I just spent one night at Poshpacker Hotel when I arrived in Taipei. It was my first time in the city and it was easy to find. It was a perfect place to land, simple and practical. The room was very clean and well set up with a back lit mirror. The shared bathroom was also very clean and tidy with good facilities. There's free laundry upstairs in the women's only building where I was staying. I was pleased to be able to open the window for fresh air and it had a fly screen on it. It's on a busy corner, but soundproofing was fairly good. When I checked out I was able to store my bag in a free locker downstairs for a couple of hours, which was great. Easy and convenient, would stay again!

The only thing that bugged me was the strong smell of air freshener, not great for anyone who gets migraines.

Strategic location center of the town in Taipei and nice views with window, place is quite clean, facilities ok, like soap , tissue, clean bath room, washing machines, dry clothes machines. And have nice customer service, so helpful when needed.

The bed is little hard and please clean up bed cover/ change it with new one, when i sleep ever feel my thigh is itchy and getting red. On the roof top don’t have place to dry clothes like tie to hang up clothes.

Very nice room, albeit without window but I knew that beforehand and didn’t mind that. The room is small but comfortable and cozy, clean and modern. There is no desk, which might be a problem for some though. You can hear other guests through the walls but it’s not anything crazy. The cleaning staff changes your sheets and towel for free, which is great. The toilets were modern and very clean, with modern seats with built in water jets. I loved that there were multiple hair dryers available. Staff was very nice and helpful. The location on its own is amazing (near main train station) and all in all great accommodation for the price.

The showers were okay, but there is a mold on the ceiling, it would be good to get rid of it. Had some trouble with washing machine but the staff dealt with it right away. I would welcome if there were more washing machines available and if one load of laundry was a bit cheaper (right now it’s 50 NTD). Also, having water dispensers on more floors, not just lobby and roof would be also appreciated. Would appreciate an additional pillow.

Staff very helpful and exceptionally clean. Had late checkout free and stored my luggage until I had lunch and went to airport. Also had fridge and microwave. Washing machine and driers on 5th floor of my building. Hot water available all day/night

The hotel was split to both sides of the road with the microwave in basement on one side and the fridge on 5th floor on my side. I did not explore the other side until last day so maybe they had fridge on other floor but on my side no microwave.

The Hostel: Adequately equipped private room (including TV, small fridge, safe, towel, water bottles, etc). Everything is in good condition and clean. Shared men’s bathroom was well maintained and clean with hot showers/strong water pressure. WiFi worked well. Some reviewers complained about the room size. Yes, the room is small. But you’re also getting full privacy for a little more than the cost of a shared dorm. It’s a great value! The Stay: The bed was incredibly comfortable and the street was on the quiet side. The hostel is centrally located with easy access to the MRT and Airport Link. Plenty of great food options in the vicinity. The Service: Everyone was very kind and helpful. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Great value for the price. 10/10 would recommend!

Wall port: There are universal ports in the room so you don't have to worry about bringing taiwan charging port. Kitchen is located in the basement and provides water refill and microwave. Laundry and dryer on the rooftop works well although the instructions for the dryer aren't as straightforward. For the dryers, you have to turn the timer to 70 min before pressing start for them to generate heat. The timer on the dryer is independent of the timer on the coin machine

Room and bed: The room I got includes the table and a chair (301). However, the bed is very small; I'm 175 cm and I touched the end of the duvet. If anyone is taller than 5 ft 9, they would use all the duvet and the bed would be too small for them. The room also has no heater and was around 18-20 degree Celsius, I'd imagine some travelers would be more comfortable staying in a warmer room with a heater. Wifi is weak at night when guests go back to the hotel. I ended up using my data which is fine because it is unlimited for me. Noise isolation: I can hear sound through the wall as many other reviewers has pointed out. This hotel is not for light sleeper.

Clean, comfortable and in a good location. The washrooms were cleaned daily. It was very useful to have laundry available in the building and detergent pods were free. There are handy lockers in the basement for leaving your luggage when you aren't checked in. The basement lounge is useful, especially if you're eating takeaway or 7/11 breakfast. I would stay here again if traveling solo. The desk staff and cleaning staff were both pleasant. Ximending area is nearby and the hotel is in the camera district which is very useful if you're a photographer. It's also within walking distance of Taipei Main Station. Great value for money for solo travelers. Wifi works well.

It was a little loud early in the morning due to street traffic but if you wear earplugs it shouldn't be a problem to sleep. Earplugs are available at the check-in counter. The bed was a little small if you're over 6' tall, but I managed.

The room was ok in size, AC was working well. Fridge also worked decently, but there was no way to adjust the temperature. Toilets are Japanese style. 7/11, food stalls nearby. Location is good if you like walking, it’s walking distance from Taipei Main Station, NTU Hospital, and Ximen stations. It’s also in a relatively quiet neighbourhood.

There wasn't a lot of hooks to place clothes.

I really like that it is strategically located. I always use NTU Hospital MRT station to reach to places that I want to go. It also nearby to Ximending, National Taiwan Museum and Taipei Main Station. A lot of nice local stores that you can go. It also nearby to Halal Beef Noodles shop (Bonus point if you are halal gurlll). The staff is also nice and speak English quite well. The elevator all works perfectly. The lounge is quite and the rooftop also pretty. If you are a solo traveller, please try this hotel.

None that I could think of.

great location, near Taipei station, interchange to many transport modes and lines. if you are going from underground mall, exit thru Z10. it's like a capsule but you get a small room instead of just a bed. comfy and clean room.

there is hot water shower, but I can either choose between getting hot enough water or good water pressure. not sure if it's a problem of just that particular shower cubicle.
