Hotel is a short 5-8mins walk from Taipei Main station. Shower and toilet facilities are modern and new. Staff were welcoming and helpful in answering queries.

The underground mall can be quite confusing for first timer. And taking the Z exits mean a taking a long flight of stairs to ground level with no escalator or elevator. I would suggest skipping the underground mall and just take the exit directly opposite Caesar Park Taipei/YMCA. Single room is slightly too small for a luggage to be fully opened and yet comfortably maneuver around the room. Cleanliness is considered above average but I found some hairs on the table.

free coffee, refillable water, good location - just a straight bee line to airport mrt and 15 mins relaxed pace walk to main station, there's 7/11 and family mart near the hotel, it's also near the bus stop for the Roosevelt line that that will stop by maokong gondola, helpful staff - you can leave your luggage before check-in no questions asked, decent soundproofing - some noise may creep in from the traffic outside, but it did not disrupt my sleep at all, I don't remember hearing any noise from the other guests as well, hotel also has 2 elevators

the hotel will pre-charge 50% of the total room rate as a security deposit and will return/refund the charge 10-15 days after checkout

Quite near to train station - there is an opening to the station's underground mall just 2 minutes walk away. However the walk through the underground mall to the station takes about 5 minutes. From the airport MRT station it takes about 7-10 mins with luggage and you have to walk above ground. Several nice eateries in the mall and around the hotel. Convenience store downstairs too. Hotel has a pantry downstairs with a machine that makes coffee, hot chocolate, latte etc. Filtered water via a machine also available downstairs. There is also a small common area where people can eat but it's accessible by stairs only. Pantry is also accessible by stairs only. Stayed in a 2-person bunk bed room. It's very small, enough space for 2 mid-sized luggage. There is a TV for each bed. Powerpoint is beside each bed. Toilet is ok, shampoo and body soap provided. Towels provided. Water pressure and water temperature are great. Bed is comfortable. 2 pillows provided. 4 hangers provided only. We requested for more hangers. It'd be better if there is a hook on the wall in the toilet to hang clothes from. Generally comfortable to stay in, I slept well.

The location was great. We walked to Ximending (the touristy shopping area for young people). Lots of places for breakfast around the hotel too! The elevators were quick and we never needed to wait long. The room air conditioner and TV were great. The staff were exceptional, spoke perfect English, and were super courteous -- plus points for smiling all the time! Also, I loved the free coffee (it's hidden in a back room but make sure you check it out)!!!

The room was tiny. Basically the room walls were wrapped around the bed, with some space left over by the foot area so that you could walk to the bathroom. I 100% expected this though based on my research of Taipei hotel rooms, but it's still rather inconvenient.

The room size is not too small and it's quite perfect for solo traveller. It is spacious and can fit large luggage. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's unexpectedly not noisy at all during the night. The location is convenient for travel - around 10 mins walk to Taipei main station where you can take MRT, HSR and airport commuter. The cleaning service will only be provided every 3 night of your stay yet you can ask the hotel to change the towel and take out garbage everyday.

The room is very humid, even I change the AC to dry mode but it doesn't really help. Also, it was very bright at night. The bed is beside the window and the curtain didn't properly do its job. I kinda have hard time sleeping because of the light. So be careful if you're light-sensitive person and need to sleep in the dark room.

I loved that everything was squeaky clean and all the soaps and shampoos etc were plentiful and of good quality and didn't smell like an 8 yr old's choice. The bed in my room was a twin, can't remember the last time I slept in a twin, but it was more than sufficient and it wasn't hard as a board. Everything was a bit tight but very efficient and every little nook and cranny was used to max effect. Everyone was super smiley and hospitable which as I have found in this round of travels in south east Asia is not always the norm in hospitality.

If I had to pick one thing I didn't like it was... I can't think of anything that was bad about the stay other than I only had 1 long layover day.

1) Good location - short walk from Taipei station, which makes it very convenient if you're taking the express train from Taoyuan Airport. But there's not much in the area, perhaps more if you stay near Beimen or Ximen station. 2) Comfortable and cosy - Taipei hotels tend to be on the smaller side but at least the room was very comfortable. Good size if you're travelling with perhaps 1x large suitcase and 1x small carry-on suitcase, otherwise there isn't enough space to have your suitcases open. 3) Clean! 4) Good bathroom configuration - has a ledge that allows you to leave your toiletries out for easy access.

1) Only 1x washing machine and 1x dryer, which do not tell you the duration left for the wash/dry cycle - you may not be able to catch the window of time to wash + dry your clothes. 2) Insufficient hangers / space to hang your clothes / coats 3) Bathroom wall is slightly translucent, the bathroom door does not close properly and ends up ajar

1. Near Taipei Train station and Airport metro (The airport line is just straight walk across the road) 2. Near a night market, with lots of eateries nearby 3. The female receptionist is very friendly

1. A bit pricey for this size of room 2. If you come from the underground street, you need to climb the stairs, no elevator/ escalator accessible. It may be a concern for those with big bags.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Hotel Relax number 5! Great value for money, very clean, well designed and comfortable rooms. For Taipei, they are reasonably sized. Located right near the main metro station, it's an awesome hub to get anywhere around the city! Also you're across the road from a Michelin star pepper cake stall - make the most of it! We were grateful for the laundry amenities on site, where you can get detergent for free from reception.

This didn't bother us, but the room cleaning is done only a couple times a week. You can get new towels and rubbish removal any time however.

Easy to find, good location, helpful staff, nice inclusion of amenities like teas and coffees, and I had a good sleep. No breakfast, but plenty of delicious food options nearby. Within walking distance of Taipei Main Station(TMS), but note it is one of the hotels further from the actual airport MRT turnstyle in TMS (expect at least a 10-15 minute walk).

Although it included a free beer at a nearby restaurant, I don't drink beer, so it was not a good perk for me. It is a bit of a walk from the airport MRT location at Taipei Main Station, but if you are taking a taxi, traveling light or have wheels on your bag, it's not a problem. Room shapes vary due to the building shape, so by chance you may get a normal rectangular room with a decent sized bathroom, or you might get an odd shaped room with a smaller bathroom.
