From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. One of the owners, the lovely “Sweet Fabiola,” was there to greet us personally at 11 PM. She gave us a quick tour of the property and even helped us carry our bags to the room — a rare and thoughtful gesture. The next morning, I woke up to a full itinerary sent via WhatsApp, filled with recommendations for activities on the lake and in the mountains. The same level of care and attention was given again for Day 2 — a truly personalized experience. The location is simply breathtaking. Just a 3KM walk uphill from the property takes you into one of the most peaceful forest trails imaginable, with rivers, a waterfall, and a little pond that feels straight out of a fairytale. Don’t miss it!

The quality of the bedding, the fact that there were no fans in the rooms. Having said that Patrick managed to get a standing unit the very next morning, but visiting during a heat wave didn’t help.

Most stunning views and a lovely pool the kids loved, also really friendly staff and pleasant breakfast.

Nothing much to report! Rooms are a bit dated but still charming and comfortable enough for a short stop-over and it doesn’t really matter considering the beautiful setting. The drive from the motorway is about 15-20min up many hairpins - may not be for everybody but we enjoyed it!

Al Ponte is a warm, family-run gem that truly exceeded our expectations. The stunning view is simply unforgettable, but what makes the experience even more special is the kindness and genuine hospitality of the owners. Thank you for creating such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere — we truly felt at home. Looking forward to coming back!

With a great view of Lake Lugano. Good value for money in the expensive Switzerland. (It is On the hill close to Lugano, so you need a car to be able to drive there.)

Without an A/C the room could get quite hot during the summer. There is no elevator so it would be cumbersome if you have bulky luggages.

The views are amazing and the hospitality cannot be matched. Also very well equiped and super clean rooms.I cannot think of a better place for relaxed family or couple vacation. We will definitely be back. :D don't forget to bring your swimming suits 👙

The hotel is located on a mountain in Cademario, a 35-minute bus ride from Lugano. From there, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Lugano city center and the lake. The hotel provides a transportation pass for convenient travel to and from the city center.

Lovely hotel run by a family with amazing views on lake Lugano. Beautiful setting and lovely swimming pool. Possible to have breakfast outside or inside both with amazing views. Very nice friendly owners who gave us nice tips to explore the surroundings. About 15-20 min drive from Lugano.

The view is amazing along with an amazing staff. Also, there was free public transportation to and from the hotel to visit the city.

Although the hotel is in the mountain, the room was warm & it could use a fan for those warm days

The location is beautiful, there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that takes you to and back from the city center. I have to say Fabiola and her husband Patrick (owners) made me feel right at home, they’re very hospitable, friendly, caring and Patrick makes one hell of a good pasta. Would definitely come back again!
