The room was clean, tidy and the perfect size for a solo traveller. Good facilities, and glacier water straight out of the tap. An absolutely unforgettable view out of the window every morning no matter what room you are in and the centre of Zermatt is literally a 30 second walk away, as well as many beautiful viewing spots for the Matterhorn. This place is also incredibly affordable compared to many other places of accommodation in Zermatt so I would highly highly recommend! The staff are all wonderful (and English speakers as well thankfully as my German is not up to scratch!) they have a wonderful bar downstairs and a lovely glass fronted dining area and the food there was lovely. They also offer a free transport service to and from Zermatt train station when you arrive which is a god-send after a long day of travelling. All round an amazing experience, Danke Schön!

My only complaint would be no tea and coffee in the rooms but I understand logistically that is difficult. The only other thing I didn't like is that I couldn't stay for longer!

Everything is amazing in Hotel Jägerhof. We all love and miss here. We enjoyed spacious family rooms on the top floor where we could see Matterhorn every day and night. From the time when we arrived at Zermatt, we were well served by taking E-taxis, introducing the neighborhood, and enjoying great views from the great balcony. The breakfast here is good as well that we had enough energy to walk every day.

None. If I really have to say, it's probably that the clouds were very thick during the days we stayed, so we didn't see the sunrise over Matterhorn. Maybe we'll visit again someday.

The family suite has 3 bedrooms and has spacious common areas, including a comfortable living room and dining area. There’s also a kitchen stocked with cookware and utensils, so we were able to cook during our stay. The balcony has a lovely view of the garden, the town, the chalets, and the Matterhorn (if it's not feeling shy). Very relaxing. The alpine suites can feel a bit tight if you have two or more pieces of luggage, but it’s still manageable. They also have great views of the town and the Matterhorn! The rooms are clean, and the staff are super friendly, accommodating, and responsive. The breakfast was average. The hotel is about <10-minute walk from the town center and train stations, and you'll pass by stores and restaurants along the way. If you’re traveling with lots of luggage, definitely make use of the free shuttle. It makes things a lot easier!

We had an unforgettable stay at Hotel Jägerhof in Zermatt! The breakfast was a delightful start to each day, offering a wide variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes. Dinner on our first night was equally impressive, with a menu that offered high-quality ingredients. The service was exceptional, particularly from the waitstaff. The Argentinian waiter stood out with his friendly demeanor and excellent recommendations. We were also impressed by the waiter from Granada, who was attentive and made us feel very welcome. Additionally, the staff member from Portugal was professional and warm, adding to our overall experience. Our apartment was fantastic, featuring two separate rooms and spacious balconies with nice views, including a view of the Matterhorn mountain from one of the balconies. The cleaning service was exceptional, and they even washed the dishes with the washing machine every day if needed. The free transport from the train station was a convenient perk, making our arrival and departure hassle-free. The hotel's location is perfect—quiet at night for a restful sleep, yet just a short walk to the North Wall pizzeria and Julen restaurant, where we enjoyed some wonderful meals. After a day of skiing, the bar was a great spot to unwind with an Aperol Spritz. We highly recommend Hotel Jägerhof for its outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The breakfast was very good, but more fresh fruit options instead of just the fruit salad would be a great addition. The cappuccino was fantastic—creamy with excellent foam. However, the bacon (speck) was sometimes a bit burned. Everything else was excellent, though having a coffee machine in the room would have been a nice touch. The apartment was very well stocked with cutlery and a variety of kitchen items, making our stay comfortable and convenient.

Comfortable, friendly and unpretentious hotel close to main street, and 10-15 minutes walk from railway station and from Matterhorn Glacier Paradise gondola station. Free hotel shuttle available. Charming wooden interiors, carpeted floor in bedroom, all very warm and clean. Good space to hang clothes and unpack. No air conditioning but windows opened. Quiet at night. Beautiful view over Matterhorn from room and balcony. Good shower, heated towel rail in bathroom, ordinary toiletries in squeeze bottles. Excellent breakfast and dinner available.

Tea and coffee making facilities in room would have been welcome. Not the hotel's fault, but we stayed in Zermatt out of season (end April) so many shops, hotels, restaurants, and cable cars up the mountains were closed.

Hotel room, staff, breakfast were all excellent and Zermatt is amazing. BUT hotel advertising offered a free transfer from the station but also said it was a 5 minute walk. We opted for the short walk. After 20 minutes with luggage climbing the hill to the hotel my wife was not happy. We would have taken the shuttle if not for faulty advertising. The shortest walk was 1.2 km; taking the first bridge to avoid main street crowding was 1.4 km. Nobody does that in 5 minutes. The shuttle itself took 5 minutes. A small criticism but an important one.

Amazing chalet style hotel! The location is super and they even offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the train station. The staff truly go above and beyond making sure you have a memorable stay and we’re always happy to help. The breakfast was one of the best we had in all of Switzerland with a full buffet, all the teens in our groups and adults complimented the selection every morning. We were able to walk everywhere from the hotel, as it was a 5 minute walk to the Main Street

The hotel was great. It is very welcoming and the staff is very friendly. The room had almost everything we thought necessary for an excellent stay. Delicious breakfast with great products. Excellent location!

When we got to the room we didn't have a bottle of water or an electric kettle. We went to reception and the only thing they provided was an electric kettle. Tea and coffee, just buy. It's not friendly and it's something that even in the most basic hotels anywhere in the world, there is always tea and coffee available in the room.

The pickup and dropoff service from the Zermatt train station to the hotel was so helpful. The view of the mountains from our hotel room balcony was excellent and scenic. The room was modern, clean, and the bathroom was well-sized. The breakfast was good and had a lot of options.

The only thing I would recommend is to have a coffee machine inside the room, other than that, everything else was great.
