. Hotel did not provide any free tea or coffee unlike a similar Ibis hotel in Zurich.

The central location was amazing!!! It is a quick easy bus journey from the airport, about 25 minutes. Then for us, it was a lovely 10 minute walk to the lake where the Christmas market is located! Was amazing. They also gave us transport cards to give us free transport around Geneva!

Welcoming & friendly staff. Hotel felt very cosy and personal. Rooms warm, clean, excellent shower. Location of hotel good to access city, lake and old town as well as links out of the city via public transport. Delicious breakfast and lovely coffee.
