Staff was very friendly, very helpful except for one.

They advertise a hot tub, then when you get there, you’ll have to pay an additional fee for each person. Very friendly staff there was some art on the wall, announcing a list of people that we weren’t exactly sure of the translation it happened to be one of my cousins max Hermann and we got a really negative rude response when we inquired kind of made it very uncomfortable, needless to say, we never got the answer. And through miscommunication, we thought that my cousin was deceased found out that he was not. Had the person been a little more helpful I could’ve may have reunited with the cousin from my family‘s hometown since 1300 don’t know where his attitude had come from, But it was just not appreciated not comfortable sad that he felt so entitled to be so rude.

Everyone at the hotel were extremely courteous and warm. It was a pleasure meeting them . Especially appreciated the ,on the house,coffee, tea and water at the reception. This is a true luxury in Europe The Location is exceptional. It was quiet and serene, yet accessible to the major tourist spots. I am definitely coming back again.. Special thanks to Jascha and Kay . Sorry if I got the spellings wrong, but they were so kind and thoughtful.

Good Location, nice views and gives a very luxurious but vintage vibe. Rooms were very comfy and homelike. Had a upgrade to a Junior suite which was amazing!

In my case the door to the bathroom was towards the entry of the room but the bed area was the complete other side. You had to walk around the whole room to get to the bathroom. Breakfast options felt somwhat limited nevertheless they were good

Lovely hotel located right in front of the beautiful lake of Lucerne. Special atmosphere in particular at sunset - the lake is spectacular. The restaurant is facing the lake view and you can eat outside. The staff is exceptional, extremely kind and caring. I have arrived early in the morning and they did their very best to prepare the room prior the actual check-in time. The hotel is close to a supermarket and a lovely café-bar with bakery and restaurants. It is also close to trekking routes in particular the one along the lake which is absolutely great. The room I stayed was very spacious, comfort and quite with a terrace. Modern look and exceptionally clean. Highly recommended.

Excellent location a short walk from the station with great Lake and mountain views. Lovely large bright rooms. Fabulous breakfast with selection of continental options plus really tasty bacon and egg with delicious bread choices.

Nothing. Except maybe the road resurfacing works at the time but not really an issue as was not facing them.

A lovely hotel, with friendly and helpful staff, in a beautiful lakeside location. A 16-minute train journey from Luzern and well worth it for the lakeside views and its proximity to Stans. Try to get a room with a balcony and a view of the lake. Breakfast is very good. Its adjacent pizzeria was warm and welcoming with a lovely smell of woodsmoke and the best pizzas I have ever tasted. Good choice of starters and desserts too. Very highly recommended.

Initially apprehensive about Winkelried location outside of Lucerne, we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's exceptional friendliness, captivating beauty of the lake and the mountain, and convenient access to our desired activities such as the Cabrio and downtown Lucerne, proving our doubts wrong and leaving us grateful for the decision to stay here. It's really a memorable experience in the Stansstad area after taking the boat ride, which is less than 3 minutes from the hotel. Our room was facing the mountain and town view that you seldom see in USA, and I think it's equally nice as the lake view. If given the opportunity, we will come back to Winkelreid in the future.

Perfect location at the lake and near the tower and Badi, clean and spacious room, great breakfast and very friendly staff - overall a great stay. Only thing I would recommend is getting a view at the lake- that’s really amazing. My friend had a room higher up and with the lake view and I must admit that is really stunning and a difference with the first floor parking lot.

I would select a lake view room next time

Excellent location outside the busy city with a beautiful park 5 min walk. Small grocery store right by the hotel and 3-4 restaurants. Really enjoyed getting pizza to go and walking to the park for a picnic and swim. Mt pilatus cog train is 8 min away, and train to Lucerne is 5 min. If you don’t want to be in the city but be able to travel there quickly then this place is ideal.

They are so disciplined and the check-in procedure went so smoothly. We were guided to our rooms pleasantly and the room had a fantastic view. Well, the city is like a gem that every angle was a beautiful one. The facilities were great, the breakfast was not so elaborate but top quality.

Nothing I cannot recall a single thing that I did not like about the hotel. It exceeded my expectations.
