Wow we stayed in the suite on the second floor and the views were spectacular. The apartment was spotless and had excellent facilities . Beds so comfy and staff were friendly and helpful . Breakfasts really good with plenty of choice. Really lovely hotel

Getting from the train station with bags on foot is impossible and even without bags it’s a hell of a steep walk at the end of a long day . Hergiswil excellent for transport to all local attractions and were happy to walk down there every day catching trains easily to many places; but getting from the train station back to the to the hotel is difficult . There is a little free bus once an hour until 9pm but you still have an uphill walk from the nearest stop . Taxi’s are not easy to get although we did ring the hotel when we needed one and they were happy to arrange . I think if the hotel could offer pick up / drop off services themselves to and from the station that would be good

The view was stupendous!! This was the best part of staying here. We had a large balcony with chaise lounge which was nice for sun bathing. This was an apartment and had a lot of room. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was about a 7.5. The shower was good. It had a full kitchen. The restaurant attached to the hotel was very good and had good service-very nice staff.

The maintenance seemed a little off. The hairdryer was clogged with lint, which I cleaned out. But the hair dryer had a short in the wiring, causing the dryer to work only if held a certain way, and heated up the wire. I wiped some water up on the floor and the paper towel was filthy, so the floor was not clean. The coffee maker was really nice, but it kept beeping like it was in need of servicing. The staff we met were nice, but you had to ring for service and we never saw anyone again until check out.

Wonderful hotel with a beautiful view! Excellent location to be able to experience central Switzerland. Lovely restaurant (top rated in Hergiswil) with great breakfast and exceptional dinner menu. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice coffee/tea bar on the 3rd floor - we loved drinking out morning coffee overlooking lake Lucerne!

The only negative is that the hotel is a little difficult to get to if walking from the Hergiswil NW train station (which is the closest station)..I would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues not renting a vehicle. I would also recommend that if you don't rent a vehicle, arrange for a car or taxi for your day of check-in so that you do not need to take your luggage up the steep hike. It is doable when leaving/going down hill.

The view of the room met our expectation as we could view the mountain Piltaus which we're aware our room does not have the lake view. At the same time, the breakfast was great with lots of varieties. The water/coffee corner on the 3/F was definitely a bonus. We loved the stay from the beginning to the end and would like to especially thanks to Lea who took care of our check in and booked us a nice table for dinner in the hotel's restaurant. She always carried a smile which made us felt welcomed and pleasant.

The air conditioning was by means of a standing mobile air conditioner which was a bit noisy. As we're there in July and air conditioning would be ideal though the breeze at night was good.

Great location, extremely kind staff everywhere. Comfortable and clean room. Breakfast was great also.

Location was beautiful, with a view of the lake. Room was big enough for 2 adults and 1 child, bathroom is spacious.

Noisy heater in the room. Breakfast options are few but not bad.

Roggerli was a lovely stop on our tour of Switzerland. We booked a room with balcony and lake view - it was outstanding. The room was spacious, and the balcony much larger than expected. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was lovely. Dining room also over looks the lake. We had dinner in the restaurant and food was lovely. If we visit this area again, we will definitely book Hotel Roggerli.

The place was wonderful with an exceptional view. We stayed at the suite which was amazing of course at cost which totally worth it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and the chef was available to assist.

The access to the hotel was not easy if you are not travelling with your car or taking taxi from the train station. There are 2 local busses (red and blue) not very frequent and for some reasons the Google Map did not recommend them to us. (Google map to be blamed not the hotel :D).

Free coffee, water, and tea……. But we didn’t make use of it. Very kind, good-looking and hard-working Staff.

The lighting in the bathroom was one of the worst. I have experienced my entire life. The Hotel really needs to renovate this lighting part. Two single beds instead of one double bed. Breakfast was too late for us around 8 AM. Breakfast section looked almost empty & we were a little surprised ….. but luckily there was somebody who was taking orders for egg preparation and preparing eggs for us the way we wanted. Breakfast was Not exorbitant but sufficient. We requested for an electric fan and they gave us one which hardly gave out any breeze, but at least something was better than nothing.

The restaurant was amazing with a great view. The room was cozy. Staff was excellent. It wasn't easy to find and we had to walk a few blocks from the bus. One of their Staff happened to be on that bus. He guided us and helped my wife with her luggage for at least 3-4 blocks. Very lucky, too, as the moment we walked into the hotel, it started to hail. He was our angel!!!❤️

It was a long distance from the train. Thankfully, after calling the hotel they told us about a free bus service that took us much closer.
