The room was clean, tidy and the perfect size for a solo traveller. Good facilities, and glacier water straight out of the tap. An absolutely unforgettable view out of the window every morning no matter what room you are in and the centre of Zermatt is literally a 30 second walk away, as well as many beautiful viewing spots for the Matterhorn. This place is also incredibly affordable compared to many other places of accommodation in Zermatt so I would highly highly recommend! The staff are all wonderful (and English speakers as well thankfully as my German is not up to scratch!) they have a wonderful bar downstairs and a lovely glass fronted dining area and the food there was lovely. They also offer a free transport service to and from Zermatt train station when you arrive which is a god-send after a long day of travelling. All round an amazing experience, Danke Schön!

My only complaint would be no tea and coffee in the rooms but I understand logistically that is difficult. The only other thing I didn't like is that I couldn't stay for longer!

We had an unforgettable stay at Hotel Jägerhof in Zermatt! The breakfast was a delightful start to each day, offering a wide variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes. Dinner on our first night was equally impressive, with a menu that offered high-quality ingredients. The service was exceptional, particularly from the waitstaff. The Argentinian waiter stood out with his friendly demeanor and excellent recommendations. We were also impressed by the waiter from Granada, who was attentive and made us feel very welcome. Additionally, the staff member from Portugal was professional and warm, adding to our overall experience. Our apartment was fantastic, featuring two separate rooms and spacious balconies with nice views, including a view of the Matterhorn mountain from one of the balconies. The cleaning service was exceptional, and they even washed the dishes with the washing machine every day if needed. The free transport from the train station was a convenient perk, making our arrival and departure hassle-free. The hotel's location is perfect—quiet at night for a restful sleep, yet just a short walk to the North Wall pizzeria and Julen restaurant, where we enjoyed some wonderful meals. After a day of skiing, the bar was a great spot to unwind with an Aperol Spritz. We highly recommend Hotel Jägerhof for its outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The breakfast was very good, but more fresh fruit options instead of just the fruit salad would be a great addition. The cappuccino was fantastic—creamy with excellent foam. However, the bacon (speck) was sometimes a bit burned. Everything else was excellent, though having a coffee machine in the room would have been a nice touch. The apartment was very well stocked with cutlery and a variety of kitchen items, making our stay comfortable and convenient.

Comfortable, friendly and unpretentious hotel close to main street, and 10-15 minutes walk from railway station and from Matterhorn Glacier Paradise gondola station. Free hotel shuttle available. Charming wooden interiors, carpeted floor in bedroom, all very warm and clean. Good space to hang clothes and unpack. No air conditioning but windows opened. Quiet at night. Beautiful view over Matterhorn from room and balcony. Good shower, heated towel rail in bathroom, ordinary toiletries in squeeze bottles. Excellent breakfast and dinner available.

Tea and coffee making facilities in room would have been welcome. Not the hotel's fault, but we stayed in Zermatt out of season (end April) so many shops, hotels, restaurants, and cable cars up the mountains were closed.

Hotel room, staff, breakfast were all excellent and Zermatt is amazing. BUT hotel advertising offered a free transfer from the station but also said it was a 5 minute walk. We opted for the short walk. After 20 minutes with luggage climbing the hill to the hotel my wife was not happy. We would have taken the shuttle if not for faulty advertising. The shortest walk was 1.2 km; taking the first bridge to avoid main street crowding was 1.4 km. Nobody does that in 5 minutes. The shuttle itself took 5 minutes. A small criticism but an important one.

Amazing chalet style hotel! The location is super and they even offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the train station. The staff truly go above and beyond making sure you have a memorable stay and we’re always happy to help. The breakfast was one of the best we had in all of Switzerland with a full buffet, all the teens in our groups and adults complimented the selection every morning. We were able to walk everywhere from the hotel, as it was a 5 minute walk to the Main Street

The hotel was great. It is very welcoming and the staff is very friendly. The room had almost everything we thought necessary for an excellent stay. Delicious breakfast with great products. Excellent location!

When we got to the room we didn't have a bottle of water or an electric kettle. We went to reception and the only thing they provided was an electric kettle. Tea and coffee, just buy. It's not friendly and it's something that even in the most basic hotels anywhere in the world, there is always tea and coffee available in the room.

Excellent hotel location, just a few minutes' walk from the city center and the main bus station for all the cable cars. The room was comfortable, modernly furnished, and clean. Breakfast was good. The hotel's ambiance was very pleasant and relaxing. The staff deserves special praise—exceptionally kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about everything we needed. A special shout-out to the young man at the reception and the one who drove us from the train station (Alejandro, if I remember correctly).

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Jägerhof during April first week. The staff was super friendly and supportive right from the time in arranging shuttle service to pick us from station till dropping us back which is very useful esp when travelling with luggages. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Even Breakfast at hotel was good with decent spread sufficient. We stayed for two nights in Alpine double room with balcony and will recommend this hotel to the fellow travellers planning to visit zermat town.

Staff are super friendly and helpful. Really appreciate that one of them came out to find me in the rain when I missed the hotel's entrance.(TIP: There's no" road line" on google and open maps, but just turn left and you'll find it. However, just call for a shuttle make things easier :P) The designs of room is so elegant and brilliant. The wood parts and furniture mix with some morden elements. The bathroom is also with bright and elgant desigen.As a single room, it is not large but enough for opening a big suitcase. The room is super clean. The plugs and lights are the best. There are many hotels in Switzerland offer plugs and lights at strange places which feels useless. It's convenient to walk to the church bridge for photos and also walk up to some trails from here. Had a 3-course meal here once and the meals are very delicious. The breakfast is also great and delicious. The Cappuccino from coffee machine was so great.There are three different themes (atmosphere) of seats in restaurant. Fun and nice.

Maybe the onlything is that the bacon is kind of too salty for me. But it's super crispy, which is great.

The location is perfect for easy ski bus access to all lifts. It is also a couple-minute walk into the center of town. There is a ski/boot locker room that makes it easy to come and go from the slopes without needing to schlep ski equipment to the room. Breakfast is great - good variety and runs all morning. The staff were terrific. Room cleaning services were exceptional. The shuttle from the train station to the hotel was beyond helpful and very easy.
